1  In Character Boards / In Character Board / Report: Dealing with Vermin! on: March 15, 2009, 05:33:50 pm
Led by: Pippa Reed, Mercenary Recruit

Attended by:
Torrak Keres, Company Skirmisher
Leander Le Blanc, Mercenary Recruit
Raven, Company Skirmisher
Garrison Hawke, Mercenary Recruit
Faden Wildheart, Mercenary
Aliryl Trefynwyd, Mercenary Recruit

Total Loot:
Gold – 41,029 (All to the coffers!)
Writings for Doc – 7
Other various resources.

On the 13th of March, it was a most lucky day!  There were enough people about to visit the Ratmen at the mine's in Ilshenar.  You see, the good Doc asked if we could help him find some clues or writings from the Ratmen.  He also asked that we gather resources for the Company so that everything was stocked and prepared for an upcoming expedition!

Away we went to visit the vermin filth.  We encountered some brigands along the way but we dealt with them sufficiently, and once we arrived, it did not take too long to find what we needed.  They sent out those who speak their fancy words, archers and those that prefer to be up in your face.  However, it was an easy fight and we began to be burdened with our finds.  We returned to Cove with whatever we could carry.

I have attached some sketches of our mission!

Everyone did an excellent job on this little visit.  We also left a clear message to those Ratmen:

Don't mess with Cove, and your little cousins will continue to be dealt with!

There's other places too but I think gamespot works well enough for the most part.  It'll be a little slow though. >.>
3  In Character Boards / In Character Board / Report: The Elusive Golden Balron on: March 01, 2009, 01:56:55 am
Led by:
Abigail Keres, Mercenary Recruit

Attended by:
Abigail Keres, Mercenary Recruit
Hoagie, Mercenary Sergeant
Marcus Kobra, Company Medic
Reno Montresor, Mercenary Recruit
Me’an Silen, Mercenary Recruit
Celuvian Haap, Mercenary Recruit

On the 28th of February I found myself walking right into Abigail Keres and a line of Mercenaries.  Immediately I joined the line so she did not yell at me, only to discover we would be traveling to the dungeon Blood.  This was in hopes of slaying a Golden Balron.

We first visited the Shrine of Sacrifice in Ilshenar where we learned the Arkay Maneuver.  Then it was a nice spring promenade from the Shrine of Spirituality to Blood where we avoided the mischievous pixies and instead fought the imps and skeletons.  Once inside we huddled in a corner with Abigail and Reno standing in back and Hoagie, Marcus and me in the front with our shields at the ready.  The archer elf, Me’an, was sent to scout and lure the horrible creatures in our general direction.

The first we fought was a Golden Blood Elemental, and the elf gathered some of the blood into a vial.  Then a demon that fell to the floor in a precarious position as well as some blood elementals.  It was during that time we were joined by Haap.  Eventually we slay two balrons both of which were not gold in color.

With the use of the Arkay Maneuver, we were able to defeat each creature the elf lured.  The Arcanists had fun slinging their spells whilst the rest of us used our shields to protect them.  Once supplies began to run low we left the dungeon and frolicked our way past the shiny creatures on our way back to the shrine.

Attached are some sketches of our endeavor:

Despite never seeing a Golden Balron, we did return with plenty of coins and a chest to show for our effort.
