Father,

Seeking knowledge for the upcoming sermon I sought the Covian Library for materials. Perhaps some book of law, some dusty tome would give me fresh insight. I scoured the shelves until I were chocking on all the dust. It where then that I came upon a peculiarly named tome. "A Political Call to Anarchy"; Anarchy? Chaos? What is this tome I didst ask myself. I must say I opened its cover with trepidation. For already I knew this book where to speak some vile sin, and had already done so to countless others. Others who may have lacked my faith and would have taken to the information within. I read the words slowly and methodically as I deciphered all possible meaning. Hours passed, night became day and on I read until finally I had digested the last words within the tome. This tome hath claimed the shrines were built to destroy this world. . . preposterous! It implores people to question and doubt all but themselves? Is every man to be his own Avatar? By the Light this tome shouldest be removed from the shelves and the circulation of society! Burn every copy; Slay anyone who wouldst preserve its perverted teachings!

I hath gathered every copy I didst find and burned them. I stood there starring until stratos had born the ashes away. Nothing now remains where His righteousness cleanses. The doors to the Library hath also been barred until further notice!

I pray we can stop this heresy before it roots itself. The general lack of intelligence may work in our favour. . . the people of Cove are not voracious readers.

May His Light protect us.

Aumen.

19  Element boards / The Church / [Report] Collecting Tithe on: November 10, 2008, 02:23:57 pm
Father,

Having exhausted my bolts whilst fighting the enemies of Higher Being, I didst set forth to find a means to replace them. It occurred to me that I might make them myself. This plan was expelled forthwith after having thought upon my bolts curving around trees and flying in mad zigzags through the air. I therefore sought a merchant from whom I might acquire some. Having found a poster hailing the opening of an Altmere market I didst walk that way, sword in hand. I found the store and began to browse when I was disturbed by The Tokunian Grenadier. We exchanged brief salutation and then he offered me a sum of money. He claimed that duty would keep him from the mass in Stonekeep and that the sum would be his tithe. The man didst tithe a sum of 2,280 coin. I hope more of the faithful shall show such sacrifice in the future. May he walk in the light
.

P.S.  It shouldst also be noted that there is a merchant at this shop selling black brew. I hath not heard of its outlawing but I am certain of its harmful affects. The substance goes the way of alcohol and women; Having its uses yet ultimately harmful.
20  In Character Boards / In Character Board / (REPORT) Hunt to Covetous. on: October 17, 2008, 07:08:34 am
Attending:

Arcanist Kas Valentine
Recruit Yenril Darkeyes

Leading:

Friar Michael Vandrik

After having just received blessing from Sister Sharon, I set out to summon any guardsmen or able bodied citezens to aid in cleansing Covetous. After sounding the alarm the two men finally arrived. Disparaging numbers but considering the time of night I shouldst not expect too much. We quickly marched off to Covetous!

Once inside we lay ed many of those feathered daemons known as harpies to rest. Even a few of their stony cousins assaulted us! We laid these to waist and moved deeper into the depths. We soon came upon a nest of many eyed beasts! The vile creatures enveloped us in noxious fumes whilst pummelling the party with vile magics! We fought through by he grace of Avatar and made the entrance to the second level.  We continued no further due to our small numbers and upon our exit soon found ourselves fiercely overwhelmed five to one. I ordered the men to flee and we soon made our way back to Cove.

In total we collected five-thousand coins and 800 feathers. I gave each guardsman one thousand coin for his services and toted the other three thousand and feathers off to the Preceptor. The gold is currently with the other resources since I do not have access to the Preceptor's office.

More fine work done in the name of Avatar! Blessed be his name! Aumen!

It hath come to my attentions. That our most Pious sisters art truly  blessings from higher being. It is through The Light wielded so humbly and righteously by our Sisters that we find the extra vigour in our arms and lifting of our very souls in the midst of battle! I thought on the repercussions of losing  a sister in battle, or even to the common thuggery! Knowing that they doth wear jerkins of leather, I set out about the Shire to hunt and harvest the hides of the local beasts.

I set out from the church to the town proper. Here I didst purchase a beast of burden using my own coins. I loaded the animal with a shovel as well so that  where ever I didst roam I might recover Iron rich rocks! I set all abouts the shire with little incident until I came upon two ettins! I set abouts separating the pair and laying waste to them with my Crossbow! I do lack the essential ability with the weapon but I didst manage! Sadly the second ran my beast down and mauled in something fierce. After dispatching the guardian spawn I was forced to cut the beast throat. A pity. I hauled my ore and hides upon my back to the nearest shop where I didst smelt the ore.  I continued to hunt for a short while until I had around two-hundred stones of hide!

I placed the resources within my safety box until a craftsman can be contracted to make the necessary equipment.

Blessed art we whom walk in the light.

      Aumen.

Ah, though I can not speak for the Church my good fellow. I wouldst suggest you speak with Father Siegfried! The plot may be useful. I can make no promises except that it would see good use from we Clergy and Templar.

I hope you will consider!

24  In Character Boards / In Character Board / {REPORT} Cleansing Honour! on: August 30, 2008, 04:49:39 pm
This even the following men hath gone forth to do His work.

Arcanist Kas Valentine
Watchman Delferium
Watchman Torak Keres
Hoagie Grayner, Coward

I gathered all the men possible at the army's barracks. I explained to them that we would go forth to Honour and cleanse the lands! We marched to the moongate. After passing through we marched on a dilapidated building containing many rat things and within the cellar we didst find a foul coven of wytch! We slew them all and moved on to depts of a cave. The Coward Grayner looked once into the depths and immediately requested to be dismissed! I hope that coward prays that Avatar hath mercy upon his soul! We continued without him. What we found within was the foulest prison I have yet been in. Undead lurked all abouts.

The men fought bravely but alas, we were defeated time and again. We fought back as long as we could but in the end Myself and Watchman Delferium where left without our equipment as our unconscious forms where drug from the depths by The Arcanist and Keres.

I ordered the men to withdraw, due to our lack of manpower and equipment! Damn that Coward Grayner!

We returned to the barracks to count out 11 thousand coinsand some gems. I gave 2 thousand coins to each man with Watchman Delferium giving his over to the church! After selling the gems at a local merchant I placed a total of 8 thousand coins within the church coffers! Praise be to Avatar that something were gained!

26  In Character Boards / In Character Board / [REPORT] Cleansing the Graveyard. on: August 20, 2008, 12:36:28 am
This eve the following guardsmen didst help bring forth His will.

Guardsman Marcus Tel'var
Guardsman Kas Valentine, Arcanist.
Guardsman Taybard Jackel
Guardsman Hoagie

The Church:

Friar Roland Dagorian, Leading
Father Siegfried
Friar Michael Vandrik

After a most instructive training was closed, Friar Dagorian decided to bring about His most holy Will and purge the local graveyard of the guardian spawn which doth plague it. Upon arrive I didst learn that this.... filth, ran deep. A wytch of unspeakable power laid dominion over many foul undead. So confident in its awful dominance it didst stride forth immediately to do battle with His servants.

We purged the wytch and burned the rest. Laying waste to all His enemies whom stood before us. Whilst we vanquished the undead with steel and fire, there was a ... female. The female insisted upon meddling and even questioning Father Siegfried.  The female was ordered to be escorted away by guardsman Hoagie. Females must learn their place, either as cleric, at arms in His name, or out of the way unseen and unheard. After a thorough cleansing we made back to the army garrison.

1,629 coin were recovered from those foul beings. The coin shalt be cleansed and put to His Will. For a first day I am convinced that this small back water town is indeed in need of His intervention. His will be done, we The Templar's, His sword, shall see it done! Aumen.
