Welcome to Cove

In order to protect our lands we must be constantly vigilant and commited in our patrolling. Short, sharp, routine patrols are what homeland security is made of. Patrols do not have to gruelling tests of endurance, but can be a simple march around the Covian Shire, or Cove itself!

We met up at the Barracks and Junior Gardsman asked us if we would Patroll wit 'im, So we went ta Cove ta make sure everythin' was ok. On our patroll the Junior met a citisan and started tal'ing ta 'im and 'ad asked 'im ef 'e wanted ta join the Baronship, Out patroll was cut a wee bit short.

We were instructed to raise 5 thousand crowns of gold for the church by Junior guardsmen Draco who had just come back from his leave we fought many varieties of undead Liches, zombies, ghouls, skeletons and even spectres each hoard of them we fought then stronger they got but they were no match for us the to mighty Covian militia recruits.

Any ways we succeeded in destroying a huge amount of undead think it was about 43 undead.

We all lined up outside the barracks waiting for the objective. However, there was none given. We all marched to the graveyard as we got to the graveyard Valario shouted, 'ATTACK!' We all armed ourselves up and prepared for a fight. We did not do very well, 4 of our squad got knocked and we were not very organised.

When we had all been resurrected, we proceeded into the graveyard with cauction and cleared the area of any zombies, ghouls and liches.

As we got to the back of the graveyard, we came to the stairs that lead to the burial chamber. We all formed a square around Valario, he shouted, 'CHARGE!' we all armed ouselves again, we ran up the stairs into the chamber. However there was nothing there. Esekiel joked, 'what a battle' we all laughed. Suddenly we were ambushed by 2 ghouls and a zombie we cleared them out quickly.

We made our way back to the barracks in a tram line. Did not go very well, us recruit need more practise.

All in all a good patrol, nothing serious. Esekiel's humour kept our morale up, Ysabelle kept us pretty safe with her long range weapon and Valario kept us alive with his trusty healing powers.

Patrol:Finding that little goblin Tweeso in Cove and surrounding areas.

Description: We searched for that little goblin for quite a while, but found or heard nothing. The only clue we had was that a peasant near the lake said that she saw a goblin running away from a giant spider. We presumed that this was Tweeso but we though nothing of it and decided that he had gone to sleep in his mountain cave.

At first we all went searching together in the closest houses to the docks (leader Calico Kate thought that Tweeso does not stray far from the docks) but found nothing. We then entered Cove and split up in twos, We searched the intire town but still no sign, we decided to search the area on more time but then we decided that we should leave it and presume he was asleep.

In the early morning, Drachir, nominated as leader, took us for a short drill session in the roof, then on a local area patrol to the Orc Fort.

After the drill, Algy was posted on a (fruitless) sentry at the Cove Gates, as the rest of us went to see if anything was happening at the Orc Fort. We were greeted by an Orc Bomber, but nothing was out of the ordinary. As we returned, a lone orc was waiting just inside the Server Line, but that was slain without trouble. We returned just as Algy finished and returned to the Barracks for a rest.

Hunt: In Fire Dungeon

We lined up outside the barracks getting ready for the hunt inside the fire dungeon.

We gated there thanks to Senaria Deviant's excellent Mage Power.
Once we got there we were gated to a low level of the dungeon and Antonius did not know the way out of this level. However we kept going as we are Covians and knew we are never lost!

As we kept going we came across some hell hounds, fire elementals, elfreets and some unexpected allegators. We stayed alive, mostly, and did very well.

After a while we all decided that it was time to start at the beginning of the dungeon, we all recalled off a book that one of us had placed on the floor.

When we had all got out of the dreaded Fire Dungeon, a few of us were excused because we had some jobs to do. But, 3 or 4 kept going through from the beginning. We decided that they would be okay...

I split the 4 Recruits up into two teams. Two went to the North tower and such. The other two went check the walls. Cove was at its best.

The patrol didnt start off smoothely, as two of the recruits got lost from the group and new recruit Howrang was knocked out by a bandit. The bandit escaped and we regrouped in front of cove gate. There we saw a bandit lurking on the top of the wall, and the recruits were eager to go in and capture him. By the time Guardsman Hrothgar showed up the bandit was gone and we began our search. The party was split into two groups, leaving recruit Morgoth and myself with sir Hrothgar and recruits Arch, Ezekiel, Moon, and Cor'Ari to search the northern perimeter of town. After establishing that the town was clear, we moved on to the woods where we encountered a few ghouls and zombies. we cam to the cemetary and cleared it out of the undead plague, after that we headed up to Altmere. On the way, we struck down a wanted priest of the mondain, and cleared out a brigand camp on the path of Altmere. After checking Altmere, we returned to the barracks. During the patrol we collected over 3 thousand gold crowns, 50 feathers and 4 kindlings of wood. A very successful patrol.

At around Midday after finding a recruit and bringin 'im to the barracks for Tiberius to enlist I decided to go for a patrol around the surrounds to ensure the citizens were safe from Brigands and the like.

Not far from base I came accross Gorthak Of the House of Falconberg. He barked out a challenge and proceeded to tell me I was tresspassing and these lands belonged to the House of Falconberg. To which I replied his annex was illegal and that I hoped he planned to back his claims up with might!

He accepted my challenge and once engaged the first blow left him reeling. Upon realising his peril he made a break for it. Pursued almost halfway to the graveyard I finally felled him with another series of blows having taken a few myself.

After ensuring the blighter wasn't permanently dead I re-instated my Claims that the House annex was illegal and there was to be no more of it!. He mumbled a few choice utterings and stumbled off. Somehow I don't think he still agrees with the Baron's rights now that hes outta sight. Ill be keepin my eye out for this one again.

We started of at the Cove Barracks and went up to The cross-roads.
We Fought brigands along the way and rescued a nobleman called Ronald
When we reached the cross-roads we found no Falconburg members (unless they were in the shadows.) We did however stumble across more brigands who snuck up behind us.Talon the split us up into two groups and told my group to serach north of the cross-roads. Afterwards we went back to the barracks for a debrief and were dissmissed by our leader Talon

          We did indeed run en ter some Briggans and them refuse ter leave so we slaughtered them an' took them Gold fer the Barons Taxes.  We traveled awl the ter the North cross roads o' altmir and then returned ter them Barracks.

We head towards the graveyard for a quick bashing of those walking deadies, and we bashed many of them but my sword got damaged during it. I also found out that this recruit was an excellent warior but lacked dicipline in following orders

We pushed through the orcs to the docks slaying them by the dozens.  After a little while we decided that we had enough dead orcs.  So we pushed out of tha' place only to get ambushed.  I and Gregory had fallen but we were given a little 'elp out of ther'.  We also found a Falcon-something about the encampment I don't remember, but I think it was an enemy of tha' guild.

Sir Ahmed and I ran to the lower depths of Despise to slay the Ogre Lords.  When we went down there we killed about three before we ran into trouble.  Sir Ahmed took a massive hit to the face which knocked him hard against the wall.  I fou' for as long as I could, but then it flung me straight into a wall like a bleedin Rag Doll.  Sir Ahmed got to his feet and jabbed the bugger threw the eyes out tha' back of ets' skull.  We slayed more then looked around at the dozens of corpses.  We decided to leave the Ogres have apparently learned that size doesn't matter.

Report:  Things in Cove were normal there was no signs of Whales near the docks. After leaving Cove we made our way to Altmere, were when we arrived things were clear there as well, only trouble we had on the road to there was a band of Bandits which were taken care of swiftly..we then decided to make a trip to the Templars Keep to check that out as well... All things there were well and we only ran into a slight problem with bandits on our way back.. we then made our way back to Altmere once arriving there we found our way blocked by would looked like beings of undead. They kept spouting on about how they wanted there Cauldorn back or soemthing like that and wouldnt not let us leave. After  our leader talked to them for a few moments battle broke out..I was knocked out quickly when I was worken I had heard the good news of our winning the day. Thanks to the great leadership of our leader on this patrol Hrothgar, the undead where defeated. We then made our way back to the Barracks, after the wounded gathered there things.

A total wash, I'm afraid -- Or rather, relieved to report, as NO undead presence in the fair city of Cove is far preferable to the alternative.  Nonetheless, the comings and goings of the unruly dead tend to set one's teeth on edge, and had the troop found something to exterminate, perhaps the evening would have settled better with us. 

Under the watchful eye of Mr. Drachir, Seamus, Arkay and I scoured the shire and city whilst the gate was held by the indomitable Arevan and Fripp, and not hide nor rotting hair was found.  Though I did rather surprise the town's crier and sculptor, shall we say, in flagrante delicto when I barged in on them during the course of our investigations. Scandalous!

This small party was particulaly tight and kept well too orders and formations, i was especially pleased with the obedience of the group. I think all these recruits have a great potencial and will one day make great warriors.

To keep the orcs controlled we were to kick some heads, and Ryan decided to invade via the sea. All without Ben boarded Ryan´s fine ship, and took the long way around the mountain. Meanwhile Ben sneaked through the fort to get some first impressions of the enemy situation.
After landing on the Orc´s dock we did a fast, clean no-own-loss sweap and killed every Greenie we saw.
After the retreat to the ship the marines returned to Cove, while Ben did a last scouting inside the Fort.
Back at the barracks the lootet 11k were collected, those went into the Militias pocket.

We went to the cemetary and knocked the undead back to their graves.  It was easy and nay one was knocked.  Afterwards we headed to despise, but Garand did not want to go so disgusted I shood his arse out of my site. When we got to Despise we took down an Ogre Lord. Alexander got knocked but came to soon after.  We headed towards the exit and slayed many huge creatures on the way.  Then we headed back to the barracks and deposited about 3K of gold crowns to the Coffers.

On our way around town we were told of a Rouge Wisp harrassing farmers so we headed for the Cove Farm and dispatched this creature quickly.  We then headed for the Cove Lighthouse where we discovered a cow inside, we escorted it outside. Afer that incident we headed back to the Barracks and where Dissmissed.

Firstly we went down to the graveyard and purged the undead so much there   now dead corpses littered the ground in the graveyard

First we were off to the ALtmere post where everything seemed to be in order, then we were off to the graveyard, where we met some undead resistance. Dervish purged the place as the undead came with a final wave in a desperate attempt to stop us... On our way back, we heard and saw glimpses of stalking creatures among the trees...
Making haste to Cove again we found several undead that were effectively annihilated... Kal slew something weird with horns Erik claims too... To add, Seamus joined up in the struggle against the undead inside Cove...

I was alone checkin' our lands and fair city of Cove for trouble (i likes trouble) when I bumped into Watchman Moris bye t'docks.

'E err... invited me to join 'im on patrol, an' we headed for the barracks and was soon joined by Recruit Ronin Tirado.

Watchman Moris gathered some resources to build us an outpost in the graveyard an' we headed off to rid Cove of some nasties.

Although there be only three of us we showed fine teamwork covering and healing each other while makin' short work o' the undead.

We wen' there an' was me' by a rable of orcs, They were slayed in abou' two or three seconds. As we wen' deeper we came to one of 'em biggon's. After a long battle we afentually over came i'.

The three of us set about our task and were soon joined by Sergeant Maktoum an' Jennifer Feather, Watchman so in no time we 'ad cleared the area.

I apologise that i didn't have time fer any sketches but we were quickly called away to a mission against them yellow 'uns.

On arrivin' at the barracks I bumped into Junior Guardsman Garand. We decided to keep a check on them orcs tay make sure they hadn't strayed too far from their 'ole.

We quickly despatched the few that strayed out of their fort and after securing the immediate area we 'eaded to Cove to check the town an' docks.

Their was a curious fella called Rufus at the docks. 'E 'ad fished up a lot o' fishes (which Garand helped 'imself tay).

I gave 'im one of my Militia recruitment posters and satisfied that we was keepin the area safe from harm Garand and I returned to the barracks.

T'was the early hours and just me and sir Erik Arkay around at the Barrack. I was just writing on a report from the previous day when he told me to get ready to patrol outside. Better listen and do what he says I thought. Few minutes later we were both ready to head of, the Orc Fort would be the most suitable destination we thought, due to the lack of numbers. We marched a fair bit in the darkness, the day was a masterpiece. Once we finally got to the fort, we were attacked almost right away by a band of Orcs standing sentry outside, a few wytches, some Orc lords and a few of those weak ones, AND a Orc brute! An orc three times the size of an Orcish Lord. He was our primary goal, launching arrow after arrow, energy bolt after energy bolt, finally we had him on his knees, and it only took sir Erik to fire a final arrow at his throat, to stop his heart beating. The smaller Orcs wasn't half as skilled as the large one, and was dealt with in a matter of seconds. We decided to move in to the fort, even though I wasn't sure I wanted to. T'was not much of a challenge until we were facing yet another Brute! He was dealt with alot faster then the previous one though, now we were warmed up. After dealing with the second Brute, we decided to head back to the Barrack. And with thirteen thousand for the Baron, we were quite satisfied.

Local Area Patrol of Cove:

Following the cowardly attack on Covian forces by the treacherous Vesperians, and their subsequent rout, Corporal Valiro ordered a group of us to patrol Cove to ensure the town was secure.  This was done with no further sign of the Vesperians in our beloved town.

Junior Guardsmen organised a patrol of the Orc fort to the south.  Setting out, it wasn't long before we encountered the orcs.

Fighting deep inside the fort, we were attacked by a Brute, eventually slaying him with no casualties of our own.  This accomplished, we fought a rearguard action, killing yet more orcs as we left the fort.

I don't know why but after leavin' the tavern I felt an urge to patrol the shire.

I headed to the barracks to see if anyone was about and found Corporal Ni'Harel tendin' to her duties. I asked if she thought a patrol might be in order and persuaded her to lead it.

As she was rallying the available miltiamen Junior Guardsman Kurt appeared lookin' a bit battered an' bruised. *i knew somat was afoot I thought* It was the undead that 'ad jumped Kurt so off we went to patrol area.

First we checked the town but on the way we came across a pile o' corpses, fresh 'uns.

We carried on into the town an' checked the tower and docks, all being well Corporal Veldrin ordered us in tay the forest to see if we could find any undead prowlin' about.

We came across a few beasties but none o' the undead - though on more than one ocasion we thought we saw somethin' in the shadows. Nothing was found so happy that the area was secure we headed back to the barracks, a little downhearted that we couldn't avenge Kurts attack.

Strollin' through the forest I heard a commotion comin' from the gravyard. As i got closer I could see that Erik and Kiyoshi was givin' some zombies a good thrashin so i joined them.

Soon after Corporal Ni'Harel joined us and we proceeded to clear the graveyard.

On arrivin' back at the barracks we encountered Kurt who was challenging a stranger to our parts from Umbra? i believe. The intruder made a dash for it but Kurt an' Kiyoshi ran 'im down an' dispatched 'im.

All that was left was some rottin' bones and a scroll which Kurt read to us. The message was "Be warned ..." Kurt then burnt it believin' it was cursed.

Immediately after our patrol to the graveyard, Hoagie and I were subjected to yet another patrol! As tired as I was, I followed along bravely. We were going to.. Altmere! not nearly as pretty as around Cove but fairly pleasant, despite the lurking ogres. Before long and without too much incident we arrived at some kind of outpost or something. Evidently that was all that was required and after manning that post a bit, we were forced to march all the way back to Cove. But, finally, then I was able to rest!

I had just woken up and wandered by the Church when Mister  Delcarakdur was forming a little patrol for around the fine town of Cove. And what a lovely little town it is, by the way! So I immediately offered as I was eager to see more of the countryside. Little did I know that the destination was the foul graveyard nearby! We perservered and triumphed in the end, despite many owies and frightening encounters with the undead denizens of that infidel's paradise. How exhausting!

Patrol of Orc Fort, 7th October

A little worse for wear after the Tavern night, Recruit Hoagie and myself were put through our paces by Watchman Le Blanc. 

We patrolled the Orc fort and met with heavy resistance.  We were overrun and knocked down but managed to crawl away.  We returned, killed some more orcs and left.

Sentry Duty: Cove Gates

Cove is a quiet place in the morinings, too quiet for my liking. so i decided to set up a sentry with Corporal Arkay...

We set up the sentry quickly, and stayed by Cove Gates for about 15 minutes.

Not much happened, so we had alot to talk about, mostly about why Scouts were better than everyone else *cackles*

At first we came across an elf on a mount, he said nothing but thought it would be amusing to steal our door, which i had crafted myself...after a while he decided to leave, obviously annoyed with our yelling.

Lastly a nice man who believed his name to be Kush came through, a well rounded fellow but was not wearing any trousers, which annoyed Corporals Arkay, but mearly amused me.


And that was it, we packed up and went to have a nice mug of Ale to start the morning.

After some duel training at the barracks we were led to the Graveyad by Erik Arkay Grenaider Corporal where we faced the challenge of killing some liches and other nasty critters, They were no match for our men, they quickly dissapeared.
We all stood wanting to take on more tougher challenges then I was given the chance to take command and to lead the men on a task to the Ork Fort to bring back a Brutes Head. ;D
We arrived... Immediately we were pounced on by a number of nasty orks, We stuck together and killed them all.
Finally we came across a brute he was no match for us, we all stuck together and healed well. Our task complete but we decided to continue and kill five more brutes and his followers, We raised 7800 coins for the Baron.   :D
Finally to finish off a good nights work a final free for all battle at the top of the barracks was held.

The barracks were deserted but I bumped into Corporal Arkay *looks at his bronze arms admiringly* and invited him to join me on patrol.

First we checked out the graveyard.

Cove town was our last patrol. The docks and town were quiet enough but we encountered a dirty ettin stealin' Covian crops as we made our way to the guard tower.

It was a quiet mornin' in Cove when I came across Guardsman Recruit Cael as I was snoopin' about fer a plot o' land to build on. So i decided to keep 'im on his toes with a little patrol to the Altmere outpost.

We came a cross a few nasties on our way to the outpost and despatched them with little fuss.

Junior Judas and Recruit Olchafa came to our aid after hearing our calls for help but we were still overwhelmed. So much fer a quiet mornin'.

Fortunately  I was able, with the help of a couple of passing adventurers (probably 'em buggers that 'ad left the gates open in the first place) to slay two liches but they equipment my fellows and I lost was not to be found on there vile corpses!

By the Avatar I think the area is in great need of a clensing!

Took a patrol around the shire and finished at Altmere. Nothing to report in Altmere but we stuck around for 15 minutes just to make sure. The outpost still smells and I'm pritty sure rats are crawlin' under the floor.

Patrol north to Altmere, then on to the northern swamps. We encountered many brigands - a problem I suggest is dealt with and quickly. Should they make there way further south, peasants will be in danger.


Whilst trudging through the bog, we encountered a huge, ferocious beast; however, we soon prevailed. Junior Grenadier Deibeau is injured and had to allow Corporal Arkay to take over, though I am sure it is not serious.

Aye, they are still there watching and waiting, but I am happy to report ther is a lot fewer of them. We cleaned a good part of the fort, with only minor injuries. A big brute were killed and its followers shattered.

It started when we had a weird visitor that only spoke yellah. Then Erik told me and Akira to go on patrol. Judas met up and took control of the situation and Delcarakdur came as well.(ooc)didnt reinstall my pic taker(ooc)Judas slayed the Orc brute to show it that Covians will never fall to them. After slaying a bunch of Orc mages, Bombers, Scouts, and just plain ol' Orcs. Akira and Delcaradur had to flee. I guess they couldn't take the hits nomore. And Me and Judas finished up a bit and then Judas lead me home.

The main purpose was to gather feathers from the harpies in the dungeon. Healing practise and battle practise became the bonus. The entrance inside the dungeon was covered with pillars of fire which bursted up from the ground, that didn't stop us from getting to the nearby giant birds which held the feathers we needed. After some time in the dungeon killing and collecter feathers we headed back home.

Patrol to the orc fort - Around daytime 16 GMT 19/11/2005

Lately alot of sound had been coming from behind the Cove mountain, alot of grunting orc sounds. Raiden decided that we needed to do something about this disturbance. Quickly he gathered the available men and we headed out for the Orc fort. When we got there just a small orc or two appeared, nothing much, everything looked peacefully. We faught our way into the middle of the fort, where were all the orcs? Nay idea, so we went further down the fort. Suddenly atleast ten or twenty orcs jumped us! Since we weren't that many we couldn't hold our grounds very long but enough time to smash down atleast two brutes and countless of smaller orcs.

When the third brute attacked, we were surrounded and trapped by all the corpses so we had no way to go. All three of us got knocked but not too soon after that we were back on our feet outside Cove city gates, without our boots, ready to head back into the fort to pay some revenge. And so we did. After retrieved our backpacks from the orcs we quickly took down several of the meatbags before noticing an army of orcs was heading towards us, it was time to head home. Chased almost all the way to cove gates by archer orcs, but we made it out alive and with our purses filled with previously stolen Covian civilian gold that we had taken from the orcs. O what a day...

Added: Just noticed that my feathers that I got from a previous patrol are gone, I suspect an orc stole and ate them hmpf

Felt the need that the barracks was under a threat so Vince ordered us to build a sentry, and so we did. The time passed quickly as we built the sentry, from the start it was only me and Vince but then Owen showed up and later Talpa. Not a single animal or foe to be sighted within the time we stood guard. But we did atract more guardsmen, they seemed to flock around the crates by some strange reason, mayhaps because I had hidden me wine bottles in one of em crates...

I was under the impression one of my comrades was ordered to file a report on this patrol, which they either neglected to do or the report was misplaced.  The patrol took place after Commander Eason's wilderness training session on the 16th, and was led by Watchman Delcarakdur (I believe he is Junior rank now though?).

The purpose of the patrol was to reduce the numbers of the orcish horde and, in the process, reduce their threat to the town of Cove.  Many orcs were slain and we were able to practice healing eachother's wounds and the formation training Commander Eason had just shown us.

Took a trip towards the crossroads of Vesper, back towards the barracks going the coastalway. Led a few undead scouts back into their graves and a few trolls and ogres. Nothing else worth mentioning, everything seemed calm.

We went to the orc fort near Cove and decided to chop a few legs and arms off the orcs. Chaffers led us through the fort towards the orc docks where we slayed a brute. After that some of us got knocked by overwhelming orc armies, but we soon got back to our feet. Sadly two of the light company had to leave for a training but Rupert, Chaffers and Kiran stayed behind and took down a few more orcs in revenge. Oh and we met a strange red man on the way to the orcs...really strange...

We set out to show the shire for the new recruit Thrym. First we went into the Covian Shire and the forest where we gently and quietly approached the graveyard. Strangely the undeads saw us and sent a few of their minions to make short work of us, but without any problems we dealt with the undead. Then we went on towards the border to Vesper, up to the road, followed to the road up to the Altmere outpost where Rupert showed Thrym how to secure a building. Then we returned to the barracks. Everything calm.

1845 Wednesday, 7th December 2005: Patrol of the shire.

We began our patrol by travelling to the Covian gate.  Once there I ordered the two recruits inside to establish the town was peaceful.  They returned within minutes to inform me all was well, so I decided we should continue out patrol of the shire by making a trip to the cemetery.  The restless dead are always crowding that cemetery, so i thought it prudent to give them some more breathing space...

As we travelled there I caught Recruit Constantius drinking from a bottle of wine.  He assured me he was not drunk and would not be a liability.  He lied.  All of us fell to the first lich we encountered, but a friendly healer tended our wounds and we returned to the cemetery (albeit avoiding the lich) and put to rest some of the less dangerous denizens of the graveyard.

We travelled to the Orc Fort, On the way there we met an ogre, which was no opponent for the two of us.
We defeated several Orcs at the Orc Gate, And an Orc Lord Managed to knock me down. Fortunately Delcaraktur, The Junior Guardsman Ended the Orcs miserable life, and helped me up. Deep inside the Orc Cave when we had defeated most of the threats, we noticed the Ground Shaking. An Orc Brute was on the way to us. We Fought bravely, but still both of us got knocked down.  Soon we got up again, and leaded the Brute Out of the Fort where our chances were alot greater, We defeated the Orc Brute, And some of his companions.

Took Nicholi to the orc fort and we slew many.  The orcs did not have a chance we killed two of their brutes, and stole ones head.  After slaying the brutes the rest was easy, we took on almost the whole fort by ourselves.

After we slaughtered the deadites in the forest we decided to storm the orc fort.  So me and Vince ran in only to have all the orcs in the fort to attack us.

1910 Friday, 10th December 2005: Patrol of the shire.

I woke from the barracks and my first task of the day was questioning an elf about why he murdered a civilian that was chained and screaming for help nearby.  He claimed that she was a spy, and in a true condescending elven way he tried informing me that us humans would not understand.

A few of us were left outside the barracks as the elf departed, so we decided to make a patrol of the Shire.  The first stop was the town of Cove.  Kal and the recruit were sent to make sure the northern section of the town was clear, whilst Hoagie and I investigated the southern side.  All was quiet except for some warriors with swords drawn, who were warned to lower their weapons or put them to good use and join the militia.

The group met up once more and forced march to the graveyard to lay some undead creatures to rest.  We battled our way directly to the main crypt and back, before returning once more to the barracks.

11th December 20:30 PM Patrol to Altmere and round'about

T'was after a lovely promotion parade we decided ter kill some time before the training session would begin. With proud we marc'ed up against the Altmere outpost, took down any evil sighted monster on the road. Upon arriving at the outpost we spotted something strange, a human corpse was laying in the gutter, staring up at us with his cold stare. Judas shrugged it off as a bandit corpse but I wasn't so sure...and I was to be proved right eventually.

We secured the outpost, checked every corner, bed and roof for anything suspicious or wrong, when we found nothing, we decided to continue towards the mountains. We walked and took down a few giants marcing the forest before arriving at the mountainfoot. We followed the mountain for some time and then broke off it into the forest and towards the northern coastline.

After a few more minutes we stumbled around and back into "the forest" as Judas called it, nay knowing what was up ahead. We got lost. We lost a recruit on the way and we nay found him till we came back to the barracks. But anyway! We found our way back to the road and started to walk south back towards our camp. Judas suddenly felt for running and ran ahead of the rest. Thats when it happened, out of nowhere came an undead warrior and tried to strike me from behind, with a small evasion though, I managed to evade his blow, load an arrow and pierce his legs so he couldn't run. Guess what happened next... *grins*

After we beaten the undead Judas decided to come help us... Arrr...when he found out he was too late he commanded a forced march back to the barracks. Good work everyone! We even managed to make a few coins and get see some unusual happenings...

12th December 17:00 Patrol to the Town of Cove

We started near the barracks, and headed into the town of Cove. I first checked the southern part of town and then headed for the armorer´s, where i met Junior Guardsman Delcarakdur, He instructed me to go and take a look at the Lighthouse. Everything was clear, and we went to the Covian Gate together.

After The Christmas Training, I was attacked by an Orc In the middle of the forest.
I crawl´d back to the Barracks and saw Fellow guardsmen. They had fortunately kill´d the Orc, and had decided to hit The Orc Fort to teach those pansies.

While this may nay count as a report, I suppose its really important we keep track of what happens in the shire so I'll file it as a report of a patrol, after a training session four Kaldorians was found outside our barracks. Eventually we managed to push them back, but it was hard with all the ale they were throwing on us...or... me. Arr!! But after two or three of them had fallen we got one left! And guess how we managed to drive the ant off the shire?! Arrrr! Doing it the Grenadier way of course! Removing his leggings, and letting Rupert thank them for the ale they brought...

While waiting at the barracks to hold my training for the recruits, Cadet Valentine, Junior Anari, and Senior Gry came up. I told them I was awaiting the arrival of the recruit so i could train them in the art of Cross healing whilst in FORMATION.

Well the hour came by and no recruit except Recruit: Seamus so I told them that we will just do a patrol instead. I them foprmed a tactical circle with them and we headed out to the Orc Fort. When we got there it was to be expected, We were greated in the manner of any orc would great any unwanted visitor. We engaged them and was plowing through them like a boat in water.

We went forward showing these Orcs that Cove belonged to the Coveians and not them. These Orcs was so scared that it seemed that they forgot how to wielt the Cruel weapons they possessed for hitting them was very easy and the hiot from them was very week. The Brute that came up on use was proof of that, He fell like a rock falling off a Cliff.

We went to the docks and seen that it was secured and cleaned out then headed back into the fort it's self to find that they had gathered a few in numbers to meet us again. We them formed and took them out like the butcher takes out the entrails before he butchers his meat.

We patrolled the Town, all was quiet and there was nothing to report.  Recruit Aeron claimed a Yewish invasion army was in the town and he killed them all including Klion D'Gar and thus was now ruler of Yew.  Since we were still at war with Yew this meant that Aeron was in fact an enemy.  Either that or he was lying since the other Recruit could not remember any Yewians.  Either way, Recruit Aeron deserved a kicking which was delivered during his failed attempt to disarm one of us.

After Junior Anari finnished Questioning the Prissoner Sergeant Arkay ordered Anari to set up a patroll and go arond making sure that everything was in order.

We gathered out side of the Barracks whilst Junior set out a few pigeons, to see about getten us more men. We waited for a few minutes then set out. We first went towards the Cove Grave Yard, and once there it was no time before we were greated with the foul beasts that inhabbit the enclosed area. We ran in and went streight to swinging out weapons and knocking anything that crosed out paths.

After a while of clearing the grave yard we then exited the enclose area and headed down towards the Ruins. about half way there we ran into an Oger that was not to happy with out ways of informing him that he wasn't welcome in the Shire, So he just fell dead with FEAR. After seeing that the Shire was now safe we headed to Cove to make sure it was peaceful as it should be, we went through the gates I took it on myself to volentrear to check the North Look out Tower.

After making sure everything was safe in the Tower I then headed back to meet up with the others. I reported my findings to Junior Anari and then waited on the other to return. Once everyone had reported back to Junior Anari we were then Ordered to Force March back to the Barracks, Where once everyone had done so, we were thanked for a good patroll and then Dissmised.

Due to the recent bandit activity in and around Cove, watchman Ben Radau decided to enlist my help in a series of three patrols.

The first patrol took us to the town of Cove itself. Outside the gates we discovered a human corpse left naked and with no possessions or even clothes remaining. This was a clear a sign as any to the amount of bandits in the area. Removing the corpse we entered Cove to make sure all was well inside the gates.

On finding the all clear we headed back out into the wilderness towards the border with Vesper, on the second of the three patrols, looking for the culprits of the brutal attack on the citizenship. Scanning the road and surrounding brushland we couldn't find any signs of the bandits but we did come upon an Ogre brute causing trouble; the crack of spellfire and the singing of bowstring soon ended that.

Deciding to look further we headed towards Altmere on the final patrol of the day. More ogres were encountered and quickly slain but still no sign of the bandits. Then suddenly we came across them, fighting over the loot of their most recent victim. On seeing us they charged, clearly giving no regard to our guard status, a big mistake for them. Three burly men came forward only to die in a heap as a hail of arrows and spells came down upon them. A fourth thug, an ugly looking girl, came forward with a terrible screech, cutting Ben with her blade and interupting his spell. She raised her crude shortsword again to finish him but instead fell back, an arrow in her throat.

Having found and killed the bandits we headed back to the barracks, tired from a long day of patrols.

Whilst walking around the Coveian shire I headed to the Barracks ta see ef em Guardsman ever showed up. When I got there I met up with Junior Anari and asked ef he had any orders fer me, He then told me that he was forming a patroll and that he just releast some note carriing Pigeons.
As we waited they started showing up so we were ordered to form a line. Once we lined up he then explained the purpose of the patrollthen we headed out.

We made our way to the Local grave yard where we quickly made ready our weapons, We went in and the slaughter begain those who were living humans now forced to walk as the living dead were once again layed to rest. One by one we layed them down till we ruled the grave yard. Being quick with his orders, Junior Anari called for a slow advance To the entrance, But instead he had Watchman Ben open one of them Blue whytchy things and got us back to the Barracks where we were soon dissmissed.

this report is a bit late, but two nights ago eamus, another recruit (can't remember) and myself departed on a trip to the orc fort to gather some loot for the coffers. Seamus gave us the task of defeating four of their large commanders. At first things went smoothly, and we took down three no problem and gathered a good amount of gold. Than, we were ambushed by a commander and his unit of bombers and mages, and one of the recruits was knocked down. Seamus and myself ran out of the fort and together managed to bring the big one down and defeat his unit. We lost the recruit, and headed back to the barracks, where we counted around ten thousand gold crowns to be donated to the coffers.

After we reached the crossroads I decided we'll patrol two more areas.  The first was the swamp.  When we got in I found out that one of the recruits nay had bandages.  So I ordered awl three of us to skirmish a bog thing.  We eventually felled the huge beast and left the swamp after slaying smaller spawn.

After we got out of the swamp we headed towards the yew bridge on patrol towards enemy lines.  As we headed towards we slew brigands and saved a lucky hostage.  We reached let the man go somewhere safe then ran to the bridge.  After we saw no resistance at the bridge we headed back to Cove which was a very very long run.

Bear Hunting Patrol In The Covian Shire

Went towards the fort with this jolly crew of guards. Trained healing and waging battle alongside formations. We met some resistance but less than usual in this little camp, and I had time to test my fine new flying ducks! And ooow, they flew and exploded FINE! Arrr. We took down two or three large orcs while we moved within the fort. Another thing we wanted to do was ter burn down te docks, but I had forgotten me crawling ducks in the Grenadier place...

A few times we lacked in healing, the raw strenght in battle power on the other hand was grand, orcs fell left and right. We did a good deed for once...naw lets hope they nay want revenge...cause me is running out of arrows!

After the patrol to the orc fort we decided to show the worth of three juniors. HAR! And so we did! The graveyard in Cove shire was pulsating with undead scents, we had ter strike a few dawn and push them back into their graves. We did this extremely smooth and we barely needed any healing. The undead was pushed back grand! Once again grand work!

So after all this killing, our feet was feeling somewhat tired. So what else but a good run could soften them up a bit?! An even better run of course! Off to the Altmere, secure it and take out any evildoers along the road. Went smoothly and we took down a few strugglers. After Altmere we decided ter head to the northen outpost, striking down every bandit we could see on the way. I think Darath had ter much fun though, he started ter bash the captured noblemen and women... Err... I can think of better use of them! Atleast the women...oh well grand patrol!

Patrol to the Orc Fort

I lead my first patrol to the orc fort to try and get the new recruits into cross healing and basic tactics. To start it went bad with the recruits running off in every direction and not healing with most of the group getting knocked straight away. After a stern telling off from myself and Kal they started to stand still and we made a severe dent in the orc ranks.

After getting back to the barracks I told the recruits to learn a lesson and value the health of their comrades over their own and to never run, even when badly hurt. A good amount of gold was then added to the coffers.

We ventured out to ensure that the orcs were not violating their boundries and hassling the people of Cove. However the number of the foul beasts seemed to be increasing steadily, so we decided to deal them a swift and crippling blow to the main bulk of their forces. We slew as many minions as we could, but targetted their main fighting force and took down four of their Brutes.

A successful patrol, the subduing of Orcish hoardes, and plenty o' coins for the Miltia coffers.

We where slowly moving to the graveyard, a little to slow in my own opinion. Then again that Thomas looked rather... hurt. Anyhow, I must admit the fairly good leadership from Officer cadet Kal Shadowhand keeping us in a good formation. It did look like that Geit thing seemed to like the closeness of other men... I need to do something about that I think.

We slayed allot of bones and a few zombie looking, things. And a lich or two.

Graveyard Patrol Report, 22th January 1 GMT

The grave stones seemed to need cleaning, that was Officer Cadet Valentine's opinion at least. We set off for the graveyard in a slow march. Upon arrival we where hit by skeletons, the watchman nearly soiled himself of fear... clearly not fit for the job. Me on the other hand showed them who was in charge, i put one skeleton after the other down the ground again.

After clearing the the grave yard officer cadet Valentine put a barrel of water on the ground where we, with our newly obtained rags, where supposed to dip them. I still can't see how I'm fit for this job, this surely fits some more low life recruit, not a splendid piece of work like myself.

We dipped our rags and start... cleaning and so forth. The grave stones where dusty as expected. Our work was interrupted a couple of times by sudden appearances of the lich. First time I saw one actually, buuut I wasn't frightened at all, I quickly made sure his face looked like it just had been over run by three horse waggons with 15 horses dragging it... either way I made quick work with them.

The newly soiled watchman found a long dead friend among the graves, I was nearly going to protest when I thought in my fear of my mind, that he was going to dig the body up and play with it. How lucky for me that officer cadet Valentine was there to put fear in him.

Rupert lead a patrol up te Altmere, and then we circled back through th' surround forests. We used a secret grenadier method o' keepin' ourselves safe, reffered to by rupert as 'The flying ducks'. No serious hostiles encountered, a relativly peaceful patrol.

I headed from the barracks, ter Altmere through the forests, Not much to report, some brigands messing aroun' in the forest, soem headless beasties a birdy woman an' oi found an ogre INSIDE th' Altmere outpost, i killed 'et an' lay it on th' table ter rest, on th' way back oi was attacked by.. the sea o' all thing! Bwah! i destroyed the watery creature and stamped in th' puddle it left.

Patrol One - The Graveyard

Delc took me ter the Covian Graveyard, oi had not been here before, i was shocked at th' amount o' crazy things living there, they were crazy 'cause they attack Covian soldiers without thinkin' o' the consequences! They were dealt with an' we left the Graveyard in a more peaceful state.


Patrol Two - The Covetous Mountain

Delc then told me ter test my navigational skills by finding the Covetous mountains. I did this wi' ease, although i ran inter some Ogres on th' way.. When in the mountains we battled Birdies, Grass an' Eyes, It were pretty fun in there, bu' we went outside an' found a ghostie, who was sad, so we left.


Patrol Three - The Orc Fort

Delc finally took me to the Fort o' the Orcs, this was a place i knew all too well, full o scummy scummy creatures an' giant bastards in armour, we incidently took two o' these fiends down, one each oi like ter think, an' Delc took the heads as proof.. I just sketched them... Seemed more sane.

Following the Promotions Parade and some sort of possession? Regular Highlander Kurt assembled Watchman Nicholi and myself to embark upon a patrol to the local Orc Fort.
Regular Kurt ordered a forced march to the Glenmore Highlands, where we readied ourselves for the forthcoming onslaught!
On breaching the defensive pickets of the Fort, we were immediately set upon by hard Orcish veterans. There were those that summoned to them mystic forces, and others that gingerly threw explosives at us! However, none could prove as devastingly destructive as the enormous Orc Brute!!
The ground quaked at the arrival of the giant creature, and I must admit.. struck a certain fear upon me.
Regular Kurt's voice cut clean through the air with orders. "SKIRMISH IT!" Heh. Absolutely damn right. No way we were going to fight that thing toe to toe. I ran to a safe distance, and readied my bow. As I reached to my quiver to arm a bolt, I realised I was out of arrows. Not the BEST news when facing a vast creature of doom and peril!

With nay much else to do, I drew my shoddy katana and charged the beast head on. I woke up a little later, with Regular Kurt announcing his grand defeat of the Brute, and the completion of our patrol.

Patrol of Covian Graveyard - 21.50pm GMT, Sunday 29/01/06
Slaying the evil forces of the Undead!

Night drew in as we marched to the Covian Graveyard.
T'was my first time entering the domain of Evil, and I must admit.. having just faced a few horrors of the Orc Fort, I was concerned over what I might find in the Graveyard.
Little did I know that my previous experiences would be thoroughly surpassed by the residents of the Graveyard; RESIDENTS EVIL.
I clutched my katana uselessly. We had not had time to resuppliy, and as I was having a trouble finding arrow stalls in Cove, I had to make do with a blunt weapon that felt alien in my hands.
We entered the Graveyard, Regular Kurt courageously leading the way. It seemed the Highlander had great experience in dealing with both Orcs and Undead; his presence was an inspiration to Watchman Nicholi and myself.
We carefully followed him in.
Inside the Graveyard, groans and voices came from all around. Shades of air loomed towards us, casting ancient wizardy upon our party. We charged.
The air vanished, the rotten zombies fell.. but one stood more prominent than all else. It's evil laughter feeled our hearts with terror, and even the tough Highlander Kurt.. could not help his skin shiver. T'was a Lich.
Casting with mighty speed and sharpness, it cursed Regular Kurt.. ridding the Highlander of his protective armour, and casted flames that burnt his vulnerable skin. Regular Kurt fell.
Watchman Nicholi gripped his axe, and charged the Lich! I did what I could to aid, but my humble combat skills were no match for such a creature. Nevertheless, Watchman Nicholi, fuelled by the sight of his fallen comrade, hacked and lunged at the Lich; eventually turning its manic laughter into cries of pain.. until finally, the beast was felled.
Upon Regular Kurt's revival, we stood guard around the Graveyard, and vanquished any foe that rose.
We left sometime later, our hearts still beating quickly from the terror.. yet our minds satisfied with a job well done.

Then we headed into Cove town itself and conducted a search for anytihng tha' was out o' place or unusual, nothin' was.. even no rats were found.. thems sailors were happy as crazy larry in their boats as well.

I had just woken up in me house, taken a quick stroll in the forest to find a huge winged creature outside our buildings in Cove. And not a single guard around to remove it?! I had to do it myself, quickly I grabbed me arrows and bow, went up and warned the closest guardsmen which happened to be Leelo and Thomas, which came rushing down to help. The dragon was fierce but nothing hard to manage with a ranged weapon. Thomas fell and Leelo fell but I remained unstopped. Carefully I let off a few flying ducks just to see the potions blow open large holes in its wings, then an arrow straight through its head to put it to its last sleep. Grand work all of ye who helped. Cove is safe again!

We took a patrol down to the graveyard, just to bash out a few deadies. Turns out that fate was on our side; the undead were amassing a force, possibly to attack Cove! Two liches and a horde of their minions ambushed us at the gates. We thought we were done for, yet some fancy tactical manouvers enabled us to gain the upper hand, slaying the commanding liches and finishing off their minions afterward.

On entering the graveyard itself we found yet another Lich, and his undead companions pushing their way out of the graves. Filled with fury and confidence from out victory moments before, we brought the might of Cove and the Army crashing down upon them.

There shall be no undead attack forces any time soon, it shall take them a long while to regroup after this strike!

Dylan Patrols Cove Alone.

Nay one was around so i took it upon meself ter keep Cove safe. I went ter the town and checked the civvies were ok. I found a right mess in the streets which i did clear up an' then check th' Docks an' the watchtower, although by the farms i did find an Ogre an' a Troll! Oi think they were plannin' ter attack so pi'm glad i did sto them!

I were sitting quietly in Cove, and I could nay find anyone willing to come a-patrollin' with me. But I decided to have a bash anyway! Nay should the nasty beasties get a chance ter invade just 'cause there's only one o' me!

I noticed some nasty ogres lurking around, close to the shire. I chased them down and, after giving me a bit of a run, I felled the two ugly beasts.

All seemed quiet in the graveyard, a few minor deadies to dispatch.

And as for the orc fort, I pushed a handful of the smelly brutes back into their homes and felled their brethren.

An interesting patrol, with just over 2000 coins for the coffers!

I lead me first patrol today! I was mighty surprised when Vince suggested I lead; it were only the two of us and I assumed he'd take command. It were a bit odd ordering him about... But I soon got into it and demanded a brief kit inspection!

I flipped a coin and we ventured to the Graveyard. Fate had guided us there, for once again those nasty deadies were increasing their numbers! A lich ambushed us at the gates with a group of his minions, and Vince took a blow that I thought he was doomed! Yet it were only a flesh wound, and we went on to take out not one but two of them darned liches!

I did head to the Orc fort because i could hear alot o' gruntin' an' i was roit ter go, they 'ad just recieved a new shipment o' suplies.. I took down th' defences, an'some defneces it was! We all met up at the Barracks as Vince had advised me we was going on a recruitment patrol we first head for the blue gate and travelled to the city of haven i spoke to a few gentle men an met a lad called Eoh who seem very intresed and i gave him a flier the town was very quite so we decied to head for britain on the way to the gate we was attacked by some lizard men who we fiesly fought off we went throught the gate and quick marched al the way while walking aroung we came acrossed Mikael who we had a small talk and then he went about his buissness

we took the long jorney back to the gate and returned to the barracks where we sup on a bottle ale and then fell to sleep

We did check tha' opposing army spies were'nt about by scanning the shire fer tracks an' signs of activity, was all clear an' we returned ter the halls fer some well earned rest before Kas' Sentry.

Well there we was minding our own business when mr Kurt of em highlanders let out a startaling yell, so up came running em as was nay asleep and there was a line of me, edmund rufus and kas valentine. well mr kurt set us off to the highlands that will be reported on by kas methinks but whilst there he sent me and edmund into the orc fort for a quick look-see.  in we bravley ventured and though we struggled with the first brut that set upon us and had to pull back a little for aid.  the second brut to set upon us me and edmund was ready and with some good teamwork and a lot of legwork we vanquished the foe and set back to report to Mr kurt.  anyhow we got a few thousang gold pices which was distributed to the troops and was dismissed after finishing up and leaving the highlands tidy.

After the sentry of Altmere (organised yesterday evening by Cor'Ari Ta) had been constructed and secured from local wildlife the Scout ordered me to take the two Juniors and head up the road to the north. I acknowledged his order and the three of us set off to make sure everything was safe and sound.

No sooner had we begun our journey than young Regdar had to stop to tie his bootlaces. Unfortunately for Edmund and I this was not Regdar's particular field of expertise, in fact, he was completely useless at it. Thus, the first ten minutes of the patrol were spent watching the Junior Guardsman engage in a fierce battle of have and have knots.

Eventually he managed to come to some arrangement with his laces and we got the patrol back on track, or dirt road in this case. The northern road proved to be a relatively pleasant stroll, interupted only briefly by some bandits and the odd harpy. Thankfully the resident Junior Guardsman were eager for battle so I got down to the gruelling task of enjoying the scenery.

After a while we came upon a newly erected private dwelling, the wood and stone still glimmering from it's recent construction. My apprentice decided the best way to welcome the owners to the neighbourhood would be by pelting stones at their windows.

Regdar was very pleased by the sound of breaking glass until he recognised the frames and realised who owned the house....

Nevertheless we continued our patrol with Regdar dawdling at the back wondering how to afford some new panes. The remaining walk to Compassion crossroads was uneventful but on the trip back to the sentry we met a woman of unbelievable beauty. Alas, she couldn't talk with us for long and an opportunity for me to turn on the charm did not arise.

I ordered the men into a forced march and we arrived back at Altmere sentry just in time to dismantle it and receive playful abuse from Sendrich.

i had been fighting lizard men all day in the hope to get my accuracy of my bow when  returned to the barracks to get som suplis and regular Kurt asked me to go on patrol with him to the orc fort . so off we went and as we got to the fort i decide to go in and got to far ahead of my self and was knocked over by the some brutes i wa draged out by kurt and we realised we were heavly out numbered so we killed as many as we can and retrreat to the barracks

As i was sitting at the Scouts Tower, Cori came in all beaten up and told me that he just faught with a Brute at the Coveian Town gates. I then got up and gathered some men to go teach them a lesson on who owns and runs the town of Cove. As we go there we were greated in the orcian manner, (Rude Buggers). We then entered the Fort and quickly made our way thjrough the orcs teaching them all that we are the best that there ever was. One by one and two by two we felled them quickly. We soon came up on pone of the brutes and felled him the another an a nother. We made our way to the docks to secure it and it was clear. We then turned and I ordered a slow march out so that we could fell a few more as we were on our way back out. We made it to the exet when we met another Brute, so we engadged it and left it laying in its own blood for all the orcs could see that Cove is not the place for then to be. As we made it back to the Barracks we took a coin count and it was a great some, (Who'ed know the orcs could carry so many coins Eh!?)

Whilst on sentry duty at Altmere, under the command of Regular Highlander Kurt myself and Officer Cadet Vince Valentine were dispatched to conduct a patrol to the South. Vince suggested I lead the patrol which I gladly did. No wandering brigands or vermin were encountered but we found ourselves drawn to investigate a particular property on the outskirts of Cove. As you can see from my sketch it is a veritable charnel house with the remains of fallen combatants littering the arena floor.

I had been sailing on a ship all day and i returned to the barracks to get some new kit as a small Stone harpy had stolen some of it when he knocked me over as i walked in the barracks i came across my mentor Vince and he asked me to go on a patrol of the shire with him we left the barracks and headed out into the Shire looking across every corner

After a great hunt i returned to the Barracks and met up with a few of the other Guardsmen and we decided we was going to go on patrol to the Orc Fort as Cor 'Ari Ta had had a bad experiance with a Orc brute the day before i was asked to lead the patrol and off went . when we reached the fort a orc brute came straight for us with many guards as soon as we killed that one we was attacked by another and many more smaller orc my team held well and the strength of Dalamar amazed me

I had been making potions for mos of the moring and i attended the barracks to see if there was a patrol i could attend when i arrived at the barracks i saw kas Valentine on the steps who advise me he was looking to go to Cove town to make sure all was secure so off we went . we ehterd the town and all was calm we spotted some rats so i quickly killed them we then attended the docks where we found more rats and i shot one arrow each entering the mouth and coming out of there tail we looked out and could see no Pirates and the sea was a calm and quiet

We then scouted around the rest of the town and we found even more rats we check the fields and then to the loghthouse where  entered inside and found nothing the town was secure and we returned to the barracks with a pleaseful look on our faces that our beloved town was safe

I met up wit Regular Kurt at the Barracks and I desided that it was toim to get my revenge on the orcs for knocking me down at the Cove Gates.
We formed our tactical and set out got the orc fort. Once we arrive near the fort we were then greated in the orcish manner as useual, them rude buggers, we stood our ground not giving an inch to them and forcing them to go the other way.

We then made our wat into the fort where we were met by one of the Large blokes and soon it submitted to defeat after we knocked it to the ground.

After makeing out point that we are the strongest in Cove we then headed back to the barracks. Once back at the Barracks we counted the collected coins and seen that we had collected over 11.000 coins, I then gave Regular Kurt asome of 2,000 coins and I then took me 2,000 coins and the rest was added to the Coffer. I then dissmissed Regular Kurt and we went our seperate ways.

There didn't seem to be anyone around when I came across Dalamar at the barracks. As i'm new to the Army i asked if he would lead me on a patrol.

He agreed and we headed northwards to the Altmere outpost.


We quickly scouted the surrounding area but there was no activity. Once we were sure the area was secure we headed back to barracks.

Everyone else was asleep but i was prowling in the shadows of Cove.

I came across a troll and a deadite lurking with intent outside our Covian Stronghold.

In the knowledge that many brave Covian soldiers were asleep inside this menace has to be dealt with.

I slipped gracefully from the shadows and my weapon gleemed in the moonlight and Covians can sleep safe once more.

I then entered the city walls and all was safe in the town so i slipped quietly back into the shadows.

Patrol of the Village of Cove: 13:30, Sunday, 19th March.

With the recent murder in the lighthouse, Miss  Feather took myself and Olchaffa, to patrol the surrounding area and the docks in order to make sure that no "funny" business was happening around the town. Whilst miss Feather was inspecting the local buildings and the wall's permiter, I was ordered to look around the docks. I immediately saw something was wrong when a large ammount of men and women were loading crates onto a boat, without any sign of being authorized to do so. As I inquired to their business, I was set upon by one of the women. Though she was swiftly dispatched, her sacrifice had bought enough time for the ship to escape.

Firstly, we headed deep into the heart of the Covian town, since last time i patroled here Jonas said he saw some shifty buisiness at th' Docks, we searched the docks was clear, searched th' watchtower, was clea, searched the houses was clear. Seems that the frequent patroling is keeping the crime rate down, YAR!


After the town was cleared it was time to check somewhere where danger is ALWAYS found.. the Orc Fort, of course the Orcs were not expecting us so their defenses were low, so we smashed through swiftly making it all the way to the docks and back agian... stupid creatures..


Again somewhere thats full of danger, the damn graveyard.. why those deadies can't just stay dead i dont know! Grr! Well we showed them how to be dead, showed them good.. nay knew what hit them, even the nast lich fellow who was wandering round.. was no match fer our blades.. and bow..


Finally, Since the damn Yewians and Britanians have illegidly taken over Vesper i thought we should check the Altmere outpost, check that it still stands tall and strong under Covian command, it did indeed. It was all clear, nay even any brigands, seems we are doing our job well!

we left the barracks on a long walk up the north road we came acrossed many Brigands which we dealed with with great ease as we approcached altmere we spotted two trolls attack the building we fought with these beasts and the returnedback to the barracks

Graveyard Patrol

Junior Guardsman Sinist thought he would lead new recruits Perun and Kyte on a short patrol of the graveyard so that no deadites could escape and terrorise Covians.

We encountered some resistance just outside the graveyard and Officer Cadet Shadowhand leapt from the shadows to lend a hand.

Once inside we formed up on Junior Sinist's orders and beat off several attacks from the graveyards inhabitants. When the area was secured we returned to the barracks to be dismissed and put our loot in the coffers.

A patrol was conducted to ensure the drow we saw earlier had moved away from cove and not lingered around in the city. No sight of any drow or hostile creatures.

We made our way slowly through the forest to the graveyard. We formed up on the orders of Junior Guardsman Sinist and took the full force of the undead onslaught.

After beating off the attack we entered the graveyard and cleared the area.

We collected two thousand gold coins in loot for the coffers.

We decided that it would beh a good idea ter take a patrol through the town o' Cove.  When we arrived at the gate everything seemed to beh ok.  When weh ventured in side weh took a trip to the light house and Saladin had meh check insoid.  After the lighthouse weh checked the bank.  Then weh did a quick run through the rest o' the city killing pesterin' rats.  Everything seemed to beh ok, so we headed back to the barracks for dismisal.

Well there I was just wandering into the barracks after the long trek home from visiting me aunt in moonglow when Junior Vlad looked up from the desk and said.

"ye fit for a patrole?"

Well of course i says yes so in short order after tidying up me gear we set off to em graveyard where the dead was getting restless again.

We soon learned why, a lich had set up there!

Upon discovering this we quickly dispatched the lich and his minions then set about sending the rest of the dead back to there graves

Eventually after a log spell we had set em all to rest so we returned to the barracks and set down the crowns we had gathered, and what a pile it were!!

Well we counted up and there were some 7762 coins there so we each took a thousand for our expenses and the rest we put into the militia coffers.

Cove Town Patrol: Nothing ter report really, the docks, farms, watchtower and homes we're patroled. seems Cove is very safe. We did discover the town cryer and a peasent in a bed together, but that is their buissiness. We we're also joined by a man in green colours, i did not catch his name but he saiud he lived in Cove and did not trouble us.

Patrol to Altmere!

First, when we were lined up outside the barracks i gave the new recruits and the watchman a lesson in how ter salute th' fore... as you can see from meh sketch the results were perfection.. A tidy well disciplined army, is a strong army.


After this we headed to Altmere to check for Brigand activity.. All seemed clear.. except for a troll, Kado sighted the troll and called fer help, whilsy we were slaying the beast four Brigands appeared out of the trees and attacked us from behind! Luckily we were ready and survived the assasination attempt.. It seems the brigands are getting cleverer than they were before...

Sinn started the patrol with the idea just to go to vesper, patrol it and return.
Regular Guardsmen Delcaradur was bhrud about to walk to Vesper, to esans aid a mad scientist came. Esan would open a blue witch portal to 'vesper' esan said.. for a price.. The first portal esan opened send sinn directly to the cells of Trinsic.. First thing sinn did was smash the door open and get out, Regular guardsmen Delcaradur demanded esans gold back.. Seadh, sinn had arrived to the swaggers this time. Sinn entered it.. I already did an entry on this patrol, but it seems it got lost somehow....

Anyhow, we set out for a short graveyard patrol for me to see what this new Recruit had to offer. The first thing he did was to disobey orders, the lack of respect for his superiours was terrifying and must be dealt with at once!

I had an ingoing report about his behavior, as I stated above it got lost..

His abilities as a warrior is greater then his abilities to follow orders, even for a celt they are not great. A recruit cadre would suit fine.. or two. I shall perhaps set a few up.
