The Baron's Own Grenadiers are protectors of the Baronship Household, Covian Shire and of course our liege Baron Octiovus himself!

To this end, as Grenadier Sergeant I am tasked with arranging a patrol rota to ensure that all is safe and well within our borders.

Therefore I am looking for guardsmen of Watchman rank and higher to lead a series of patrols over the coming week as follows:


Monday 9th July - Baronship Household
Kerri, Watchman
Patrol the area around the Barracks, Town Hall, Stables, Armoury, Church, Tavern, Scout Tower and Library.


Tuesday 10th July - Cove Town
Jack Sinist, Regular Guardsman
Patrol the City Walls & Watchtowers, Healers, Docks, Bank, Provisioners, Covian Fields and Lighthouse.


Wednesday 11th July 7pm - Orc Fort
Raiden, Grenadier Sergeant
Lead a patrol to the Orc Fort. Thin out their numbers a bit and check on their activity but be careful not to get cut off.


Thursday 12th July - Graveyard
Eve, Grenadier Officer Cadet
Lead a patrol to the Graveyard. Clear it of any deadite activity and occupy and hold the crypt for at least 5 minutes in case of a counter attack. Once the crypt has been secured clear the area again if need be.


Friday 13th July - Forest Ruins
Zoie Hayden, Dragoon Officer Cadet
Patrol the forests along our border with Vesper. Check on the ruins there as they have been known to shelter outlaws, brigands and worse. Once you have secured them patrol up to the Crossroads before returning home.


Saturday 14th July - Altmere Outpost
Kelly Valentine, Scout Corporal
Patrol the road up to the Altmere Outpost, disposing of any brigands, ogres and trolls you encounter on the way. Man the outpost and watch the road for at least five minutes.


Sunday 15th July 7pm - Northern Swamps
Senior Grenadier Demarian Tel'Var
Lead a patrol the the northern swamps and clear the area of the vile beasties that dwell therein.


Please sign below stating which day you wish to lead a patrol and then post it on the events board.

If for any reason you cannot attend a patrol you have signed for please contact someone to cover for you.

Please post a full report of your patrol below.

Wednesday 11th July 7GMT - Orc Fort

It took a while but finally when I lined up the guardsmen I told them what we were going to do. Traveling to each building on said list we checked inside, each one was clear. We then circled around to the Arena which apparently had been bumbed by orcs and was in pieces! What a shame.
I admittedly don't have much to write here except that we came across no actual threats neither man or beast.

The town was busy as always with a lot of different things going on. Some scoundrel insulted our ranks and the Baron appeared to see him strut away, just to ride off gracefully himself.
Recruit Baraz was found guilty of harassing the citizens and attacking senior guardsman Erik Arkay, it later revealed itself to be Senior Arkay himself that did said things, the recruit did his duty well and should be awarded the Baron's cross as soon as possible.
It would also appear that we have a new bear infestion on our hands, litter is on the increase as well.
