The Dragoon HQ has now gone! Take a look as a rough size guide if you can't locate the other plot (still available).
21  OOC Boards / OOC Board / 1 Covian House Seek New Owner! Urgent! on: September 07, 2007, 06:51:47 pm
Two 3-storey houses, roughly the same size. One is the old Dragoon HQ, NorthEast of the Barracks. The other is South East of the graveyard (more suited as an outpost).

Both of these plots are going for free, donations welcomed, but not necessary. I'd rather ye joined the navy instead!

Arr...

About 8 days left gametime holding these, so please ICQ me: 122413685.

23  In Character Boards / In Character Board / Intelligence Operation to Britain on: September 02, 2007, 08:36:30 pm
Thursday 30th August, 7pm GMT

Attending:

Arma Renox, Commodore
Eve, Grenadier Officer Cadet
Ihiniar Tel'var, Watchman

As per Sergeant Hrothgar's orders, the Navy mounted a mission to assess the defensive capabilities of the Royalists' home City: Britain.

I "disguised" myself as a sailor (at which point Flina Trix decided she would not be attending if it meant wearing a silly distinguished hat such as mine), and instructed Eve and Ihiniar that they would pose as a noble-couple.

This would serve as not only a disguise, but also as part of a cover to avoid awkward questions.

Arriving at the docks and tying up the boat, we noticed no guardsmen, and were asked no questions by the workers there! Not even the harbour master raised a brow at the finely dressed couple and their sailor...

Not only were the docks themselves undefended, but a channel also leading up through the centre of the city was unguarded. We even found ships, discarded and unlocked, scattered along the coast.

Just as we thought our luck was running out, having stumbled upon a guard tower, it turned out that even a defensive structure on the Eastern coast was completely empty, with not a guard or even a cannon in sight!

I used a piece of reflective glass to mark the cliff face near the tower, so that it could be seen by our naval forces from sea, in the case of a potential "excursion"...

Using one of the unguarded boats, we sailed across the bay to our own vessel, to decrease the risk of being stopped, and made a quick exit!

The verdict: Britain's defences, from a naval perspective at least, are a shambles! Royalist scum!

This order is essential, and filling it will allow us to proceed with a very important mission!
26  In Character Boards / Old Events / [COMPLETE] Thursday 28th August, 7pm GMT (19:00): Intelligence Op. on: August 28, 2007, 03:32:00 pm
On Thursday at 7pm, I will be taking a small vessel on an intelligence gathering mission to Britain; capital city of the Royalists.

Any marine interested guardsman would be advised to attend; those who are unaware of the Navy should also come along, and see how we do things at sea!
Scouts especially, and any other guardsmen are of course welcome.

We have placed a (yet unfilled) order with the citizens for some disguises, but it may be prudent to bring some of your own!
We will be masquerading as noblemen and women, although if you are unable to pull off a posh accent, you'll just have to dress like a servant!

27  In Character Boards / In Character Board / Driving out the Vesperians! on: August 26, 2007, 01:58:43 pm
I were sitting enjoying some fine ale, looking out to sea, when I received a pigeon carrying a hurriedly scribbled note.

It seems Vesper were pushing our Yewian allies out of Haven; tearing up banners and putting their own out instead.
I travelled through the moongate to Haven as fast as I could, and met up with Henry and his men as they regrouped. We moved forward to Haven, where two Vesperian wytches and a solider were erecting a large red banner, making threats, and bullying innocent citizens into joining them.

I even attempted to find a peaceful resolve to the situation, yet Phlebas was having none of it, and mocked us in front of the citizens.

However, in a show of allied strength, we quickly dispatched Phlebas and his sword weilding friend, and drove the other cowardly wytch running and crying to the moongate!

Recruit Cadence met us as we drove the last of them away, and stayed with our allies to continue the defence.

That'll teach 'em!

The Navy requires a selection of noblemen's clothes, that can be used to construct several disguises for an upcoming mission to the City of Britain.

The clothes will need to be elegant enough to fit in with the rich natives,, yet discrete enough to not stand out and draw attention.

Payment on delivery, a broad selection required for maximum effect.
