16  Element boards / Citizen Task Board / Experienced Iron Worker Required on: September 25, 2010, 12:17:55 am

*A big notice left in the middle of the barracks board, and the civilian board*

As you may have noticed, the eastern most cell's exterior bars have been greatly damaged and need to be replaced. This would be a grand place for any ambitious iron monger looking to make a name for himself, and the army will pay a fair sum to anyone who can do a good job of it.

*The bars have been boarded up*

To complete this task an army officer must be available and able to supervise the removal and the replacement of the bars, and the quality of the new bars and the installation. This is a vital job so be careful!

Army Quartermaster

(OOC: This is purely an RP task so anyone can complete it but try to involve as many people, as creatively, as possible in the process of completing it.( i.e - organizing a mining trip to get the metal required, have a few crafters help forge it into bars, ask for army escort to get the bars safely to the barracks, etc.) You don't have to do that, but I'm sure you'd get more shillings if you did. )

   *Another letter*

Sir, he had no poisons or explosives on him when I searched him last at the Goblin. However it is entirely possible that he has a safehouse there, especially with the recent re-construction. His wife also, will take any chance she can get to undermine authority and stall the law from being carried out.

If I may make a suggestion I believe it would be effective to have someone infiltrate Kal's ring of friends and keep the situation in check and possibly gather further evidence against him. It is not a secret that he has little loyalty to the Baron and I would not doubt the possibility of him being a smuggler or a spy. Furthermore, he had a number of weapons on his person and he dresses like a warrior. I did not know the laws regarding this so I bring it to your attention now.

Sir,

The past forgiven criminal, Kal Shadowhand had small explosives on his person which he lit around an army sentry and his newborn child.. If it's his... I confiscated them from him, upon which point he insisted he had more at his home.. I was not about to let him keep them. I gave him a day to hand them to an officer with a report by the next day, he walked away.. Not about to let him undermine me anymore I followed him and demanded to know where he lived.. He began to threaten me, and so I bashed him once in the face..

He retaliated with aggression and armed up in the Goblin... I with the help of a Junior chased him off into the woods. I told his wife he was now to be considered a criminal and left her. We then manned a sentry by the barracks and I reminded the Junior clearly what aiding and abetting was..  Just in case..

I will await orders.

23  In Character Boards / In Character Board / [Report-Training] Recruit Cadre & Drill Training on: September 06, 2010, 03:23:31 am
Commanding Officer: Sergio, Junior Scout/Hoagie, Captain
Guardsmen in Attendance:
Walter, Guardsmen Recruit
Brenna Night, Guardsmen Recruit
Graum Troll, Guardsmen Recruit
Raven Cross, Watchman
Keitaro, Junior Grenadier

Sergio lead a recruit cadre, with the captain later joining to take us through some pain training, a kit inspection and an inspiring Covian speech.

We learned parade drills and a few battles orders from Sergio, who also taught us the technique and the purpose of the Arkay Maneuvre. Discipline among recruits was an important focus in this cadre. Later the captain was handed the lead and he inspected our kit. Those who didn't have what they needed were forced to go get it right away. The Captain gave us some pain training, each of us getting beat up by him. Then he ended it with a summary of everything we learned. I for one learned a lot.

Here are my sketches.

I have found out about the incident with Kiran, and I will now see to it he is accompanied by a Grenadier as often as possible. I will not inform the general army about this affair, however I will see to it that they keep their wits about them at all times, especially in the presence of strangers.

However this is not the matter I wish to discuss, I wish to tell you something I learned from a barmaid at the tavern, Rachel was her name. She tells me earlier this day, the same day of the attack of Kiran, she witnessed a few Vesperians outside of Swaggers talking blatantly about kidnapping, torturing and dismembering Kiran and his staff. She said that Elaine and a man named Rhett seemed to be giving the orders and doing the out loud thinking, they might've been in charge she says.

This is all I know, do what you will with the information.

The logs were given to Mr.Goodsoup in exchange for seven hundred fifty gold coins.

I'll be sure to trade more with the somewhat overly generous Mr.Goodsoup.

I have for you a deed to fifteen hundred roughly cut logs. They are definitely of all shapes and sizes because I'm no lumberjack, just a man with an axe. But I'm sure there's enough wood to satisfy your needs.

Send me a pigeon and we can arrange a date to exchange the deed for a fair bit of coin. I'll need some to cover the cost of the packhorse, and some for liquor the coffers. The logs can be obtained from the Memorial square stores.

I had to create some posters and buy a few torches because the pouch was out of them.
I did, adding about fifteen new posters to the pack.
Then I set out to town, and asked an old friend of mine to show me how to use the fancy "moongate" in town. Avatar forgive for me for using it, but it is easy. It took me places I've never been before, and I didn't trust the gate but I tried not to get very far from it.
I put posters in the following locations, all of which I've never been to before, except on rare occations.

-Minoc Gate
-Yew Gate
-Jhelom Gate
-Britain Gate
-New Haven Gate/town
-Luna Gate/town
-Moonglow Gate
-Covetowne Bank

Walter

Appearance: Walter is a man in his prime, filled with youthful ambition and ripened by age. He stands at roughly 6ft, with a large sturdy frame. He is a heavyweight among men, but certainly fit. From years of serving his father as a porter he has gained a hefty set of arms, and built legs. On his head a scraggly head of dark hair and an average face, the only notable feature being a large protruding jaw. He would not be described as handsome by many, perhaps more suited a description would be that of a brute. However he walks with an aura of confidence and seems to have intelligence backing his strength. He is very obviously a hard working, simple man.
