1  OOC Boards / OOC Board / Re: The Tracking Skill, Some respectful How To's on: December 16, 2009, 09:57:46 pm
Those are all good ideas Khaelieth, the only problem lies in trust.  Trust for the people around you to behave accordingly and not tag read.   To not instantly know who you are and where you are from and where you are.

I mean a twig breaking, could be anything right?  An animal, a monster, a person.  The first being the most likely in the woodlands.  I honestly think it comes down to the fact that there are -many- people who just don't like to be on the losing end of things, and thus cut corners in order to shift the situation in their favour.  In either role I might add.

These are the same sort of people who whine endlessly after a long battle, or tag read, or use ooc info even if it is not deliberate, or use rank or alts or skills such as stealthing abusively.  There are just always going to be people who absolutely hate to lose.  That is where the trust comes in, and generally it isn't usually there.

I hate to be a negative Nancy, but its just bound to happen.  I guess the best answer or best way around all this, is to be an example, and hope others follow suit, as well as have defined guidelines.

No I guess it depends.  The fella I helped had tons of stuff and we ended up with easily 20 chests, and 3 other containers.  He had alot of stuff!

As I told you before, I once helped someone organize his house and it took us together 3 hours to do his entire house.

I can tell you the easiest way, imho, is getting 10/12 bags, and coloring them all different colors.

You then use each color for a certain category.

For instance-

Rares
Clothing
Armor RP
Armor (Non RP)
Weapons RP
Weapons (Non RP)
Furniture
Magic items (regs, spellbooks, rune books ect)
Bulk item resources (wood, cloth ect)

.. just for starters.

Then, just chests you can stack, and engrave them for what they are.

It makes it go a lot faster honestly.  Smiley

To Whom it may concern,

Today I was blessed to have the Commander aid me personally in the task of collecting 10,000 gold coins for the Baronship of Cove, an act that also is vital in my promotion to Watchwoman.  I hope the following report and sketches are satisfactory.

I had collected roughly 4,614 gold coins by dispatching random Orcs that had found their way along the narrow patch of land between the town and their fort some few days ago.  I had even had a lengthy quarrel of sorts with a very large Orc who would seemingly pick up other Orcs nearby and hurl them in my direction!  In the end the large Orc fell, as did his orcish ammunition.

The Commander today informed me that I was to collect a total of 10,000 gold coins and offered to come along.  I fear my singing, beloved holiday songs to warm thy heart, had made him worry for me in some sort.  Sanity speaking I assume as I heard the word "nuts" escape his mouth.  I do hope he does not (or on the off-chance this report goes to the Commander, I do hope you do not) think me insane.

I opened a portal to Despise, and we went about ridding the world of foul creatures left and right!  Ettins, and Trolls, Elementals made of stone and even Ogres, none were spared from our Covian wrath.

We even had the chance to strike down one of the larger Ogres, rather easily as he stood dumbly awaiting death, without any struggle at all.

It was concluded he was of Vesperian origin.  Clearly.

The following are my sketches.  In all, there was 10,024 gold coins added to the coffers.

In trust,

I'm thankful Ive already bought the majority of my tiny person's Christmas' presents already, and thus will not have to rush rush rush or figure out 2 weeks until Christmas there just isn't enough money.  In fact, after an on-line order I am gonna place today, I will be all but done (with exception to my fella) and maybe a few more for that tiny human I have running about..
10  OOC Boards / OOC Board / Re: HUH??? Wow. Thanksgiving origions...twisted on: November 20, 2009, 07:51:01 pm
That is what thanksgiving is for!

Watch the Macy's parade.  Cook loads of food noone could possibly consume in one sitting/go to home of relative.  Eat lots.  Watch American football.  Pass out and have enough food to feed you for the next week in leftovers.  *nodnod*  You do not have to do all of that stuff, as I don't do those all but I think they are pretty standard.

The Thanksgiving Wiki just plain sucks.  I thought the same thing when I read it, religious?  hah!  It was to celebrate a good harvest, its changed days over the years, it didn't occur originally on the day its now celebrated, yada yada.

Its the start of the holiday season wooo!

You basically have a big feast at your dinner table! People generally eat things like turkey, stuffing, scout potatoes, cranberries! Mmmmm!!

What in the world is scout potatoes?!  I'm american and I've never heard of such!

(and you forgot pumpkin pie.. tsk!)

I've numerous times wished that there were rl emotes.  Communicating would be so much easier.  No longer wonder to what degree angry wise your partner/friend/whoever is, a handy dandy emote could clear that up instantly!
13  OOC Boards / OOC Board / Re: WARNING EVERYONE, WATCH WHEN YOU GO AFK! on: November 09, 2009, 04:46:18 pm
Alright this is going to sound odd but!

I was hidden by the barracks one night, and I was watching a training that was taking place on the roof.  I think it was Elizabeth Martin who died fighting Demarian.... and I'm sitting there and I see the emote of a headless looting a corpse.

Obviously there wasn't a headless on the roof, but it looted her from the ground and took her reg wooden box thingy.  I didn't even see the headless right in the immediate area.   It was slain and low and behold, it was on the headless.

So maybe somehow that is what happened if other guilds cant loot us?
