The weather in Yew was as expected, it was dismal, dreary and chilly.  It began to rain as she approached Yew town, and as she rode into the town, the rain grew heavier and fell in sheets.  She looked around for the whereabouts of the Governor's office, then spotted a man standing in the center of town.  
"I'm looking for the whereabouts of the Governor of Yew, ye wouldn't happen to know him would ye?", she asks.  
"So they've sent a beautiful woman to assassinate im then eh?", he replies.  
She shakes her head, and wipes away the rain running down her face "No no of course not".  
"I am he, wha' can I do for yer?" he then says.
"I'd like ye to host a Jousting Tournament... here in Yew", she gestures to the area around her.

Decorating for the Wedding of Elizabeth Martin to Leanne Melior

*Axiana looks at her hunting outfit as it lays neatly over the chair ready for the Mongbat hunt to be held later in the day.  She had been out for a hunt the previous day, with her hired guard, then had later gone for a swim in the Covian Bath house.  As she looks at her outfit now, she immediately remembers with clarity, the previous evening's events.  She would never forget.  "What do I think I am doing?... I can't help the way I feel", she says to herself worriedly.  She shakes her head then shrugs her worry away.*

It was the day of the hunt but also a big day for Elizabeth Martin and Leanne Melior.  Axiana had a lot to preparations to make... following many pigeons between herself and Leanne Melior, the requirements for their wedding were finally settled.

Flower D'arranging

*The rain could be heard hammering down onto the roof.  She looked up as if she could see it fall.  Guilt weighed heavily on her heart, 'I must busy myself', she thought, and what better way to do that than in the service of the church!  The Cathedral needs flowers!*

Once the rain had stopped, she headed west into the Covian forest.  The air was fresh, and held a sweet fragrance as a result of the recent rain.  The branches of the trees twisted and turned in numerous directions as if beckoning her further in.  She gathered together a variety of wild flowers but in the process, lost track of time.  Darkness began to descend and she had now lost her way and all sense of direction.  It was not long before she heard the approaching sounds of a HeadlessOne.  She shook her head in thought 'How have I ever survived in this world?'.  She looked down at the flowers she was holding, and with nothing but flowers in her arms for defense, she ran in the opposite direction.  She'd been running a while and in the distance saw a clearing and recognition of where she now was.  Almost there!... she tripped and fell onto the flowers flattening them.  She sighed, looking at them and herself now covered in mud.

Appearance:  Axiana is an attractive woman.  Slim but shapely.  She looks younger than her years and is often mistaken to be in her mid to late 20's.  She wears good quality clothing and dresses extremely well.  She is relatively free of scars, moles, walts or distinguishing marks.  There is however, a small birthmark to the outer aspect of her left upper thigh  (which of course you are very unlikely to see, and lets hope the church does not decide to call it the mark of the guardian and throw her on the pyre, if it were ever to be unveiled!).  She bathes often, and if you are close enough to her, you will likely catch the scent of cherry blossom.

Background:  Born the second and last of two children.  Her mother, a foreign woman from the colonies, died in child birth.  Axiana has been protected and sheltered from the harsh realities of life, during her upbringing, because of this she is a little naive, even today.  Her naivety may sometimes be mistaken for stupidity.  She was well loved by her governess, Anna Cavell, which made up for the lack of love she received from her father, a nobleman of Britain.

When Axiana was 16, her father arranged for her to wed a Covian Noble.  She was brought up to be obedient and would do as her father told her.  In fact, at the time she was excited at the prospect of becoming a wife and having children.  A modest property was acquired and she was sent to live there, with her governess, in wait of the day when she would wed.  However, the wedding never took place. The nobleman in question, it was discovered, was already married.  It was at this time that she received news of her father's death.  His estate was entailed away to a cousin.  Left without financial help from both her Cousin and her Sister,  Axiana was forced to take on various work in Cove, in order to keep and maintain the property.  Her governess returned to Britain, but they never lost touch.  Axiana took in a boarder, Eve Thenasa.

Relationships/Marriage:  She has always admired the strength and physique of the guardsmen.  She was drawn to them.
  
She fell for the swagger of a grenadier who wooed her, a man much older and wiser than herself.  His name was Hirk’oto Takeamada.  They wed when she was 18.  A child followed when she was 19, a daughter, Anais.

Hirk'oto had to leave her and their child behind and alone after he departed for the colonies.  It is not known what happened to him or even if he still lives.  Because of this she is always seen in Cove alone, it is presumed by many, that she is yet unmarried.

Past and present: When Cove became overrun with the undead that plagued it.  Axiana and her daughter Anais went to live with her old Governess, Anna, in Britain, where she has been for the last ten years.

 'Posh bird' Patrician Axiana has an adventurous spirit.  However, she would never be able to survive adventure for long outside of Cove, without the protection of a hired guard, therefore she rarely leaves.

I had been in Cove town, near the bank when I saw him.  In an instant, the memory of why I was even there, had gone.  His thinning grey hair looked like silver in the moonlight and moved with the light breeze.  His face was half masked in darkness.  I stood their watching.
  
"Ullo Lass".  He was looking at me now.  I've never been caught ogling at anyone before, and initially looked about for anywhere else to be.  I was embarrased, to say the least, but recovered myself quickly and began to walk towards him.  As I approached, I could see items littered upon the ground.  "What are you doing here?", I asked.  His answer was evasive.  Another question led me to discover that the Baron had recently been in the area and discarded unrequired items!  To think, our Baron, is a litter bug?!

One item there caught my eye in particular... I'd recognise that design and the colouring on the label anywhere!  A rare vintage wine, no longer obtainable... 'Rose d' Cove'.  The idea of saving it for later had occured to me, but there was no point in drinking it alone, and I didn't!  It did not taste quite as well as I had remembered.  One glass led to another and well... I don't remember much after a number of glasses.  I awoke late the next day with a thumping headache.

I had thought that my headache would clear by the time church mass started, but alas it was not to be in this case, and Sir Hugo's voice reverbarated through my head for the duration.  The consequences for not attending, I imagined, would be far worse.   I won't deny though, that the Cathedral was a sight to behold, and took my mind off my discomfort for a while.

After mass it was not long before our good folk descended upon memorial square,  including the Baron himself!  Who I was inwardly cursing for leaving behind a bottle of headbanging wine near the bank.

I was most thankful for those that were able to help.  Yukina Kazami provided the food and beverage for the occasion, but from what I understand there was an incident of food poisoning? how unfortunate.  Sarah Keres, a fine blacksmith, was able to assist at short notice, since Dalla was taken ill.  Leso Varen took a stall reading palms and telling fortunes apparently, whilst Ilyana performed various tricks to entertain our attendees. Carolin Argon assisted me with ticket selling and the archery game.  Saerandir took charge of the large roasting boar on the spit.  Khae offered a service involving leather, I believe? and the Baron's Adjutant, Shadwell made a fine announcer for the Joust.

It is true that I was knocked from my horse and was unconscious during the rehearsal for the jousting show.  So because of this I had added extra padding inside my armor but especially to the helmet.  What can I say!  I must be a glutton for punishment.  Since having been knocked from my horse twice by our Liege.  I now feel and look like I have been battered by the Vesperian Horde, not very lady like at all (examines various bruises over her body from the joust).  I'm lucky to be alive!  But above all I have another headache.

There was no time to draw the winner of the raffle, that eve, a battle was about to begin.  I will call upon the Captain at a later date to draw the winning raffle tickets (assuming he survives that is), and announce the winners in due course.

I have had no previous training and very little experience when it comes to dealing with injuries (except when dealing with minor injuries, in the case of myself and my daughter, Anais).  I wanted to help, to be of some use.  I was not prepared and neither did I know what to expect.  If it had not been for the nujel'm healer and Joelle's guidance, I know not how we would have fared.  We had no choice but to 'get stuck in' so to speak.

Standing before us the guardsmen stood proud, with that familiar look in their eyes.  It brought back the memory of a song I had written, of how brave our Guardsmen and women can be.

Blood and vomit was soon to be the order of the day! It was far from pretty (and I like pretty).  Under the instructions of the healer and Joelle, Aureline and myself found ourselves dealing with all sorts of injuries, some more unusual than others!  Anything from poisoning to arrows stuck in the ****.  Our losses were few and the ultimate glory was ours that day.

With a guardsman escort for my personal protection, I have finally been able to complete the preparations for this year's Summer Faire, without the worry of any further Undead Tormentors presenting themselves!

It is my hope that the Faire itself, will prove to be a welcome escape for us all, from the horrors of this war (if but for a short while).
