Is darkfall anygood? Iv wanted to try it since before its releace but they dont have a free trial and I wasnt accepted into the beta. I dont fancy shelling out the cash for a game that could be horrible. *cough* age of conan *cough*

I'm sure there will be a few games with destructible environment coming but the problem with that on multilayer games is that it everything in the game world would just be obliterated by the players. There needs to be a good balance of destructible and indestructible content or some sort of server reset that doesn't take over from the rp or maybe an in game mechanic that lets players rebuild. I think the last point  would probably lead to some massive griefer problems say if something took 2 hours to make but only 2 seconds to destroy.

I don't know alot about other MMOs but games like darkfall have player run cities that are constantly contested by other guilds or groups.  I have never played the game so I'm not sure if the towns are accessible to outsiders from the guild who controlls it but i know they are attacked and recaptured and change due to the new owners design.  Also the pvp system is based on skills like UO rather than levels like....every other mmo.

Age of Conan also has a similar system but i hear the game isn't very good..

Following a scout training session i was captured and arrested by my fellow squad members. It seems kal/kelban had been blabbing and they saw this as their chance to "bring me down".

I managed to make it seem like i was just a petty bouncer for kiran and that i do the job out of some old loyalty. I think i will get away with a light punishment.

for now i think it is best if i lay low for a while. To many people are watching me. Oh and kas was also mentioned by them, he should watch his back.

I have completed my evaluation on the potential brother Edward.

Last night I approached him in a mask and ordered him to meet me in a secluded spot in yew next to abbywood. There i had prepared a final test of his will and allegiance to the brotherhood. I had caught a local farmer and tied him to a tree and jabbed a knife into the wood above his head.
I told Edward to kill this unarmed, helpless man in cold blood.  This would prove once and for all he had what it took to be in the brotherhood. The ruthlessness, the drive, the ability to follow every order without question.

Edward hesitated with the dagger in his hand at first, but after a surge of confidence he managed to bury the blade into the mans heart and slice his throat with a wimper from both men.

After the deed was done we left the man hanging limply from the tree and made our way to swaggers where i showed hi the right place to file away reports.

Edward will make a fine addition to our group. I have watched him turn from a fat mess to...a fat mess...who's a crack shot with a crossbow!

I have made contact with Edward. He seemed very scared of me but due to his current state that wasn't a surprise. He was interested in joining us but i think a test of his loyalty will be needed before we tell him anything yet.

By loyalty i mean does he keep his mouth shut when theres gold involved.
