OOC: This is where I am going to write up bits of information that I find out while no one thinks I am there. The information is not for IC knowledge unless you manage to obtain the in game item which relates to this (Book called "Ludwik's Spy Log"). Hopefully we will be able to get some interesting interaction from this.

Quick Build Up: Ludwik had now become fairly adept at the art of moving with the shadows and if he one day wanted to become a great scout, he needed to practice the arts of spying. He decided to keep a log of the things he discovered, perhaps it would help prove his worth to the Baronship and the scouts. Perhaps even it would be valuable one day.

Since I have started this I may as well put it to good use. I was silently moving round Cove yesterday, seeing what activity there was. Nothing much was going on so I headed to the tavern. I crept in slowly and hid close to two figures who were chatting, they had not seen or heard me so I decided to watch and take notes of the meeting

I recognised one of the persons as Amon Jarl, he had helped with the Caravan the other day, with him was a lady he addressed as Axiana. The lady seemed to be upset, she had received a message earlyer in the day, some bad news.

Amon said that he had become fond of the lady and had intentions to court her. She was shocked by this statement and went a bit silent as Amon complemented the lady repeatedly to try and talk her round. They both looked nervous and were sipping wine, Amon encouraging her to take a drink to settle her nerves and then he managed to knock over his glass and spill it over the table!

After they cleaned it up they briefly talked about being in business together and then Axiana asked Amon to escort her to her room, he obliged and they exited out of the tavern. I decided to not follow them from this point as the risk of detection would of been high.

Summary: Axiana received some bad news from a messenger, Amon wants to get to know Axiana better, Axiana seems a little reluctant.

*Scribbled in messy hand writting*

11th April 2008

Yesterday was fairly interesting, I stumbled upon Jon Trent and that Elf girl he found called Estel, they were outside that hobbit's house so I hid in the shadows nearby. I barely had time to get comfy when a man, who claimed to be called Jeremy and was dressed as a new recruit to the cove guard showed up from inside the hobbit's house. Not quite sure what he had been doing in there but it seems that this Jeremy has known the hobbit (who I later found out is called Fingo) for a number of years. This has already made me somewhat suspicious of this Jeremy.

They talked about very little until Fingo himself turned up and started complaining about being labelled as a thief at the market, he does sure talk a lot about stealing for someone who claims not to do so. Thief and a liar, this will not be tolerated, I shall have to deal with this little hobbit. He spoke of an Elf in blood red armour from Trinsic accusing him, perhaps it would be wise to speak to this person to further back up my case.

They then moved to inside his house, unfortunately I was unable to sneak in after them so I was left to sit outside and wait for them to come out. It was not too long before Fingo came out, with his staff poking the trees to try and find me, I have warned him once about thieving from the Cove Guards and I guess he is on to my activities. Never the less, it will not stop me. I have no doubt that Fingo is trying to find some allies within Cove so he can wiggle his way out of trouble when he wants.

I quickly took a peek inside the house while Trent and Estel were inside, they briefly uttered some words but then moved outside. I slowly followed them to the Tavern. Outside there was all four of them, it seems that Jeremy was intent on staying and was building himself a house right next door to the Tavern. Fingo then wandered off and Trent and Estel went inside to the Tavern, I followed them a took up a place in the corner to observe.

Much of what I saw made me feel a little ill, they kissed and at one point I was afraid it may even go further as Trent tugged on her dress. However Estel refused to do anything in the Tavern, although Trent claimed he did not mean what Estel was thinking and that she should get some armour to help her with her training.

The topic then moved to Estel getting a cloak to protect her from the rain, Trent stated that he enjoyed seeing Estel when she was rainsoaked so she said that she would go outside in the rain without a cloak if he so wished.

They then discussed Estel's scars. From what I have gathered from previous meetings Estel was rescued by Trent from orcs and they had treated her very badly. It went a little mushy here as Trent talked of replacing her bad memories with good ones and Estel recalled some of her most treasured memories.

The two then decided to exit to do what only I can imagine was not really something I wanted to witness but they do seem to enjoy their company together. Although I am concerned by their contact with Fingo. I shall keep a special eye on Estel in case she is influenced to do bad things by Fingo.

It was late then so I called it a night and headed back to the barracks to sleep.

Summary: Thieving Hobbit is called Fingo, appears to be friends with a new Cove Guard called Jeremy, he is building a house near the Tavern. Trent and Estel are together.

13th April 2008

I have not been a good mood since Friday, I turned up to training with Thomas Sendrich with every intention of working hard and learning from his expertise but it did not end that way. He shouted at me for not having the correct kit, even though never before have we required anything different, so I had to venture all the way to Britain to get what was required. When I returned some other guard turned up without any additional kit and was allowed to train non the less. This pissed me off, when I pointed this out he started ranting.

His turn out of three was quickly reduced to two as on the first set of exercises I sneaked off. I do not take kindly to being treated unfairly and perhaps I shall have to treat him unfairly from now on.

Top Spy List:
Fingo
Thomas Sendrich

More information needs to be gathered about these.

22nd April 2008

Not seen anything of Fingo or Thomas lately, which is a shame, I have some some dealings with the Stirling & Kendall Trading Company and managed to get my hands on a few traps that I plan to use on them. When they resurface I shall complete my plan.

Yesterday I bumped into a group of scouts who were about the go on some mission, I said that I intended to join the scouts when I was promoted so they asked me to join them. It turns out that we were going to arrest the man responsible for the kidnap and slavery of a Covian scout. Anyway, that is not so important, we brought him back to the barracks jail and took all his items from him. After a while I decided I needed a break and went away.

Later on I came back, although this time I decided to stay in the shadows, there was only Mel outside the cell when I got there, Hoagie soon joined her and they discussed what was going on. Hoagie seemed to know the prisoner and Jake was pleading with him to let him out. He tried every trick in the book, pleading he was insane, complaining about being beaten up and trying to act like the victim.

I was ready to pounce out of the shadows if Hoagie caved in but he stood firm and eventually Jake went into the corner of his cell and curled up. Mel then went to prepare some food for him and Hoagie peered into the cell looking sad. I am not sure of Hoagie and Jake relationship but it is something I need to watch. Although I don't think Hoagie is stupid enough to let him go, if something does happen, this may help determine who did.

24 June 2008

After yesterday's patrol, when I had been dismissed there was a little dissent in the ranks when Demarian Tel'var decided to leave the lineup before saluting, also Mela seemed to be arsey with Hoagie, not quite sure what was going on but as senior they should be setting an example, not having strops.

I think it must be to do with the relationship that these two are having, they were having several moments all over the shot today, must of put them both in stinking moods. I asked Hoagie afterwards what was going on but he said he did not know stating that he should bust them to regulars for a week to sort them out. He should really, might sort them out a little.

Might have to watch these two, see if I can get to the bottom of it.

On another note, not seen Fingo for a long time, guess someone took care of him.

30 June 2008

A day or so ago I was wandering round and bumping into Hoagie being measured up for a new set of armour by some commoner, Watchman Marcus Kobra was also there, seemingly trying to get himself into trouble, which he managed to do so after poking fun at Hoagie, something about man-love and snuggling too close on sentries. All another indication of poor discipline, not that I am one to talk about discipline.

After a while Hoagie snapped and ordered him up to the arena for punishment. The watchman was ordered to complete 50 laps of the arena, hoagie made it even more difficult by trying to trip him up, which he succeeded with at one point. Looks painful but that's what punishment is about! After he had completed Hoagie returned to being measured for the armour, at which point I decided to have a little fun, I sneakily aimed at jab at the back of Hoagie's head and disappeared in a blink. Marcus got the blame and was ordered to completed another 5 laps! Marcus denied it himself and blamed it on the guardian which Hoagie did not believe.

It seems there were no hard feelings afterwards as they shared some water on the bench and discussed where it came from, at which point I was starting to get a little bored so I headed downstairs, away from them both.

Nothing particularly exciting but another good practice of my skills, getting better and it's satisfying to test my skills.

08 March 2009

This book has gathered a lot of dust over the last months, I have not really needed to note down much, however, this has now changed.

I just recently witnessed some strange goings on in our prison, some elf recruit appeared to be looking after some brown robbed prisoner, he then left him and after walking up to checkhis exit I returned to find that the prisoner had disappeared.

More findings to report later

Yesterday cove had a visit from a man from Haven, he wanted to talk with the Commander but as he was not around he decided to wait for him in the Goblin. I quickly sneaked in before he got there and located a comfortable hiding spot to listen to what information he had.

The crux of the problem was Yew, it appears they have completed a hostile take over of Haven and are refusing to budge, they are causing quite a disturbance in the area and the normal residents are not happy. It was suggested that ourselves and Vesper would be able to assist them in the situation. Some loud mouth commoner then arrived and was talking about explosions, at which point I got a little bored and decided to slowly make my way out.

Yew in Haven? Perhaps I should take a look at how big the problem actually is.

Ludwik picks up his old spy log and brushes the dust off. It had been a long time since he was last actively using it. The years he and Fredrik had spent looking for their brother Erik was wasted. All for nothing. Erik was lost, either dead or perhaps he did get dragged into the underworld as some of the rumours suggested.

Back to Cove it was and he needed to move on and get back to what he loved. In the shadows, Ludwik will be watching, time to revive this log.
