Mischief in Yew

Following events take place on:
15th of November
Location:
Yew Area

Commanding Officer:Eve, Grenadier Corporal
Guardsmen Attending:
- Ed, Guardsman Recruit
- Belorion, Guardsman Recruit
- Hoagie, Dragoon Sergeant
- Celuvian Haap, Watchman

Overview
Due recent events, having Benjamin Von Richter assaulted in Yewian Territory, permission had been asked to find this perpetrator and bring them to justice.

Cove
Thus we gathered in front of the barracks, with Eve
briefing us about the situation we prepared for the journey to Yew.
We took a long stroll through the woods, rushing towards the Moongate of Minoc. Encountering several minor creeps on the way that proved of no danger to us, we arrived to the moongate.
No matter how many times you see one, it never seizes to amaze one.
Staring and it's magical blue glow and stepping through, we arrived to Yew.

Yew
Shortly after arriving to Yew, a pigeon arrived bringing a message to Belorion, it was obviously of some importance as he had to leave on private matters.
Taking a walk towards the Stonekeep, we got briefly lost in the woods, but soon we found the trail again and were safely on our way to the predetermined destination.

The second we set our sights on the town, we saw a hostile person in green armors, chasing down the road someone innocent, with slight hesitation we ran after them, but were not able to find anyone, they had gone as fast as they came.

We asked around the town from people and guards if they had seen person fulfilling the description given to us. No one seemed to know.
After a while, as we were just about to head to investigate the farms, the man in green armors showed in front of us again, instantly we ran after him, yet he managed to kill off one innocent person.
We ran after him in the woods for some while, but suddenly he disappeared and we had little chance of finding him.

Asking from the guardsmen in the vicinity, they said they'd been having some problems with bandits lately.
As we set out again for our task at hand, we requested for some additional troops from guardsmen, to help in our search, but they were too busy dealing with their own matters at that time.

Farms
So we set out with our own small group to the small farms in north, towards the yew abbey.
There we met a farmer lady, who after recognizing the man in the sketch, pointed out to one of the houses.
We rushed in the house, at first it seemed to be ordinary, but as soon we entered the backroom of the house, we encountered something horrible...

The room was filled with stench of alcohol, it seemed like the room had not been cleaned for long while... and in the corner the worst of it.
The man described, was sitting there in the corner, clothes looked like they'd been soaked in mud, hair never been washed and weary eyes and obviously a bottle of ale in hand.

I stood guard at the door, making sure there was little chance of escaping the room while the others went in and interrogated him.
No matter how many times they asked for his name, the only name he gave was Tom... Tom.. yet we do not believe that was his real name.
Suddenly he drew a knife from his pocket and tried to threaten us with it, but a knife is not much of a threat to trained plated soldiers.
Suddenly he stepped towards Hoagie and started calling him Bladius Dart.
Who that was we did not know.

Suddenly, the man stepped back against the wall, put the knife on his own throat and threatened to take his own life if we did not leave.
We had little choice, we could not let the perpetrator roam free, as we tried to seize him from cuttin' his own throat, sadly we were too slow and he succeeded doing so.
We tried to stop the bleeding, bandaging his throat, but we were too late, he was lost to the darkness.

Little we had left to do, thus Hoagie grabbed the body on his shoulder, carrying him back all the way to the stonekeep, leaving behind a trail of blood within' the forest.

Back to Stonekeep
In the stonekeep, we met with Caden D'Gar.
Leaving the body on the table of the stonekeep, Caden asked us some questions regarding the events that took place in the house when we tried to seize the perpetrator. All the questions were asked truthfully and he did not seem to think otherwise.
We mentioned the name Bladius Dart to him and he said he would have his guard check in to it.
Afterwards we were dismissed, Eve staying behind to chat with Caden we headed back to the Barracks, just to find ourselves in line for yet another task, but that is a story for the next time.

Assault on the Orc Fortress

Following events take place on:
15th of November
Location:
Cove vicinity

Commanding Officer:: Hoagie, Dragoon Sergeant
Guardsmen attending:
- Ed, Guardsman Recruit
- Belorion, Guardsman Recruit
- Celuvian Haap, Watchman

Loitering around the barracks is not a life for soldier, with that in mind Hoagis decided to gather up all the people around and do something meaningfull. As we had some spare time before the next mission, Hoagis briefed us shortly and led us towards the Orc Fortress South-West from Cove.

Running and racing towards the dreaded fortress some of us got separated, but eventually everyone met at the destination.

With only minimal resistance, Hoagis and Cel pushed onwards further inside the fortress with the mages behind healing and tossing occasional blasts of fire towards the hostiles.
Orcs within the fortress were of no challenge and we laid them down with no effort,
until we confronted Orc Brutes, at first it was only one and soon it was two.
They seemed bit more experienced it the combat and proved of some challenged, but with working teamplay they were defeated soon after.

Having looted enough gold fer the day, we decided to take our leave, leaving behind a massive trail of chaos. With the fortress exit blocked by mages temporaly after passing it, we were able leave in peace with no trouble. No harm came to any member of the assault group and the coffers gained a notable amount of gold.
