Okay, well if they are removing the 2d client Grazgorn will be away about as much he has been these last 8 months. No return for me then I guess. When I logged on I had almost forgotten how to control my old character. UO will on the other hand always be remembered as the best mmorpg experience of all time in my opinion. Cuz RP owns, and when it comes to that there can only be one king on the hill!

I was wondering, I snapped up the news of two week free time in UO during the 10th year anniversary. BUT I'd like to try out the new client, I saw it could be downloaded through the UO page, BUT (another one) the DL speed sucks and it will take approx 20-35 hours to get it down. Couldn't find a torrent either. So it comes down to buying it then. Which I have no plan of doing. Since I probably will play for like 2 days and then be gone again?

So basically, is it worth spending money on? Has the community been revived with KR or is it even worse. More players or less? Leave your thoughts here

Until then I will just let the DL continue, but after 10 minutes it is still at 0%, yay!

Quite naturally I won't be around. No surprise there as I haven't been around for a while now, but just so you know, I will be away for another half year this time.

When I return perhaps Kingdom Reborn has been released and I might return, we'll see. To be honest, UO has become rather dull, the main reason to why I'm not around much anymore (and that in turn also explains why I am still a watchman after like 1-1,5 year in Cove). There was a time in UO when there were loooots and lots of people around everywhere! Perhaps Kingdom Reborn will attract more players, although I am very sure that will not be the case. Just look at the salestatistics for WoW:BC, that says it all.

BUT, Grazgorn got his house destroyed and himself kidnapped(for you who read that thread, if not the name of it is "the fall of Grazgorn" so perhaps there will be a explanation to why and who, when I return...

Grazgorn was inside his lumbermill, on the second floor, attending business, when he suddenly heard someone knocking on his door. He climbed down the ladder and went out to see who it might be. Usually noone disturbed him at such a late hour...
He got surprised to see that noone was there, he quickly went inside to get his helmet and axe... Something was amiss, of that he was certain.

He then walked outside again checking the corners of his lumbermill, when he suddenly noticed something by the wall, but by then, it was too late...

A large explosion destroyed his lumbermill and tossed Grazgorn into the snow.

Grazgorn were unconcious, so he never noticed that someone came out of the woods dragging his lifeless body away...

Not really! But I'm going abroad and won't be playing for quite a while. So I would like someone to take care of my lumbermill during my abscence, otherwise it will decay, and everything with it...

Yeah, I don't like coloured weps either.

On the other hand, one thing that should be forbidden is altering your uniform!

You are given for example shadow platemail arms, and then you decide, you make some suuupergood valorite platemail arms and colours them in a shadow hue (tokuno pigments). And there! 70 in all resistances!

I've seen it within BoC and frankly, I don't like it... You are given an armour because you are meant to wear it, not to put it away and make your own überplatemailset.

So I think there should be a law about that!

But really that skill confidence isn't as good as you could think it is... IT claims to get life and stamina back for every block once activated... I noticed the life goes up at first but it isn't very much life per block really. And for the stamina haven't really checked...

So bushido altogether seems quite unnecessary since lightning attack (which kick ass) isn't allowed in the rpworld. But Kazuo, you might have more advice on how to use bushido effectively, if possible at all

I've added resist spells, read on how to raise it as a mage, but got any other tips or tricks there, cause I am a necromancer and can't do the way mages do.

And for vampiric embrace, it isn't allowed in rp-parts either so lets forget about that one too shall we

Also my characther is without a stat scroll, so I've locked strength at 80, my mana is currently at 65 (and I am not an elf) the rest is for dex I think... Until I can come up with something better.

And if I'm going to listen to Erik I should exchange swords for macing... Then I got a powerful character that can take anyone, and with some tweaking I am unbeatable?

Anyhow let's have some advice on ol' Grazgorn. Noticed I got beat seriously by dragoons (heavy armour mace/parry). I guess with my kind of armour they got my head on a silverplate. But I thought I'd ask away about him anyways. He might need improvement!

So this is what Grazgorn's template looks like:

I think that is more clever. Also, got any good ways to fight in, I use hatchet for speed and battle axe for special moves... Any advice on how to improve my fighting strategies? I think taking out a mages(harder than archers since I don't have resist spells) and archers is quite easy using this template. But against someone with a shield... heck! So any advice on that would be welcome!
