Title: ICQ not working Post by: Bayne on April 16, 2005, 11:34:46 am My icq seems to be messing up on me, whenever I sign in it gets to the point where the green flower image appears on my toolbar but does not allow me to open icq menu or even right click.
Anyone else having this problem? Title: Re: ICQ not working Post by: Jessica Fortus on April 16, 2005, 12:29:16 pm If the program crashes ('This program has performed an illegal operation/caused an error in XXXXX et cetera') then you may have had the same froblem as myself. I set ICQ to automatically opening messages and I would guess that the message that ICQ had to upgrade conflicted with the messages from people automatically opening, and it caused a crash. I eventually logged in on a different account, then upgraded ICQ, then logged back in and all was dandy.
Basically, first question, do you have the latest upgrade? (ICQlite, if you're a 'lite user, version 5) If not, upgrade post haste. If so...I dunno. Reinstall it? Title: Re: ICQ not working Post by: Bayne on April 17, 2005, 11:02:58 am I managed to get up the contact list using a different link than the one on the toolbar but it has removed all my groups and put them all into general which is a bit annoying.
I think chat programs have it in for me, msn hasn't even been able to install on my comp for about 6 months, irc doesn't work and now icq too. *sighs* |
