Ralshi'viar stood atop the serpents spine mountains just north of the city of britain.  The last vestiges of day creeping below the horrizon seering his eyes. The pain would be endured for even he, able to see into the deepest black, would need light to see so far. He gazed longingly at Castle blackthorn, his former home. The doors now barred, locked by Lord British's mightiest Arch-Mages. It wasn't sorrow he felt, attachment was nothing to his race. Love, compassion, pity, not emotions felt. It was that, he knew the things within that castle others did not, things of tremendous power! Stockpiles of Brimstone in the deepest dungeons, the necessary reagent in the calling of Megedo, Armageddon, Ragnarok, the ending of the world. End the world? Surly not... destroy a whole city.. most certainly. He grinned evilly as he thought of all Britain crushed. The drow Romendacil had the shard, which they used to look into other realms, to discover the secret, the incantation, the words of power that would bring the distruction. For Armageddon as the spell was called, was old and long forgotten, but now they had their spell, they simply needed the right reagents! Ol' blackthorn had kept plenty enough of it... preferring chaos over order. A human to be respected, though of course not equal to any Drow.

"All is prepared, we have the archmage. He shall weaken the locks. you shall enter scout. Retrieve samples. Provide us proof. then we move."  A simple 24 word statement, more elaborate than necessary really but it was within the limits of the sending spell.  Ralshi'viar was pleased, he would go in a night from now, retrieve the samples to push his backers i the right direction. Then, the best mages at their disposal would, with the help of other human allies lying in wait in pockets throughout the city. would  then disperse the brimstone, calling upon the power of the weave and DESTORY Britain once and for all. The humans of course did no know that their "friends" could teleport away in a blink, and Ralshi'viar planned to be a long ways away. He grinned again, and laughed we glee his work would be to easy.

A Night Later~~~

He slipped over the wall of the nearby memorial, staying within the shadows. A patrol strolled by, strolled an apt word. The guards here wern't worthy of guarding this city. The patrol passed and he quickly moved onto the bridge that led to the Castle. He caught a glimpse of the sign before the archway "Home of  the Heretic, friend of Lord British, then and forever!" "Warning Trespassers shall be hung"

He smilled, friendship? Ah the Ol' Lord Blackthorn had been clever. What might be inside his castle now? No one had entered since shortly before the comming of Minax.. and a sloppy ***** she had been.  The task at hand fool... He spoted the huge statues in the court yard, magnifecent... but so ugly as all humans invariably were. As he stepped into the courtyard, it was then that he realized his mistake. Both statues came to life fixing their unblinking eyes upon him. He quickly darted to the left into the bushes drawing his daggers. They were long and thin, Stilettos, suitable for killing people but not such as these. The first Golem thrust its halberd at him which he deftly rolled out of the way of and came up kicking the haft. The weapon, nothing more but a scaled replica of a real halberd did infact snap and he quickly rolled backwards away from the golem that was falling, off balance.
The thing hit with a crash as its arms did break off, it wouldn't be bothering him again... though the guards cetainly heard it.

The second Golem was making for him when a number of men clad in plate ran into the courtyard from the bridge. Twas their doom. The golum swung its spear sideways barreling the first rank into the second. It then charged on towards them.
Ralshi'viar, seeing his foes so busy together, quickly activated his house brooch that allowed him levitation and made his way up towards the balconey, a swift kick from the wall proppeling him over it were he gently lowered himself down. He examined the door quickly and disarmed the magical traps there with but a few words. He slipped inside quickly before the guards or the golem noticed him. the dor creeked closed behind him and he breathed a sigh of releaf. He nearly gagged. The air here smelled of death and age.
It was then that he heard the click and scrape of something hard on stone, then, a large doglike face came into the room, bathed in moonlight as it was from the spares windows. The face was rotted the, eyes a cruel red, and wel this was no dog, nor any wolf that he had ever seen. This beasts skull had 7 horns that he could see, 4 protruding from under the jaw and the other three comming from just above the yes and off the snout. Drool hit the floor and began to sizzle. As it stalked int othe room more, the hair on his back bristled... not hair but spines. dripping what might be poison. Run.... run its the only thing to do!!

And run he did, straight for the book case, luck had been on his side. He turned the sconce and darted in before the beast could muster its legs to move, but once in motion it came on like a mustang. Ralshi'viar dove under a low beam then purposly tripped the  trap there. As this beast barrled into the beam it cracked and splintered and the thing kept comming, but the wall of spikes that met it was not pleasing and did its job effectivly. Ralsh just ran on hopping it had worked, he had to get that brimstone and be gone and quickly. He prayed there wernt more of those fel thigns down here.

He had expected human guards, and traps certainly, but undead and strange monstrosities... not in all the nine hells.

(Reposted this as a new topic as it is technically the next chapter, origionaly put it up in the old post.. realized that might make people not realize new material had been added.)

It's a tad too short for me to make up my mind really. Double or triple the length, then I can get a proper impression.
