If any of you are using the enhanced client. You can use a regular dye tub to choose a color which allows you to Target something that's dyed and copy that color to the dye tub. This works as long as it's a color that the dye tub can produce.

Last I checked a few guilds had issues with rp'ers using Vent/Skype during PvP. More or less because it does give the vent side a bit of an advantage over those who aren't using it.

I'd say if it's going to be used it should be more for casual chatting, a way of actually keeping GC clear for once.

So as many of you have noticed I have not been online in about... 2 weeks. Well this is because I have no internet access, mixed with the fact I cannot afford UO at the moment. So for the time being I am afraid this is goodbye, Once I get thing straight I may come back but by that time I may not have the desire to play UO anymore.

What is it?
The Covian Savings and Loan(S&L), Are the company in Cove who handle the economy within Cove. The Office controls the flow of Silver within the town. Offering Citizens and Soldiers alike the option of keeping their silver in accounts. This allows Covians to travel without having to keep Silver on them at all times and also makes sales within Cove much easier.

How do I use it?
In order to setup an account a citizen needs only contact The S&L Officer who will then ask for a deposit to open the account. The accounts will not be touched by The Office and will have no fees. The account holder can then use his account to make payments instead of having to carry around Silver all the time, Through the use of Promissory Notes.

What is a Promissory Note?
A Promissory note is simple a piece of paper with the amount owed and the account holder's name written on it.(a post under The Savings and Loan "Payment" thread). If the person being paid also holds an account then the silver will be transferred over as soon as possible, Otherwise the paid individual will have to wait to meet with The S&L Officer in order to receive their Silver.

Do I have to have an account?
No you do not, However having one will allow you to make and receive Payments much quicker.

Can I write a note for more than I actually have?
You can, However putting your account in the negative will mean you Owe The Savings and Loan silver. The S&L Officer will then do whatever he can in his power to collect the debt and may even request interest.

The Basics:
This is a guide to assist you in properly pricing sales and payments in Silver. Gold is abundant and far from rare where as Silver is much harder to come by. This makes Silver a precious metal and therefore worth more than Gold.

Gold to Silver Conversion:
An Easy way to look at this is the following....

1 Silver = 100 Gold

This is not an exact conversion and this does not mean you can trade in gold for silver. But this will assist you in pricing and paying others. An example would be if you sold someone a suit of armor. In gold you may charge them around 5,000 for the suit. However in Silver you would charge them somewhere from 200-500.

• Suit of Armor: 400 Silver
• Weapons: 20 Silver
• Drinks: 1-10 Silver
• Food: 1-20 Silver
• Potions: 5-10 Silver Per
• Kegs of Potions: 50-100 Silver

Resources

• Ingots: 1-3 Silver per 5 ingots
• Leather: 1-3 Silver per 5 pieces
• Wood: 1 Silver per 10 boards
• Reagents: 1 Silver per 10 reagents

Jobs

• Soldiers: 30 Silver per week
• Goblin Employee: 10 Silver per Week
• Sailors: 20 Silver per week

Please note these are just reccomended prices and are in no way set in stone. Players can charge whatever they want in the end and it's up to the buyer to accept those rates.

Getting Paid:
As a Citizen you will not be earning any weekly payment of silver unless you have a job. This is the benefit of being a Soldier in Cove as you will receive a weekly paycheck, However Citizens have a higher possibility of earning more Silver from sales.

The Covian Savings and Loan Office:
Covians will be given the option of putting their silver into The Savings and Loan Office. This will allow them to keep their Silver somewhere safe instead of having to carry it around all the time. This also allows citizens to make payments in the form of Promisary Notes. The use of such are as follows....

If a Citizen has Silver in their S&L account they can simply write out a payment on a piece of paper and hand it to whomever they are paying. The person being paid can then take this note to  The Savings and Loan Officer who will either transfer these funds to the person or pay them the ammount owed, Deducting if from the other person's account balance.

Please note all Balances and Accounts will be monitored by The S&L Officer. If a person uses more silver then their account holds they will then be put in debt of The S&L Office, Who under law will attempt to collect this debt in any way possible.
