Covian merchants travelled to New Haven last week to sell their wares to a lively and varied crowd from the world over.

We pitched our own stalls in along the nameless alley which runs from the smithy to the tanner's, which looked at first to be a rather rough spot, but what with so many soldiers about perhaps the local cutpurses thought it wise to remain at the town square; there was no trouble which I saw. Behind us a fellow peddled all manner of strange and exotic plants, and a safe ways down the street, well fenced-in, an elf was showing a strange little menagerie of beasts, the like of which I'd not seen before.

I got a few specialist tools off my hands for a fair bit of gold, and sold off a few weapons; it looked as though the others were doing well for themselves, too.

When business began to cool, Mai and Ms Cuilwen rounded up a fair few people into the Lion's Den Tavern, which has a fighting pit in its back room. There ran many rounds of a fighting competition whilst others looked on and drank and made their bets; I was called away before the fighting ended, but last I saw, our own Captain Grayner and Mr Gry seemed to be coming out well ahead.

40 shillings are awarded to Amon Jarl, Maibaum Holzfee, Manuel Calavera, and Mat Shadowhand for their help in setting up and running the market stalls.

30 shillings are awarded to Anna Jones, Reno Montresor, Eevee St Clair, and Spud Goodsoup for attending.
