So this is something I have wanted to do in Cove for a while now. Wanted to see how many here were interested.

Basically what I want to do is create a "Marketplace" plot from one of my roadside Altmere plots. The idea basically being a place where BoC members can be friended and place NPC vendors. Of course these vendors. And on occasion to be used to host a market where other guilds can come and setup stalls.

The NPC vendors would of course have to be regulated a bit, I wouldn't want anyone selling artifacts and such on them. However things like Powerscrolls and SoT's would be okay. I more or less want vendors we can market to roleplayers, giving them a place they can stock up on things like Recalls, Consumables, Potions, and the such.

[Gaius Blausus AKA Victor]

It would appear two recruits have left us unannounced and have decided to take up residence in Vesper. Junior Leith Keres attempted to speak with one of them about their untimely desertion but was met with a "Leave me alone". The two culprits are...

Gaius Blausus AKA Victor- A guardsman who once went by the name Victor, Appears to have shaved and changed his name when returning, his reasoning being unknown, Is still under suspicoun of attempting to burn down The Covian church. When confronted about his desertion he simply told Junior Keres to "Leave him alone" and left via a magic spell.

Actions to be taken: This one has been nothing but trouble since he returned. Adding to his desertion possible crimes against the church he is to be arrested on sight. He is to be branded as an arcanist for his use of magic and given ten lashes for his desertion.

Palin- A rather pathetic individual, He is known to change allegiance more than his underwear. Was responsible for both desertions (Gaius' and his own). thinks himself to be a mercenary of some kind.

Actions to be taken: He is to be arrested on sight and given ten lashes for his desertion.


We shall not waste Military manpower seeking out these two pathetic individuals. However if any soldiers come across them the actions above are how they shall be dealt with. Any who get in the way of you performing your duty shall be accused of aiding and abetting a criminal, Let no one stand in your way. Be them Vesperian or Covian.

Greetings and Hello future Army Deserter! This guide here is to help you to understand what you can expect from the glorious life of an Army Deserter! Let's get right into it shall we!

Now as you know when you join The Covian Army you are accepting an Oath! What's that?! You didn't take an Oath?!  Well that's because by agreeing to wear a Covian Badge you accept the responsibilities of a Covian Soldier, That badge is your oath!

Now, Deciding to leave the army without officially requesting such is what is known as "Desertion". Since this is a how to guide, I will tell you the glorious life you have to look forward to!

• Public Humiliation- That's right! Your former comrades are perfectly welcome to say whatever they want about you!
• Pain- The Beating of a Traitor is a Covian Passtime, You will be honored to be part of it!
• Travel Options- You can go wherever you want as a Deserter! Except Cove! See Above for why!
• Freedom- You no longer have to listen to anymore orders! Except the one to put your hands up!
• Room and Board- The biggest perk of being a Deserter are the accomodations! Imagine a room all to yourself for free!

As you can see the life of a Deserter is an exciting one! And knowing what you have to expect I can leave you with one piece of advice.

DO NOT DESERT THE ARMY!!

Casting License: Allows a Civilian to cast magical spells within Cove

• Arcanist Courses: 2
• License Fee: 500 Silver
• Church Branding: A

Boat License: Allows a Civilian to dock a ship within Covian Borders.
Requirements:

• Company: Must own or be sponsored by a Covian Company
• License Fee: 100 Silver

Military Licenses:

Armor Licenses:

• Leather Armor: Recruit or Higher
• Ringmail Armor: Recruit
• Chainmail: Watchman
• Half Plate(Chainmail with plate arms and gloves): Junior or Higher
• Full Plate: Regular or Higher/ Junior Grenadier or higher

Grenadier Licenses:

• Explosives License: Allowed to use explosive potions and Conflag Potions
• Full Plate: Grenadiers are the only soldiers given a full plate license at the rank of Junior

Scout Licenses:

• Poison License: Allowed to place poison on weapons(70 poisoning required)
• Foreign Tactics License: Allowed to learn the tokunese arts of Ninjutsu.

Arcanist Licenses:

• Explosive License: Allowed to use explosive potions(100 Alchemy required)
• Foreign Magic License: Allows the use of spellweaving or Mysticism

Until posted otherwise all Covian travel into The Village of New Hope shall be disallowed except on official business or accompanied by an Officer, Whether or not you have been given a "pass" by them or not. The Aggressions towards some Covians passing through their area has become unacceptable. According to their laws Covians were to only be fined, However it would appear they are incapable of following even their own laws.

The Following situations are allowed for travel to New Hope...

• Army Mission
• Trade Business
• Direct Family Member

No other situation will allow travel into New Hope. If you for some reason have friends in New Hope, feel free to invite them to Cove instead, As no aggressions or attempts to remove them will be attempted. As Army Command is tired of making sense of the ever changing laws of New Hope this Ban on Travel will remain till otherwise reported.

I am shocked by the actions of The Watchman. I can assure you however the elf is not a wytch. However I am not pleased with the disrespect he has shown a man of the cloth. I will convene with The rest of the officers to arrange a suitable punishment and penance for these actions. We shall forego the Branding of this one. Not to overstep you of course Brother, But because his reasons for carrying the potion do check out. As myself and other officers have served beside Cal for quite a while now I can assure you, The only magic this one weilds is the Holy Magic of The Chivalrous arts. To Army Command,

This evening I was sitting in The Goblin when I heard fighting from the east. When I went to investigate I encountered Rebecca from Vesper and Hedlyn from where I am unsure. Upon questioning them on what I heard they admitted to attacking Rachael Bingo in Cove near The Arcanist's HQ. Before I could question them more they took off, as I was worried about Ms Bingo I allowed them to escape to check on her well being.

I found Ms Bingo in the Goblin, beaten and bloody. I tended to her wounds and questioned her on the whole attack. The scuffle was started by Rebecca, Hedlyn assisted her. The attack was done on Covian Soil and I await orders on how to deal with this.
