OOC Boards / OOC Board / Re: A rant

When I was reading this I definitely didn't see guildchat as the main issue. I agree with Railen that things aren't the same as they were. I remember when I joined, I actually did read all the rules and answered the questions. I don't know if that's protocol anymore, or if that's the problem but I liked it. Because it gave the guild just enough seriousness to new members.
And I see similar issues with the military aspect too, it's been going on for a while, and I'm not the best at discipline either. But still. The army isn't an army now, it's an episode of Big Brother or something. No one trusts each other IC and it's because of lack of discipline in the army as a whole. When I was a recruit I was afraid of being insubordinate thanks to Command members like Kelly and Graem who were awesome. But now there's no fear of officers, and everyone is "Cuddly Hoagles" or "Retarded Buttons" or "Keres"
I for one think that like Railen, everyone joining the guild whether new to rp completely, or from another guild, no matter how well known they are there, should be subject to the rules IC and OOC of every other new member. And that people should know their place. The awesome backstory fight the power uncontrollable rebel is the most over-used character to play, btw.

In Character Boards / In Character Board / Guardsmen Hunt in Ilshenar

Commanding Officer: Keres, Grenadier Commander Guardsmen in Attendance: Buttons, Regular Grenadier Keitaro, Junior Grenadier Ilyana, Junior Arcanist We followed Keres to a random place in Ilshenar and fought our way around the place without much of a goal. We went through annoying hoards of imps and mongbats to a magical forest. From there we took a mountain pass to a moongate. From there to Compassion we traveled and met up at the gypsy camp. It was decided at random to go to Montor and so we went in it's direction avoiding blackthorn's castle. A rather intense battle ensued between the walls and the swamp with a fair amount of paragorns. We made it out of there without a single fall and passed through very old, dark woods into the desert. Sand and... Red sand elementals provided amusement as we walked to the gargoyle city for a break. Keitaro seemed to be dead somewhere in the city when we left so we decided that was a big enough loss for the day and went home. *Signed* Buttons, Regular Grenadier

In Character Boards / In Character Board / A Beautiful Covian Wedding

It was on Sunday, April 11 we gathered together to celebrate the wedding of the lovers; Abigail Keres and Thomas Aylmer who are very much in love and shall be until the end of days. If you see this couple together in Cove in the upcoming days take the time to congratulate them and wish them luck. May they make lots of arcanist babies and live happily ever after. Buttons did all the work. Mizuho might've helped with the drinks.. Oh and Hrothgar was the priest, that was good. Buttons did everything else though.
