Excellent work Gabriel, These points look extremely usful.. I shall lead an expedition to view them with the Scouts soon.. Then we will know where they are for the next battle.. We will be as co-ordinated as the graduates of the Jig'Fu class.

Dearest Scouts,

   The Winter uniform has been decided, and detailed in another notice on this board. Please be aware that that IS the uniform we will use.. If you are seen in any different uniforms then you will be disciplined. We don't want to look stupid and disorganized.. We are the best of the best.. Lets look it.

   Also, I have been informed of people wearing green bandanas instead of the coveted Covian Cap. If I personaly see anybody doing this in a situation that is unaccaptable then I will disipline you also..

Acceptable situations:

• Training Sessions
• Hunts in less dangerous ares
• Camping/Hiking trips

  I dont want to see people patroling in a bandana.. I want the people of the known world to see the cap.. And fear its power.

Ah.. Another fine Scout aiming high.. Just what I like to see.. Now lets see.. We need some trials for you ey?.. Well.. Whatever doesn't kill you will only make you.. More proficient at keeping me alive...

Task One:Intel for the Coming Wargames..

As you know the wargames got off to a pretty good start lastnight with a grueling battle, one where the Scouts proved their skills and merit. Though we need to keep this sterling work up.. and one issue discovered yesterday is rally points.

I want you to provide a map of Jhelom. On this map I want you to mark Five Rally Points.. These points will be memorised by us Scouts and used to quickly gather us together..

• Provide a Map in the Map Folder of Jhelom
• Provide Five Tactical Rally Points

Task Two: Battle Games of our own..

Hmm.. There is much talk of the most elite squad in the Covian army is.. Now.. We know this to be the Scouts of course, but others must learn this. I want you to organise a tournament of sorts.. Between the three squads, and the main block. There are to be at least three events and the overall winning squad will deserve the respect of all other guardsmen.

• Organise an event that pits the Squads against each other.
• Create at least three diverse events.
• At least one representative of each squad must be present.

Task Three: Prove our worth in the Hunt.

You are to lead a Scout only hunt that brings back at least Two Trophies and prove that the Scouts can take down any beast with our superior survival and tactical prowess. You may choose the trophies yourself.. But the bigger the better.

• Lead a Scout (and Scout potentials) only hunt.
• Bring back no less than Two Trophies.
• At least Three Guardsmen must join you.

Good luck friend, I am sure you will prove your worth and we shall see you getting promoted swifly.. The first task is of upmost importance and should be completed as soon as possible.

Indeed, You don't need to sign up to UOAssist to get Cartographer to work.. As long as you open your UO client through UOAssist then it will work.. Apparantly.. Hehe!

This programme will allow us to easily track each other and know where we are in battles.. which is going to prove invaluable.. Since last nights battle proved that we can take targets down with ease.. The problem was getting ourselves to the same location! Hah.

Well done Faden, for always looking for ways to better us!

At the moment, I am not going to say this is mandatory, because I know people hate downloading stuff, but we will see just how usful it is in the next battle, and if its amazing.. I might make it so.

Ive had a few made up.. Ive got mine on and its snug and warm! If you cant find me (because the uniforms are so well designed that I appear invisable) then find a civvie and get them to make you some! I should be about late tonight or early evening to dish them out to people who need them!

[Vaughn Goodwill]

The uniform we shall be adopting is Vaughn Goodwills design! Congratulations.

I feel this uniform provides better cover for a wider variety of terrains. The mountainside AND areas where the snow has turned to slushy mud. Which happens.. a lot.

IF someone can commission these uniforms to be made swiftly, that would be excelent. If not, I shall have them made up late tomorrow evening.

Hoh, These entries are looking good so far.. Practical as well as attractive.. Just how I like it.. I knew I could count on my Scouts to not only be the best in the army, but the most creative. Hoorah. One note on cloaks though is that it is impractical to wear a cloak and a quiver at the same time.. making things a bit trickey.

[The Task:]

Bah, Looks like snowfall again this year.. Seems were going t obe sticking out like sore thumbs ey?! Best get the lads and lasses ter sort that out!..

The Task:

Since the snow is going to make our uniforms stick out horridly we are going to need some winter armour. Now.. Remember, this armour needs to be warmer as well.. So think of some ways of adding that into the set up.. Dont want to be shivering when you're hiding under a holy bush for nine hours.

Place your ideas under this and the best uniform suggestion will get their uniforms made for the squad. If no-one enters, we will simply dye our uniforms a lighter colour.

Gabe, You are a magic user, correct?.. Well in that case you need to prove your worth for the Scouts. I want you to hold a Scout Training session. In this training you will go over the benefits of having a magic using Scout in the team. If you can't find or gather enough Scouts then I will allow the training to be a normal training based on the importance of magic.

• At least three other Guardsmen must attend.
• The basics of team fighting must be covered.
• Emphesis on magic tactics as a team.

TASK ONE:

The Magic Flute...

A task every Scout has gone through so far. The flute is something the Scouts use to find one another when lost or pre battle.  It is also a useful item to identify one another whilst wearing a disguise.

Retrieve the magical flute. The witch that lives in the Southern woods of Yew passed the crossroads will be able to point you in the direction of where to get it.

Conditions:
         

• This task can be done alone or with help.
• At the end you must have the flute.

TASK TWO:

Mapping a dungeon..

Ahh. Mapping.. A great past-time of the Scouts.. Bored.. Head to an un-mapped location and note what is there and give us a nice sketch of it.. Infact.. Even if you're not bored.. Do it anyway... since its part of your trials!

Conditions:

• This task can be done alone or with help.
• A detailed map must be produced. (check the map folder for inspiration)

TASK THREE:

Time for a break..

We work very hard.. All the time.. I think it is time that the Scouts get to know each other a bit better on a less work based level. I want you to host an event that relaxes the Scouts and allows us time to chat.. Something like a picnic, tavern night.. That sort of thing..

Conditions:

• Must be relaxing.
• At least two Scouts/Potential Scouts must attend. (other guardsmen may join to see how excellent the Scouts are.

Make a Map..

Aye, a relatively simple task, you must make me a map of a dungeon.. The dungeon that I want you to map for me is the Ice Dungeon. I know there are some big dragon things in there.. and some Icy Bastards too.. I want to know where they are.. and how many.. Watch for traps and points of interest too..

Place you report here and your map in the map folder.

Then you will be accepted into the Scouts.
