Title: Lexin Leontine Post by: Lexin Leontine on July 30, 2007, 11:28:13 pm Name: Lexin Abrask Leontine
Race: Human Age: 27 Bio The Smith Lexin Leontine, raised in Minoc as an Innkeeper decided against his Guardian's wishes to become a blacksmith, he trained from an early age in the mines and forges of Sosaria. Lexin at first appearances looks like a well-built sturdy man, however.. he only uses his strength to wield his pickaxe and carry heavy materials around, he is no fighter. A defining feature of Lexin is his age at first glance, when one looks at him they would think straight away that he is in his mid-thirties but due to the long years of staring into the forge and the stresses of completing bulk orders on time have left his appearance to wander ahead of his age. Also his 'tache that he likes to twiddle throw people off. The Man Behind The 'Tache Lexin is not your stereotypical blacksmith, well spoken and at times well dressed, he likes to be polite as possible at all times. This is due to his "Noble Heritage" that he has been told about since early ages, yet he never explored this. Another odd thing about Lexin as a crafter is he turns a blind eye to intoxicating beverages, one of his favorite lines being "A warped eye can only end in a warped blade" and "I would only drink on a special occasion". Lexin is illiterate, he can only read enough to get himself through a bulk order, he's not ashamed of this however as he has learned to live with it. A Life Of Rumour Lexin was born by "accident" or so he says, his father was a traveler and his biological mother died during childbirth, Lexin was taken to Minoc to be raised by another woman he was led to believe was his mother, his father did not want him to remain for he bore a name Leontine which was an ill-spoken name of the time due to the events surrounding the "Lioness" (See Illena Leontine's Profile). He was given the name Lexin Abrask Nabradis to hide his identity from anyone wishing to end the Leontine bloodline. As he grew up he learned of this "Lioness" and rumors of Lexin's strange resemblance to her, his wanderlust took him far and wide searching for this being to find out the truth of his heritage. His search was in vain though. Nobody would tell him the truth so he gave up, never knowing who he really was. After learning of his Father's mysterious death by the shrine of compassion in Ilshenar he left Minoc searching for work, years went by and he could only find bits here and there to do. Until one day... The Discovery of Cove and the Lioness Lexin wandered through the land aimlessly and frustrated by the lack of work, he eventually stopped and threw himself to the ground, tired and fed-up. It was at that point fate stepped in, He had given up just outside the Covian Library. Where an elderly woman stepped out of the building, she returned back in shortly, Lexin saw her and was mysteriously compelled to follow her in. She Introduced herself as Ileana Leontine, he thought nothing of it at this point, he just wanted to work. After they had talked for a while she offered him work under the Baronship of Cove. He signed straight up without thinking twice. A while later both Lexin and Ileana sat in the local Inn sharing stories of the past over a glass of water, there pasts strangely intertwined at several points, she had lost someone at the shrine of compassion, they both knew of the Lioness and the peril of Ilshenar. It was at this point Ileana felt it necessary for them to go back to the library and talk. So they did. Ileana sat Lexin down and said something that would stick to Lexin's heart forever: "He never told me he had children", Lexin had finally discovered his heritage, the youngest in the line of Leontines, bastard son to an Avatarian who met his fate whilst visiting a shrine, And now grandson to a woman branded by the Church. Lexin cast away Nabradis, the name covering his identity... and officially changed his name to "Lexin Abrask Leontine" The Present Lexin now owns a workshop south-east of Cove called "The Fighter's Edge", crafting for the Baronship.
