Perhaps "Generation" isn't the right term, this type of things been going on for decades before I was born. I'm not 20 for a few more days yet. but i wrote this one when reflecting on the friends I have back home. A good number of my friends back home, are Goth, Emo, Suicidal, a number of them have been clinically diagnosed with depression or some other form of mental illness.... and well I realized I was sad... So I wrote this one, remembering them.

"Generation  Dead"

What happened to this generation?
It seems we've all up and died.
But weren't we so recently young and very alive.

Despair made us old and took all the life.
We're craving an end at the edge of a knife.
Laying in our beds at night,
Our tears a loving lullaby.

Blood from the self inflicted wounds,
A hundred CC's of morphine for the life.
Taking dose after dose, now the edge is so close.
And close is too close for comfort
So we'll put ourselves a safe six feet under!

It seems love has been lain to rest
And nobody wants to realize the friend.
The friend standing by their side.
All we ever want is the shadow so we can hide.
Mascara and all the paint, the mask to seal in all emotion.

And to life...
          we lost all devotion.

Brilliant! Brilliant once more!

I very like your style of writing - seems a bit chaotic, but I very like the construction and the way you create and use metaphores.

About the content: You're damn right. Although it's the sign of our times, such thing like war (no matter of it's cause) it's a giant shock to all people involved. Doing such things (I don't mean exactly to kill somebody, but just the pressure of being in a warring country, where you're recognized as "the bad one") MUST have a disastrous impact on human's brain. Indeed, "the edge is so close."

I'm under impression, Kobra! Keep up the great work!
