Competitions and prizes are as follows:

Bare knuckle boxing. - 50,000 gold and Trophy to 1st place,  30,000g and runner up prize to 2nd place.

Fishing Contest. - 30,000 gold  and Trophy to 1st place, 20,000g to 2nd place, runner up prize to 3rd place.

Best dressed - Male, Female, Couple, Singleton. - 20,000g each category.

Rulk/Bulk and Pie Contest. - 30, 000 and a tour of Rulk Industries plus a free crate of choice of drink to 1st place,  20,000 and four free drinks of choice during the event to 2nd place, Runners up prize to 3rd place.

Relay Race   -  100,000 gold for the 1st team,   50,000 gold for the 2nd team,  Runner up prizes for the 3rd team.


Stalls are available to hire at the cost of 100g or 50gp advance booking, for entry to contests please make yourself know to Junior Arcanist Mercy or any member of Rulk Industries.

Today we had a new arrival to the barracks, a four legged one, a wolf  called Rogul.  I first saw Abigail with him and thought he looked all cute and fluffy.  To begin with he was a bit shy of me but soon we were best of friends and we were playing and everything.  The wolf looked very tired and began to have a nap, so I laid down and cuddled him to keep him warm.  But then T'Keres came and woke him up, I was scared at first cause Sergio was saying we'd have to get rid of it, apparently it was one of those Kaldorian's wolves but luckily T'Keres said we could keep him and let me be the one to look after him, oh and the rest of the Arcanists, but mostly me. *Highlights the word me*

Rogul was very quick to show he'd make a very good guard dog cause he smelt something and ran off to investigate, with me quickly following.  The first thing he found was a Harpy in the bay so I quickly flamed it and killed it dead.  Then it smelt something else and was walking round and round in circles and everythings, when suddenly one of those green men popped up.  Rogul jumped at it and tried to disarm the green man but he got hurt and then there were two green men and we're all suddenly fighting them, with me healing Rogul as he ran about barking and biting and chasing them.   

We quickly knocked down the one greenman but the other one ran off with Rogul fast on it's heels, he's a very fast wolf and clever too.  So Torrak and Lucent and me go running off after him to but the orc keeps hiding amongst the trees and we didn't manage to catch it.   When we got back I gave Rogul a nice peice of meat and T'Keres sorted out somewhere for him to sleep, I did say he could sleep at the Rulk Industries but he didn't think that was a good idea.

I'd just got back to the barracks after my widwifery visit to Kat and Tommy Nottinbury to find the place was still empty.  Where'd everyone gone I wondered when I saw someone lurking about in the shadows.  I thought it was one of the Scouts but when they came towards me they were all dressed in some costume.  So I tolds them its not All Hallows eve and they made a funny sort of noise and asked me what I meant.  Bit funny someone dressed up and not knowing why?  But I tolds them anyway.  Then they started going on about some Guardian, and master and trying to get me to bow, didn't see why I should so I didn't. 

He kept making these portals and talking about minions, so I said I could make one and went to Yew, but he followed me.  Then he made another portal and I thought it was to go back to Cove and walked throught, except we weren't at Cove we were, I dunno where we were but it weren't Cove.  We were at some old looking church with a graveyard, and he pushes me in, was very rude all the pushing.  But was a nice little church a bit sparse and what I thought was his dad as a statue cause it looked like him in the other costume, except he didn't seem to like me talking about his dad.  I told him a bit about mine or what little I knew.  But he said the statue is of the Guardian, the Master of creation and destructions, so I said, that sounds like Kas he's good at making things and destroying things.  Anyways this funny green man came in and they was talking to each other in a strange language and next thing I know they're taking me some place else.

I walked out the next portal and this time we're at some wooden buildings, so I thought maybe its some kind of strange tour? Maybe these are like an odd tourist group or maybe they trying to find buyers for their houses? So I looks all round the wooden building and in the different rooms, found a nice lot of pretty things in one.  Then went up and checked the view but I didn't think it'd be that nice for me and I like my new house so I had to go tell them, thankyous but I won't be buying it.

When I went back outside the other green man and costumed one were gone, was just this other one sat on a stool and looking a bit um, drunk.  So I told him that its a nice place and all but not just for me and thanked him kindly for letting me have a looks about.  I then made my way past the buildings and through the forest but I wasn't sure where I was so had to magic my way home.   When I got back there still wasn't anyones about so I decided to go and have a nap.

Description:

Her long raven black hair hangs in waves down her back and shoulders, her body is slim and there is little muscle on her, she has bright green eyes that shine when she smiles, her face is heartshaped with a small nose and high cheekbones.  Her lips are soft and usually smiling or pouty if she is upset. 
She wears her uniform proudly, and has a necklace about her neck in place of a gorget which she only wears when fighting.  Often has a mage's hat which is slightly too big for her and usually at a slight tilt on her head, the point of the hat is bent at an angle.

Characteristics

Mercy is a very friendly person, loyal to Cove and her friends and loves to help, she is usually quiet around those she doesn't know but her confidence is growing.  She has a child like innocence to alot of things and misses most of what is said or goes on around her if she doesn't quite understand it's meaning.  She is very protective of Kas Valentine who she loves and is devoted to and will set anyone on fire who threatens or hurts him.  Mercy is likely to run away in a battle situation if she is left alone but her courage will soon return if she sees any other Covian nearby. 

Background

She was born and raised on the boarder of Cove and Minoc with her two brothers and recently younger sister.  It is known in the family that Mercy doesn't share the same Merchant Sailor father as her siblings because of her arcane abilities.  Her father is remembered only as a shadowy cloaked man that visited the village, charmed her mother one night and disappearing soon after.  Mercy has always been shunned for her abilities and spent much of her time locked in a cupboard.  When she eventually escaped and joined the Covian Army her brother Sean Greyson was sent to find her and bring her back, having found she had taken vows to service he decided to stay himself and later became a squire of the Church.   

Career History

Mercy's abilities grew under the tutorship of Arcanist Kas Valentine and they soon formed a close bond.  For a time they were amongst a very few Arcanists when the Army became a Mercenary Group they attracted several new members.  During the transistion back to the Army, Mercy was amongst those who helped put the foundations to the Arcanist Squad, including the introduction of their uniform.
Mercy took part in several wars, most notably the Boarder Wars Campaign where she helped keep several of the Arcanists alive so they could deal a deathly blow on their eniemies.

She paints nails better than me.. aww cute.

That mean and nasty Casca had been destroying the crop fields of Britain and starving all the citizens.  So it was decided that everyone would help these people and bring food to them.  Cove brought three packhorses of food, which we had to get to Yew to meet up with everyone else before we took them to Britain.  Not sure why we couldn't just open a big portal to Britain and take them through but no they all wanted to walk, which was silly cause we got attacked along the way and people and horses died and it was awful.  But all the Guardsmen fought really well and the other adventurers that came along, as well as the two big dragons that were really scarey and kept stomping on us and tripping us up with their tails.



It seemed to take ages to get to Britain as everytime the road looked clear we'd be attacked from all sides by a rush of men with big axes and suprisingly little armour.  But those axes really hurt!  Kas and I were healing everyone in sight as well as blasting at some when we had the chance.  Sergeant Keres had to wear a pink cloak, which was very funny, just so we could spot him amongst everyone else as it was mayhem. 

Finally we got to Britain, well Cove did and made sure that all the surrounding areas were safe for the rest, who tried to say we went the wrong way.  Nuuh, we were making sure another force wasn't going to attack us. So we get to Britain and find that Trinsic were already there, having travelled by boat!!  Would of been alot safer by portal but boat could of been too, wasn't fair that.

Most of the horses arrived safetly and the food was left to be distributed amongst all the starving citizens and Cove saved the day again, hurrah!

As there wasn't much happening I decided to take those of us around on a patrol to Covetous and gather some feathers from the birdwomen there.



Celuvian opened a portal and we all headed in, fairly confident that this patrol would be an easy one.



We worked our way all through the first set of tunnels, killing everything in sight and stripping the wings of feathers.  Managing a good handful from each creature that we slayed.    After we'd had enough killing them we headed on to the next set of tunnels and set our sights on a few elder gazers.   Unfortunatly I happened to lose the sketches I made of the battles but we managed to take down four of them before our return home.
