724  In Character Boards / In Character Board / [Report] Arcanists training in Minoc on: February 27, 2010, 12:37:23 am
Attended:
Bersi, Arcanist Cadet (leading)
Celuvian Haap, Junior Guardsman
Ilyana, Watchman
Rosamunde Sforza, Guardsman Recruit

From Knight Templars:
Waterfay
Ghiladoss Trimess
Emissariat Lucic

It was once again time to show tha' Cove has the best arcanist squad there is. We joined up with some of the Knight Templars in Minoc, as Bersi started to repeat the basics for arcanists, loik the combos Explosion with Energy Bolt afterwards. We practiced in pair against each other, as it seemed, some of our beloved allies never heard of tha'...

As every one knows, prepared arcanists can heal tha' caused damage easely by one single spell. To prevent the oponent from tha', it is important to block his ability to heal, eventually by poisoning the opponent. Though a good prepared arcanist can also cure tha' and heal afterwards in just a few seconds. Again we were paired and had to try to block our foe's healing. Two of the Templars couln't stand a chance against the Covian might and it was a peace of cake to bring 'em down.

Now it was time for a little teamwork practise. Me and Emissariat against the other two teams. When we arrived at the battlefield, Celuvian had already kissed the floor, so we threw our fire against the last ones standing - and they falled loik pawns.

Winning this round, Bersi invited for a last free-for-all. As the Templars falled again really quickly, I's started to go for Celuvian. One thing I's didn't expect though - all of a sudden, recruit Rosamunde switched her target... Me! After they teamed up, it took only a few moments 'till they had me, but knowing, tha' Rosa would follow me faster than she had thought.

I only get already about 5 hours of sleep before work... beeing in front of the GMT makes it hard to stay all the time up, and I'm surely not the only one who thinks so. If only a few events during the week are late-night, then it's no problem...
726  In Character Boards / In Character Board / Re: The Jhelom Campaign on: February 23, 2010, 10:00:52 pm
Last two weeks had been an outstanding win for Cove and the Templar Knights, though it couldn't last forever. In tha' week, Cove had been informed tha' Yew was doing suspicius things around the graveyard, so decided to march there and kick 'em out of Jhelom. Goal was to dye as many clothes, lying -inside- the graveyard. Yew already dyed 'em all, before Cove even arrived. The whole Covian troop got disorientated and we were outfought at every sign...

Loosing the graveyard itself, we were forced to fight around the houses north of Jhelom main isle. Using our Grenadiers as a bite and planning an ambush, wasn't such a good idea. The Yewish Milita acted like an angry mob, in a strong formation...

In round three, we formed as well, and this time we managed to break their formation. It seemed, when Yew looses their formation, they loose their strengh. All Covians fought hard to the last man stand, but all was invane... Yew managed to keep the graveyard...

Guardsmen rally at the barracks! Recent hunts have showed, that there is a lack of knowledge about tactical orders! So Recruits, as well higher ranked guardsmen, it's time to refresh yer minds in that case! With training afterwards.

730  In Character Boards / In Character Board / [Report] Random Violence in Covetown on: February 11, 2010, 01:41:29 am
Attended:
- Bersi, Junior Arcanist (leading)
- Torrak Keres, Grenadier Captain
- Celuvian Haap, Junior Arcanist
- Iolan Grimsditch, Watchman
- Ilyana, Watchman
- Miles Stedfast, Guardsman Recruit

What is the most enjoy for a Covian Guardsman? Roit! Senseless violence. Once again, Bersi invited us for another team work combat trainin' in Covetown.

In round one, the teams were Miles and Captain Keres, Bersi and Iolan and me, teamin' up with Celuvian. The battle was really tide, all teams seemed to be equal strong. That's probably why, everyone decided to attack Bersi...
After a long time, it ended up with a victory for me and Celuvian, as he was the last man standin'.

In round two, teams were mixed up new. This time it was Captain Keres with me, Bersi with Miles, and Celuvian with Iolan. Captain Keres fell first, as those meanis all switched their targets on him, all at once... This round was won by Celuvian and Iolan, which showed a decent art of skill.

And then in the last round, I's was teamed with Bersi, Miles with Iolan, and Celuvian with Captain Keres. Knowin'  that we were to be ganked again, we decided to watch the battle a while - We made us invisible. Ye may call it cowardly, but I's say it's an effective tactic. Still, the Captain and Celuvian found us quickly though and smashed our beautiful bodies to the floor.

735  In Character Boards / In Character Board / [Report] Joint Training at the Stonekeep on: January 30, 2010, 12:46:32 am
Attended:
From Cove:- Bersi, Junior Arcanist
- Torrak Kerres, Sergeant Grenadier
- Faden Wildheart, Regular Scout
- Percival, Junior Scout (OOC: Kal Shadowhand)
- Ilyana, Guardsman Recruit
- Sabal, Guardsman Recruit

As well as a decent number of the Yewish Militia, led by Bladius Dart, and the Templar Knights, led by Sir Gendin.

Training is very important for not getting fat! That's the reason why we do it so often. Once again, the brave troops of Cove traveled to the Stonekeep to meet up with their allies. There were three rounds, all based on strategy and teamwork.

Round One - Getting the Bags
Bladius Dart placed twenty Bagballs in the center of the crossroad, to each of the three teams was a headquarter also given. The goal was to collect as many of these bagballs and drag them to the headquarter. As soon as the round started, almost all troops stormed to the bagballs and it ended up in a slaughter.
I'm not quite sure who won this first round, altough I don't even think there was a winner. The goal was actually to collect them, because it would give an advantage to the next round.

Round Two - Defend it with your lifes!
Now, the collected bagballs were used to protect the dying tub, which decided over loosing of winning. The goal was clear: Dragging the dying tub of other teams to the own headquarter to knock them out, while protecting yeer own. The team I's was into, led by Torrak Kerres, also the smallest team, had the idea to lore the enemy near, while only Torrak and a yewish Footie were visible. After defending the tub a long time succesfully, the other Teams, especially the Templar Knights, overrunned us and the slaughter began again. As far as I's could see through the battle dust, our team had stolen the red teams tub and kept our one save.

Round Three - Deathtime
Last Round was quiet hard. It was an all versus all round on a small space, and everything was allowed, even hiding if possible. Must be some kind of yewish rule... The weaker fell already in the first seconds. And after looking back, it was maybe not such a good idea to attack the Grand Templar Gendin... Altough he needed help of other Templars, to bring a Covian down. At last, only Sabal and a yewish guy standed on their feet. It would had been a draw, but of course the yewish camerades hat to shoot at the Covian Guardsman... Talking about fairness...

A succesfull training it was, and also a chance to learn something about the strategies of our allies... Yee may never know, when yee need that knowledge...
