Simone smiles with pride as she takes in the view of her new home.  It is a peaceful area and it looks so much like the house she grew up in.  She frowns and says aloud, "How ever will I entertain in this place?  Her voice echos through the empty rooms.  "I need to find a craftsmen and purchase some furniture!"  Nothing delights her more than to decorate and redecorate.  She goes up to what will someday be her bed chamber and out of her meager belongings she has brought with her lays out a long skirt.  "This will never do...What if I run into HIM!"  "I can't have him see me in this!"  She walks around her bedroom deep in thought gently biting her long tapered nail.  She plays with her hair a bit and then decides she has no other choice until she learns the craft herself.  She mutters something about missing Azalin her trusted seamstress for 10 years.  After bathing she brushes her long blonde hair to a golden shine and lets it fall in waves down her back and changes into the outfit she has decided on.  She does not possess a mirror and has to rely on her good judgement that she is presentable.  She gets her perfume bottle and removes the stopper.   The spicy, exotic smell invades her room and fills her sences.  She dabs a little in the right spots and smiles becomingly and says soflty..."I am ready as I will ever be."

She decides to walk to Cove and see if she can find the help she needs.  Several  hours later, her feet sore and her attitude to match she is exhausted.  She reaches into her bag where there is always a pen and ink and writing paper and decides a new approach.  In lovely handwriting she writes,

Citizens of Cove,
I am looking to purchase some furniture and need the services of a carpenter.

Simone Fairchild

She tacks it up on the tavern door.  She rolls her eyes thinking, they're not even going to know who I am.....Nervous she bites her lip and takes the note back down and adds this post script.

I am also looking for work as a Librarian.  If there is a need in Cove for a Librarian please contact me.  I have extensive work in the area.

She smiles and hopes for the best......Tacking the note back up she plans to stop by later and see if there has been any replies.  On her way home she passes some wild flowers and picks many to fill a vase she will set on the floor  of her empty home and tucks a few of the fragrant  buds behind her ear.  Singing softly she makes her way home again.

*Looks at the notice on the door as she carries in some supplies* Looks like Smedley will have some more work to do again.. Librarian? Not sure many of the lads would be into reading books. *Shrugs to herself and walks inside, preparing for another day.*

I'll give you a weekly payment if you teach my footslave how to read and write! There is also open jobs for the tavern, so we'll see what we can do for you.

Simone approaches the board to see if there are any available carpenters....One word stands out.  Footslave.. She quivers inwardly and says softly.  "Whatever is a footslave?"  She glances over her shoulder to see if anyone is around.   She wrinkles her eyebrows and wonders if footslaves are clean individuals.  She ponders what to do.  Before she responds to his request she decides to find out exactly what a foot... slave is.  She wanders away from the board deep in thought...no need for a librarian but plenty of need for a tavern wench!  Typical male....She laughs remembering fond days working at the Oak and Thistle.  Leading men around by the noses and enjoying every second of it...Yes, she laughs quietly to herself...perhaps I need to check out the tavern positions as well.

Its late in the evening and Simone is feeling restless for the outdoors and escape the confines of her empty space.  There is nothing she likes more than to ride like the wind with reckless abandon on Mystery her faithful horse.  Given to her as a young girl by her father on one of his many trips of "obligation" to see her.  Simone lets her hair down and shakes it free and changes into some leather leggings perfect for riding but somewhat unconventional for a Lady and walks out into the night air.  Asharru approaches immediately already used to her night time adventures.  Simone raises an eyebrow at him curiously.  Please.....she silently conveys the need to be alone.  The firm look he gives her lets her know its not going to happen.  He looks over her appearance....do you know what could happen to a woman dressed like that?  Simone rolls her eyes at him and says as she passes...there will be no one about this time of night.  Simone whispers Mysterys name and she hears him nicker in his stable.  Thomas already has him saddled and ready for her.  Mystery prances in aticipation for their ride tonight.  She mounts him and sings softly in his ear and with a great rush he takes off through the country side.  Simone feels giddy at the cold wind rushing over her.  She feels free......

Upon reaching the tavern her hair is a wild mess but she smells of the earth and wind and nature.  Her spirits are high.  She has high hopes for the response she hopes to see posted.  Her heart fills with compassion after reading a note written on behalf of Danichta of Cove.  The wheels start to turn in her mind.   Chewing her bottom lip she tries to think of a way to teach the uneducated to read but not ask alot in return from them.  She comes up with an idea immediately.  She believes herself to be a wonderful cook and thinks to just hone her skills a bit she would see if Danichta would give her some additional cooking lessons.  "Its not as though I need them," she says outloud. "I mean I can cook......." (She thinks of her most recent attempt) She clears her throat...."I just need a few tips is all," she assures herself.

With pen in hand she dips her quill and writes:

To Danichta of Cove, it would be my honor to teach those struggling in the area of reading and writing.  Please let me know a way to contact you regrading this matter.  As for a fee, (She pauses unsure what to write...it is a public message board and she wouldnt want anyone to think....she a woman....couldn't cook.)
I know how to cook but if there is a chance  you are skilled in the area of baking I could use a few recipes and perhaps we could bake something together?  (Simone's face turns a deep red...mortified at leaving this message) Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Simone Fairchild

Simone looks for Asharru in the darkness knowing he is there.  Asharru I believe its time to break out the ale we brought from Elyssia Vale.  He looks at her oddly and before he could react she was racing out of town.

Danichta crouched down in the corner of the Church, listening to the troll outside make a fuss about her having ran inside for safety. Knowing he'd give up eventually, the Serf tried to make herself as comfortable as she could on the stone floor. Looking around, Danichta saw no one in the usually empty Church and figured it was safe enough for her to take out her cards.

She took the silky bag from a pocket of her dress and smiled at the gossamer black material barely revealing the deck of cards that lay inside. Since coming to Cove, Danichta had had too little opportunity to consult her cards and had felt lost without their guidance. However, not wanting to risk being caught with them, decided to draw a single card for now.

After shuffling the deck, Danichta drew out a card and held it close in the dim light the Church offered. The card was upside-down and showed a picture of human hands outstretched, between them an ornate wand parting the clouds on the top of the card. The start of something new, a new project, but not for a few days yet it seems... I wonder what it could mean? Danichta pondered silently before putting the deck away with reverence.

Morning light brushed Danichta's face and she woke gently. A yawn and stretch later she got up from the floor where she'd spent the night. Danichta made the sign of the ankh and silently thanked the Avatar for his protection before exiting the church and making her way through Cove. Before she got too far, the Scribe she often employed came into view around the side of the barracks.

"Danichta I have news for you!" called the Scribe to her. "The Librarian has agreed to teach you to read, so long as you do some services for her in exchange, such as exchanging recipes."

"Issat so? Well, tha' I kin cert'nly do. Thank'ee miss, that was roight nice o' ye to finds me out ter tell me." Danichta pulled a few gold pieces from her pack carefully and offered them to the Scribe, "If ye 'ave the time, could ye let 'er know I be def'ntly intrested?"

The Scribe nodded gave a small bow as she pocketed the gold pieces. The Scribe left Danichta there and walked back to the tavern to leave the following note:
