It was just after Nicholi's training, and we were all feeling a little energetic. The newest recruit, Jessica, had suggested a sentry at the northern outpost. We arrived quickly, and I had Recruit Jessica cut wood, as Watchman Starkad gathered hides. I set myself to constructing crates, which Recruit Jessica then arranged.

Soon after, Morgar arrived, and together, we faught off a brigand attack! This was followed by the arrival of Cailin and Hrothgar, and a well earned feast.

Leso Varen was carefully polishing the bar. The thud of the door signalled the arrival of a customer! Looking up, Varen forced a smile to greet the man.

"What'll it be?"

The red haired man plonked onto a stool. "Do you know rulk?"

Taking instructions, Varen mixed the drink and served it to him, pocketing the change happily.

He smiled. It seemed luck was on his side, as the guardsman had not recognised him.

"Mr Valentine, isn't it? I have something you might be interested in."

The red haired one tilted his head questioningly.

"But I'm not a charity, Mr Valentine. If I give it to you, I'll need you to remember it." He set a gift wrapped box on the table. Opening the box, he turned it towards the red haired guardsman, who looked inside.

"Where did this come from?" he asked, a suspicious tone to his voice.

"Oh, just something I found" came the not too convincing reply.

"Is this gift going to cost me?"

"No, no. Suffice to say, Mr Valentine, I remembered you."

As Celuvian has pointed out, the EMs are taking applications for people to recieve a town recognition banner type thing. I'm sure you all agree that this is totally awesome.

However, despite the command team's stunning good looks and athletic ability, we have the combined artistic skill of a startled marmot in a drawstring bag.

Because of this, we will be offering a bunch of cool stuff to whoever can design the best banner. The exact nature of these prizes are yet to be determined, but the chance to be the one to have designed the banner is pretty cool already, no?

Community Size and Allegiance
If you have a player run town or community of at least four houses you will be able to apply for town recognition and status using the following criteria:
4: Hamlet Banner
5-11:  Village Banner
12-17: Town Banner
18+: City Banner

From these guidelines, I assume we'll probably be going for the village or town banner.

They've provided the following pictures as examples of how big and flashy the banner should be. The second and third pictures are examples for Village and Town.

Your competition entry must include a picture of the banner, as well as the Inside UO numbers of the components used.

Something exciting happens in real life, and you think "I can't wait to tell Torrak about this!"
