AFTER-ACTION REPORT First Engagement: Our initial contact with the enemy took place at the fortifications at the front gate of the Sultan's Palace. In this engagement, our Yewish allies were absent as they were occupied with securing and clearing the interior of the palace. The Vesperians advanced upon the barricade, attempting to break through to our lines, but concentrated fire from Covian archers and mages took a heavy toll. Though the Vesperians attempted to clear the barricades with grenades and firebombs, the Grenadiers' heater shields held them in good stead as they endured the barrage, then returned the volley tenfold. As the enemy's resolve wavered, the Arcanists began to skirmish outside the walls, and Senior Grenadier Keres ordered a sortie that routed the first wave of Vesperians. Second Engagement: Having borne the brunt of the first assault, the Baron's Own were withdrawn to the palace's main doors to rest, while the Yewish contingent took their place in line. However, whether by sorcery or secret passage, the Vesperian assault came from within the palace, and the Grenadiers again found themselves engaging the main body of the Vesperian second wave. The Grenadiers held their ground, and with the arrival of the Arcanists and Core Division, the Vesperians were again routed. During this engagement, Junior Sheriam Palmer and Yewish Footman Art Imhab distinguished themselves by holding the barricade against Vesperian Skirmishers who sought to take advantage of the distraction to breach the gates. Third Engagement: In keeping with the agreed rotation of forces, the Grenadiers rejoined the line while the Arcanists and most of the Core Division retired to the interior of the Palace grounds to rest and guard against any further flanking maneuvers by the Vesperians. The front gates were again tested, as the Grenadiers and remaining Yewish came under sustained assault, and Vesper finally breached the barricade. Their victory was short-lived however, as Senior Grenadier Keres again ordered a charge, and the last of the Vesperian forces were put to flight, leaving the allied forces in possession of the battlefield.
CITATIONS FOR MERITORIOUS CONDUCT Junior Sheriam Palmer, who, aided only by a Footman, held the barricade against the Vesperian skirmishers during the second engagement. Corporal Elizabeth Martin, who commanded the Arcane Company with distinction during the first two engagements, successfully thwarting an attempt by Vesperian wytches to bypass the palace defenses through foul sorcery. Senior Tiberius Kane, whose leadership and skill at arms have been instrumental in the string of victories the Baronship's forces have enjoyed thusfar.

Guardsman Boards / Light Company Board / [Report] Supply Caches

Logistical Support Operation in Covianshire Leading: Leith Keres, Scout Corporal Attending: Leanne Melior, Regular Scout Vaughn Goodwill, Junior Scout Aralin Eroecia, Watchman Two weeks ago, I commissioned the assembly of ten Supply Caches by the citizenry. The order was filled to an exemplary standard by Mr. Dwral Nahlig, and the caches were allowed to sit exposed to the elements outside the barracks to ensure they were watertight and to weather the otherwise pristine exteriors. I am pleased to say that all ten caches held up against the weather, and kept their contents in good condition. Tonight I assembled a small squad of Scouts to distribute these caches throughout Covianshire. To ensure that the hiding spots were suitable, I had rotating teams of two hide the caches, while the other searched for them. The first cache found was relocated to a better hiding spot, and so on and so forth until only three remained. These three we hid in the cave networks of Covetous and Avaricia. The goal is that these caches will provide supplies to Scouts operating far afield in the event of an emergency, and allow for sustained operations in the more remote areas of Covianshire and Avaricia. I hope to replicate this tactic on the marches with Britain and Yew as well, and I have already commissioned the Light Company to map Nujelm for a similar purpose. I am pleased to report that Light Company operations on the borders with Vesper have been made logistically sound by this operation, and that we may now commence operations deeper in enemy territory without fear of running short on supplies. *Signed* Leith Keres, Scout Corporal [Those present may count this as EITHER a Duty or a Training for the purposes of Promotion.]

Citizens of Cove,
On behalf of the Scouts, I am placing an order for 10 supply caches, each containing the following:- 2 Survival Kits
- Basic Medical Supplies
- 100 Bolts and 100 Arrows
- Rations to last 2 guardsmen up to 3 days
It is requested that these caches be housed in a sturdy but discrete container, and that said containers be painted green to blend in with the environments they will be concealed in. I have been authorized to pay 2 Shillings Per Cache, and additional compensation may be awarded for particularly elaborate or high-quality caches.
Thank you for your cooperation.

[Copies of this letter are delivered to the desks of the Commander, and Captain, and a copy is stored in the Light Company headquarters.] Sirs,
At the end of my guard shift in the cells this evening, I was witness to an incident that bears reporting. Hearing footsteps on the stairs, I sought the concealing cover of some nearby furniture. Within moments, a strange woman appeared in the room, followed shortly by Cadet Melior, who demanded that she identify herself and vacate the premises. I played a low note on my standard-issue flute to alert the Cadet to my presence, then readied my crossbow to provide covering fire if necessary. When the intruder failed to comply with orders, the Cadet readied an arrow, and the intruder drew a dagger and charged forward. I loosed a bolt, seriously wounding the assailant, and she fled upstairs. I quickly verified the Cadet's wellbeing, then alerted the guards loitering outside that a search of the building needed to be conducted, and all exits guarded.
In this task, Junior Scout Eben Roichar performed admirably, and the intruder was quickly located. After a search, which revealed a poisoned dagger, the intruder was ejected from both the barracks and Covian territory at large via a moongate to a randomly selected remote location. We were unable to establish motive or identity - the suspect never spoke a word.
Guardsmen involved: 1. Officer Cadet Leanne Melior, 2nd Light Company 2. Regular Scout Leith Keres, 2nd Light Company 3. Junior Scout Eben Roichar, 2nd Light Company 4. Junior Scout Garand, 2nd Light Company 5. Watchman Abel Nightroad, Core Division
