Hard at work painting the crates

Delivery!

*A written note has been left at the desk of the Scouts*

Adressed to Leith Keres, of the enterprising Scout Company

I have crafted and requisitioned a grand total of ten tan backpacks filled with survival and essential supplies for our good guardsmen. Each backpack is carefully packaged in a small dark green crate, painted to blend in with the surroundings.

Each backpack contains the following:
- A skillet for cooking food, as well as scissors & a skinning knife
- A saw, hatchet and a set of fletchers tools. Essential tools to chop logs as well as for making barricades & ammunition
- A box filled with needles, cloth string and button to repair a guardsmans armor and clothing
- A lantern and a flask of oil
- 10 meters of cloth for bandages [OOC: 100 bandages], as well as 100 bolts & arrows
- A bedroll with blanket, as well as a sextant for getting your bearings
- Rations for 2 days: Including a water flask, beef jerky, a wheel of hard cheese and plenty of delicious dried crackers

Please let me know where and when I can drop these off.

3  Element boards / Citizen Board / Dwral Nahlig' Shoppe on: August 14, 2018, 10:43:50 am
The town crier picks up the next note, inspecting it before clearing his throat.

"Hear ye, hear ye" he cries to the assembled commoners and guardsmen standing in the square

"A new shoppe has opened along the coastline south of Cove gate. It is run by Dwral Nahlig of the Glenmore Highlands."

"Available services include armor & weapon-making, exquisite carpentry, ingeniously tinkered items, and finely tailored clothes and armor!"

"A wide selection of pre-made armour pieces and fine weaponry is available. Full suits can be tailor-made on request, and individual pieces can be fitted to users on request"

On finishing the last sentence, the crier holds out the note which includes a picture of a bearded and grinning burly man, pointing at his shoppe' sign

[OOC: Will take requests for anything requiring carpentry, tinkering, smithing, tailoring and I can fletch arrows & bolts]

My claim to fame was that I was the first person to go from recruit all the way up into the Grenadiers way back when Ryan Greystone (Liam) formed them.

Grenadiers were formed by Hrothgar.. Foo'!

Welcome back Judas! I remember you being a Watchman when I left. Grin

11  In Character Boards / In Character Board / REPORT TO COMMANDER TORRAK: Plague outbreak in Yew. Possible spread to Trinsic. on: November 26, 2010, 12:43:43 am
[OOC: All this information is strictly OOC unless you happened to be involved in the event described, or ahve talked with the persons involved. Also didn't ahve UOSU installed atm... Sad]

Plague outbreak in Yew. Possible Spread to Trinsic

When: 23.11.2010 at 2100 hours.
Where: Cove,

Commanding Officer: Regular Grenadier Delcarakdur
Guardsmen in attendance:
- Guardsman Recruit Fritz
- Civilian Mizuho (Pronounciation uncertain)

To Commander Torrak, for your eyes only.

This evening I started the day off by patrolling the Covian lands, and late at night I thought it fitting to spend my evening at the Goblin. Ordering a meal off the barmaid, one Mizuho, and I had just finished eating when a pigeon flew in with a message from Sergio Jarret.

There was supposed to be an archery contest in Trinsic, so I asked the barmaid if she wanted to come along and watch, as I assumed the contest would be peaceful and there being no other guests in at the Goblin and with the streets apparently deserted, this would seem like the courtuous thing to do.

Travelling by the new Coven moongate, we arrived in Trinsic, first checking the area near the Trinsic Rose: It proved to be completely empty apart from just a single barmaid. Bidding our farwell, we head back towards the moongate, and all of a sudden a fresh recruit showed himself (I later learned his name was Fritz). Both he and the barmaid suggested that since the last contest had been held in Yew, we should head to yew to investigate. After some back and forth we couldn't find it and decided to head back to Cove via Stonekeep.

Upon arriving in Yew, we were greeted by a a barricade at the Tavern North of Stonekeep and was immidiatly urged by what looked to be a senior Besieger to come inside. We were quickly informed of a plague that were affecting Stonekeep. This plague caused people infected with it to show flu-like symptoms, and after a couple of days an extremely agressive behaviour to exhibit itself. We were shortly after attacked by what would mostly remind us of "living" Zombies. I immidiatly pledged myself and the recruit to the yewlanders service.

After repelling the initial assaults, and gathering wood for a barricade, the recruit and I went towards the Emerald Coast to scout along with another three yewish soldiers, what looked like a large volcanic eruption in the distance from stonekeep. At the Emerald coast a huge crater filled with many bodies was found, along with eirie howling to be heard from the center of it. Deciding to head back and report our findings to the commanding yewlander, we found that Stonekeep had been attacked, and our brave lass disappeared. Apparently she had chanted words of power and vanished according to the yewish guardsmen.

Beating back more of these now zombielike people, we finally appeared to have driven them off. Tending to the wounded a large dispute on the origins of the injury of one "Leo" nearly resulted a fight between the Yewlanders. After restoring order and making sure the wounded were tended for me and recruit Fritz headed back to Cove to rest up.

On another note, I highly reccomend running a drill and discipline cadre as soon as possible. Discipline seems to be sorely lacking, especially when fighting. I volunteer willingly for this task if you will find me worthy.
