Patrol Log: 05/09/08

I was walking outside looking for a quiet peaceful day to just relax a bit and train up on my swordsmanship when all of a sudden, I saw an orc! Yeah that's right, an orc right in the middle of Covian land! I quickly questioned him asking why he was there, He said he was a scout. I was trying to get him out of our lands since he did have a crossbow in hand when I got the order to kill him. I took one step and POOF! He was gone! He vanished right before my eyes. So of course, I checked the place out first heading off to the orc fort. The one thing I noticed was a lone boat anchored right by the passage into orc infested land. I was extremely suspicious and assumed the two events were linked somehow. Well I checked the fort and Cove but no sign of orcs. He was gone...

Sunday Parade Report: 05/04/08

After our awards and promotions segment of the parade we ran laps around the training area of the roof. We did five laps around the place as a warm-up. We did a few other exercises like running to the gates and back. Raiden checked our equipment and everyone's stuff was in Okay shape except for Celuvian who didn't have a gorget. In an effort to protect a fellow guard, Justice secretly gave him her gorget. Somehow Raiden noticed the little trick but he seemed to be Okay with it. I'm sure Celuvian got a new gorget. We then checked our bandage supplies. Out of all of us Hoagie certainly had the most, setting the record at 652 bandages.
Raiden was about to move on to the next thing when an orc came up to us and started telling us about that "Shadow war" Justice spoke of before. At least that's what I thought it said, I can't understand orcish speak very well. After it was done telling us possibly important information, it was extremely rude to the Captain and even threw its garbage in our arena! Most of us wanted to kill it but we never got the command. After some talk it was escorted out of the building into the woods.

Raiden started our training session with the task of keeping him alive while in the orc fort. The catch was that he wouldn't use his bandages or anything else used to heal. With our bandages ready we marched to the fort. In the fort, Raiden really picked the best spots to get himself killed but he remained almost unharmed the whole time receiving a scratch or two. We killed choppers, bombers, mages all kinds of orcs and two towering brutes.  I got hit by one of those brutes pretty hard! In the end Raiden was very pleased with us allowing us to keep everything we got from the orcs.  We did a good job...

Location: Cove, In front of the Tavern and Church


I just walked out of the barracks after creating my report on yesterday's patrol and was heading to the tavern to see if anyone was around. As I walked outside I saw a brigand camp right there! I knew I had to fight these fiends myself since no one was there to help, but before they noticed me, memories of what brigands had done before came back to me. I knew however if I did not fight them I would not be fulfilling my duty to Cove so I engaged them. Luckily their were only two of them and I quickly dispatched the two, but none-the-less the fact that those brigands had made their camp right outside was a definite threat to Cove. Also it is important to note that I saw brigand stomping on the plants outside our church! I killed him first...

By making this report I am asking the higher-ups in command to be aware of this new threat, it may go but it may also stay. I do not want anyone else to get hurt of have their possessions stolen by the brigands.

Patrol Log: 05/03/08

As I was having a feast in the tavern after a hard day's work and ready to go to bed, Teagan Trix informed me their would be a patrol. At first I didn't believe her but there really was a patrol going on, I got there a little late but I didn't miss too much. Well I must get to the point now. We were informed that there was an unusually large number of Ogres up by the woods of Altmere and we had to go up there ourselves to ensure they weren't coming closer to Cove. So we set out through the woods to Altmere. We found many brigand camps which are quite common up in those parts and some ettins, but not too many ogres, they must have heard we were coming and ran!  But we did notice a high population of Trolls up there which is odd. I myself am suspicious, who knows what those "things" are planning? We made it to the guard post eventually after many encounters and marched back to Cove. Back at home, we collected the gold and there was a LOT of it. Almost 10 000 pieces! After the supplies were collected Takeamada gave each of us 1000 gold pieces as a reward.

Personality: I am a determined soul focusing on making an impact in our world. I tend to do whatever I can to do what I must even if it endangers my life for I would rather die protecting someone or something I cared about, than continue to live a coward. I invoke the virtues of Valor and Honor in my daily life and strive to become stronger in those virtues.


History: My parents were known by very few, my mother was a tailor, and my father a smith. They worked hard for little pay, they could barely afford to make me and my brother, Delfer, suitable clothes as my mother worked constantly to bring in money for our food and home. My father one day, made me a sword and I snuck outside later that day and killed a cow, then using my blade I skinned it and took the hides. I returned home and showed my mother. Overjoyed, she taught my brother tailoring and he made clothes for us with the hides I brought in. All was well again and my brother learned many trade skills taught by my parents and I learned to be a fighter. We both now are independent as our parents died years ago. I believe my mother and father would be proud of us now, my brother, being an accomplished craftsmen and me, a Covian guardsmen.


Appearance Changes:

As of August 16, 2008 Delferium now has an eight centimeter scar across the left side of his neck under his ear.

As of August 21, 2008 Delferium now has severe oral damage to the left side of his face since he was smashed against a column by a Balron. Most teeth on the left side are now either missing, damaged, or have been removed.

Patrol Log: 04/29/08

Location: Covian Graveyard/Cove

We set out directly East of the Covian Barracks and headed to the graveyard. We arrived hastily only being stop by a lone troll trying to get a kill out of one of us but it didn't last long. *chuckles* We arrived at the graveyard and were greeted by one of those disgusting liches! Before I could get near it, It was dead and on the ground thanks to our fellow Covians on the patrol. We quickly cleared the entire graveyard out ending our graveyard duty. We then began marching to Cove. As we opened the silver gates we stepped proudly into our home and headed to the lighthouse. We reached the roof, and saw a Grey wolf so it was killed as to not harm any wandering civilians. We promptly cleared the Lighthouse and met outside lining up by Takeamada, thus ending the patrol a success.

The Liberation Of Mistas

  It was after Sunday's parade that Justice informed us that a friend of hers named Vein needed our help. his city had been invaded by dangerous creatures that he alone could never defeat. We had been called upon for help and all us Covians at the parade were more than willing to risk our lives to give it.
As we prepared to travel through the magical gate to a land very different from home, Mystas showed up ready to help us. Grateful for the extra help we stepped through the gate into Ilshenar.

  Upon arrival In the jungle, we made our way through the mountainous pass slaying all beasts in our way. We were particularly swarmed by imps which came one-by-one. Oh imps, whats pests! When we re-emerged into the jungle, Kas Valentine attempted to climb a tree but sure enough, was attacked by another imp, however it was quickly dispatched. We fought our way through the jungle and met up with a Chaos dragoon. It gave me a nasty kick in the head, but It wasn't that bad, just a little memory loss.


  When we made it across the bridge into frequent Juka territory, we soon greeted Vein. He was an archer dressed in barbed leather. He knew what we were there to do and he asked if he could join in the liberation of his once beautiful city. With everyone agreeing, justice allowed him in. A brave elf he was! We made our way through the city, slaying all and sparing none. In combat, a gargoyle gave me a gash in my leg. Had I been wearing my old leather armor rather than my ringmail, I surely would've died. The cut was bad, but I kept walking reluctant to give up on Mistas. After that, we made our way through the city without too much trouble. A few Dragoons and Juka's but they certainly were no match for our warriors and arcanists! After Liberating Mistas completely, we met up in the West-most corner of Mistas and celebrated our victory, as Vein left us with his gratitude. After the treacherous march back to the gate, we finally were ready to go home and so we did.

   Back at the barracks, the gold and jewels acquired were gathered up to be put into our military funds. We all celebrated our victory once more in the peaceful tranquility of Cove.
