The Recruit Cadre

There are some things Recruits must know, which is why there is a set course they must complete.

Lately i've noticed that many are forgetting basic orders, and Cadre's are not up to the standard they once were, so to combat the problem here is a set of Solid Guidelines each Cadre MUST follow.

A Recruit Cadre led by any guardsman MUST be observed by an officer level Command member (Corporal and above) to make sure nothing is missed out, aswell as ATLEAST 4 Guardsmen in total attending 2 of which must be a Recruit.

=================

The Recruit Cadre

1. How to Adress a superior
 - Everyone will refer to a superior guardsman or Officer as "Sir" or "Ma'am"

2. Uniform
 - Explain that every rank has a set uniform code, and that it should be applied at all times.

Recruit Uniform
 - Covian Bandana (Head dress - When not in battle)
 - Shadow Close Helm (Head armour - When In or heading into battle)
 - A Shadow iron Platemail Gorget
 - A full suit of Shadow iron Ringmail
 - A Covian Uniform (Brown boots, Kilt and sash)

3. Lining up
 - Whenever "Line up" is ordered, a Guardsman must make an orderly line 2 spaces ahead of the Guardsman in command (2 UO tiles, I.E. one empty tile row between the line-up and the commanding Guardsman).

 - Whenever the order "Double Line" is ordered, guardsmen must make 2 even lines infront of the guardsman in command, the first line must be 2 spaces away from the commanding guardsman (see above) and the second line directly behind them.

 - When the order "Trackers Line" is ordered, Guardsmen must line up in a straight column behind the commanding guardsman.

 - Each line-up should be centered on the Commanding guardsman, they should not have to move for you, Make this very clear.

 - No guardsman should speak in a line-up unless spoken to first or given permission by the commanding Guardsman. Make this very clear.

4. Basic Battle Orders

Box Formation
 - When the order "Form!", "Form up!" or "Formation!" are called, guardsmen must rush to cover the guardsman in command, this is done by covering all sides (if possible).

 - When there arent enough men to cover every UO tile around the commanding guardsman, they must cover the front, to the left/right, and to the rear of the guardsman in command, in that order.

 - When the sides are covered, guardsmen fill in the corner gaps of the formation using the same order as before (Front left/right, Rear left right, ect.)

Targeting
 - To get a group to target a specific enemy, for example a troll, the commanding guardsman will yell "Target Troll!", when that order it called, each member of the group must attempt to attack the target by double clicking on the target while in war mode, and if possible, display their HP bar. (Emphasise that the target called by the Commanding guardsman is the primary target and shouldnt change unless told otherwise or absolutely necisary)

 - When the order "Charge!" is called, guardsmen must charge the specified target, if no target was specified beforehand, the guardsman in command will yell "Charge Troll!" for example, and then guardsmen will attack the target. (Emphasise the importance of charging a target when told to)

 - If only a specific group are to charge, for example the Dragoons, the guardsman in command will yell "Dragoons, Charge!", when that happens, anyone who is a dragoon will charge the specified target as explained before.

 - If you arent part of the selected group when a group charge is called, then you must remain where you are, or in close proximity to the commanding guardsman, DO NOT RUN OFF, Highlight this point when explaining it.

5. Watchman duties
Explain the Duties of their next rank, Watchman (I.E. Leading Patrols, Sentries, and setting a good example)

6. Cadre Roster
Inform them that they need to sign a Roster on the IC board as proof they attended the Cadre.

7. Dismissal
Explain how dismissal should work
- When asked to be dismissed they salute the guard in command, then when the salute is returned they may leave.

8. Roster
Make a post on the IC board titled "Recruit Cadre Roster" for them to sign their names.

============

Thus concludes the Recruit Cadre.
