Leader: Demarian Tel'var (Senior Grenadier) Soldiers Present: Dias Redd (Guardsman Recruit) Dimman (Watchman)
After a long evening of standing guard outside the barracks, Myself and Watchman Dimman were approached by Grenadier Demarian, who suggested we go on a patrol of the graveyard and sweep the deadies that were around. Once we arrived at the graveyard, the place was crawling with evil, as usual, so we did a quick sweep and burned, slashed, and bashed our way through the area. After seeing nothing out of the ordinary in the graveyard, we decided to burn our way out and head back to the barracks to count our findings, which wasnt much. After splitting up the findings equally, we were dismissed. Overall, it was a very ordinary sweep of the graveyard with no strange happenings.

Leader: Derek Milako II (Junior Grenadier) Soldiers present: Frances De Thorpe (Guardsman Recruit) Dias Redd (Guardsman Recruit)
Early today, after standing around the barracks for some time, Junior Grenadier Milako decided to get a patrol done to add to his list of things to do for a promotion. After waiting a moment for recruits to arrive, we were off. First we headed a bit north to a small peninsula Milako called Llama hill or something, after burning a Troll with my flames we stood on the small hill and enjoyed the chilly sea breeze. After a good minute of enjoying the beautiful atmosphere, we headed to town. The town was slightly busy, so we pushed past the crowd up to the lighthouse, which was clear. We than headed to the armory to make sure no illegal weapons were being sold on the black market, and than headed back to the barracks. It was a short, but necessary patrol, and Junior Grenadier Milako proved a competent leader.

Leader: Conan Darkmoon (Junior Guardsman) Soldiers present: Dias Redd (Guardsman Recruit) Benedict Gideon (Guardsman Recruit) Kyte (Watchman)
Today we had an excellent recruit cadre run by the Junior Guardsman Conan Darkmoon. Darkmoon started out by drilling us recruits with the basic formations (such as tracker, box, etc.). After we proved our competence in the formation section, Guardsman Darkmoon proceeded to drill us with targeting practice, as we were told to attack Watchman Kyte with our fists. Although we didnt actually hit the watchman, Darkmoon had said we had done a good job and tossed us all apples for the good work. After a few questions, such as how to address a superior officer, we were all dismissed. Captain Hoagie was also present during the Cadre and watched from outside the ring. After the Cadre we all gave our support to the Guardsman who did an excellent job of drilling us recruits. Conan Darkmoon is truly worthy for a promotion.

Patrol of the Covian Shire
Leader: Jack Sinist (Junior Guardsman)
Soldiers present: Dias Redd (Guardsman Recruit)
After arriving at the barracks, I had suggested we go on a patrol of the area to secure the town, after the gruesome attack last night I felt the need to capture the perpetrator was a neccesity. Jack had decided to lead the patrol, but no other soldiers had shown up so we headed out. Jack and I had a good chat, but we found nothing in the surrounding area save a couple skeletons and a Troll who seemed quite lost. We quickly returned to the barracks and decided to call it a night.

Leader: Seamus, guardsman recruit
Soldiers present: Dias Redd, Guardsman Recruit
this report is a bit late, but two nights ago eamus, another recruit (can't remember) and myself departed on a trip to the orc fort to gather some loot for the coffers. Seamus gave us the task of defeating four of their large commanders. At first things went smoothly, and we took down three no problem and gathered a good amount of gold. Than, we were ambushed by a commander and his unit of bombers and mages, and one of the recruits was knocked down. Seamus and myself ran out of the fort and together managed to bring the big one down and defeat his unit. We lost the recruit, and headed back to the barracks, where we counted around ten thousand gold crowns to be donated to the coffers.

Leader: Erik Arkay Soldeirs Present:Tina, Guardsman Recruit Hoagie, Junior Guardsman Rupert Ridir, Junior Grenadier Jenifer Feather, Junior Scout Dias Redd, Guardsman recruit Vince, guardsman recruit It was late into the evening when I awoke from a late nap. I saw Hoagie and Erik return with some scracthes and bruises, and they explained how they had just returned from a fight with Yewsmen in Yew. After a bit of idle chat, some more soldiers arrived to the barracks, and Erik ordered everyone to line up oustide the barracks. He than explained the situation and what we were to do, he wanted us to go on a secret operation into the heart of enemy territory; Trinsic. We were to tiptoe in, and interrogate any man we saw come by in order to locate a man named Cain Bishop. We were also to take any women we wanted in the city. So we headed off, with Erik in the lead. It took us about a half hour to finally get to the gates of the city from the moongate, as Erik hadnt the slightest clue where he was leading us. We finally arrived at the walls of the city, and decided to start checking the buildings. The first building we entered was deserted, but filled with books and a chess board. There was a debate over a nice carpet for a few minutes, and Erik finally decided we should burn it and move on. Erike ordered us to hug the walls from there on out, in order to not be seen by anyone. After a few minutes of this, we came across a guard who somehow spotted us. We tried to lie flat on the ground in order not to be seen, but the guard ran off. We moved forward and came across a bridge, and we decided to climb to the top and wait for people to pass underneath. A group of guardsman showed up eventually, and ordered us to come down. The guards ordered us to drop our weapons, but we of course refused and demanded they drop theirs, as all we wanted was to ask them some questions about Cain. After a short standoff, the guards decided to strike us and we had no choice but to knock them all down. The guards seemed badly injured, and one was knocked unconcious, so we picked them all up and dragged them over to a large building in the middle of town in order to ask them some questions. We interrogated the prisoners for several minutes, but deciding they knew nothing of importance, we tied them all up and thre them in the back of the room. We heard a report from Vince that a large force of yewsmen had arrived at the front gates of the city, so Erik decided we should sneak out the back. We finally came to the back entrance when two Yewsmen carrying an unconcious girl walked into the town. they demanded to know where the healer was, and deciding not to deal with the Yewsmen Erik told them where to go and we walked out. Before leaving, Erik ordered us to lift our kilts and piss in the trinsic waters, as it was a tradition apparently. We managed to escape the wretched city with our lives, so the mission was somewhat successful, although we didnt find any further information on the whereabouts of Cain. -Signed- Dias Redd, Guardsman Recruit

Leader: Vince Valentine, Officer cadet Soldiers present: Dias Redd, guardsman recruit It was right after our successful caravan journey when Vince and myself decided to lead a patrol. Vince sent out the pidgeons and we waited for a few minutes, but seeing as no other soldiers came along, we decided to do something else. This is when Vince suggested we go hone our skills by hunting some giants right where they live, in the deep caverns of Despise. I eagerly agreed, and soon enough we were off to the dungeon. We descended the first flight of stairs when we heard the snarls and growls of the nasty creatures that dwelled there. We grinned at each other and charged into battle, slaying all the ogres and giants we laid eyes on. After viewing the destruction we had caused, we decided to venture deeper into the caverns. The caves only got darker and wierder as we went on, encountering only a few trolls. We ended up viewing a strange altar a few trolls seemed to be guarding, and deciding it to be an evil pagan shrine, Vince burned it to the ground and we moved on. We finally ended up in the largest area of the dungeon, filled with Giant ogres and beasts one would pay to never see. The two of us bravely fought through the oncoming horde of beasts and their large leaders, whom proved to be more difficult than the regular infantry they showed us earlier. After slaying three of the giants' commanders, we decided to retreat back to the barracks and count our loot. We ended up with over ten thousand gold pieces, and instead of taking my share of the loot I decided to donate it to the militia's pile. It was a grand and profitable hunt in the long run. -Signed- Dias Redd

Leader(s):Anari, Junior Guardsman Vince Valentine, Officer cadet Soldiers Present:Kal Shadowhand, Officer Cadet Kiran, Guardsman Recruit Dias Redd, Guardsman recruit Belaldar Delarzo, Guardsman recruit Civilians present:Kendric Earlier this evening we made a succesful caravan to retrieve some mining supplies from the port of Vesper. The caravan started a little later than scheduled, as the civilian whom we were to escort showed up a bit late. yet, soon enough we were off, yet early on into the trip we lost recruit Kiran, but we decided we had to continue on without him. We were delayed yet again when Anari had passed out for a few minutes on the road. We soon arrived to the town, yet it took us awhile to reach the docks as Kendric had a slight fear of the bridges. It took us a good five minutes to successfully navigate the town, as it was full of bridges and splits. We finally found all the merchandise packed in a few boxes. We loaded up Kendric's mule and decided to head back. we had trouble again when Anari had to depart the scene, and we were down to Kal, Vince, myself, and Kendric. I had the feeling that we were going to be ambushed on our way back, as our numbers were diminished and it would seem the perfect oppurtunity for an enemy strike, but we made it back safely and without and scratches. The caravan ended up being an incredible success. One could only hope all our caravans end the same way. -Signed- Dias Redd

Interrigator: Anari, Junior Guardsman, Gate Sentry Soldiers present: Thomas Sendrich, Watchman Judas Deibeau, Regular Guardsman Erik Arkay, Grenadier Sergent Kal Shadowhand, Officer Cadet Talpa Europaea, Watchman Dias Redd, Guardsman Recruit Prisoner: Losis It was late into our gate sentry duty and I had just awoken from a small nap while guarding the gate. I was told to report immediately to the barracks, where a prisoner was being interrogated. The prisoner was Losis, a bandit caught minutes earlier. he was taken to the interrogation chamber and Anari was in charge of the investigation. When I arrived, Anari was already warming up with the prisoner, punching and choking the prisoner multiple times. Losis refused to give away any names of his superiors, so some of the other soldiers in the room decided to try their luck with him. After a little time talking with the guards, the scum said he'd be glad to talk, if he could spend ten minutes alone with Talpa. This angered Anari, who proceeded to kick the prisoner in the groin. This is when the prisoner began to give away some names. First he said Crimson Rogue, a former soldier of the Guardsman Militia and elf. Spotting his obvious lie, Anari brought his boot down onto Losis' groin, who, screaming in anguish, blurted out the real name of his superior, Lothlan Lir. He said that Lir is a former mercenary and used to live in a town south of yew called Rogue Town. Deciding enough information has been recieved for the time, Anari threw the prisoner in a jail cell and called for a last patrol of the area to make sure no more bandits were present. Although it seems a bit harsh, the interrogation was necessary for the safety and security of our beautiful city of Cove. -Signed- Dias Redd

Leader: Anari, Junior Guardsman Soldiers Present: Erik Arkay, Grenadier Sergent Garak Nightchill, Guardsman recruit Talpa Europaea, Watchman Kal Shadowhand, Officer cadet Cuthbert, recruit (Vesper) Dias Redd, Guardsman Recruit Description: We were standing arround the barracks having some idle chat when Sergent Erik arrived and suggested we go out to hunt. After pondering where we should head for a few moments, Cuthbert of Vesper suggested we go hunt Deamons, and everyone fullheartedly agreed with the visitor. We than headed to the middle of the jungle, an area one could get easily fatigued by the intense heat and humidity. The seven of us marched towards the large Fire Temple, situated in the middle of the jungle. First we marched without fear, to the top of the temple where we were greeted by an army of snarling Deamons, obviously eager for a meal. They rushed us as soon as they caught sight of the group and we found ourselves completely surrounded by the large beasts. After several heated minutes of battle, and being knocked off our feet a couple times, we decided to regroup at the base of the temple. After a short breather, Anari declared that we wipe out the surrounding force of dragons and Drakes, so we marched to the side of the temple to fight off the creatures. We were battling the beasts for some time, when we heard a call and ran to the base of the temple steps to find a man running from a group of deamons. He lost his balance around the bottom step and fell flat on the ground, so we helped the man up and fought off his attackers. the man Thanked us and ran off to the top of the temple again, and this is where the Vesper Recruit departed from the group. Anari than ordered us into the temple, where we would clear the remaining evil that existed. We cautiously opened the door, when a large Deamon flew down from atop the temple and attacked us. the door to the temple was flung open and we marched inside in form, while fighting off our ambusher. The inside of the temple was filled from wall to wall with Dragons and deamons, and we had no choice but to slash our way forward through the army of beasts. We found ourselves fighting inside the dark temple for a good fifteen minutes, and after recieveing several bruises and scratches, we decided to retreat from the temple. this proved a bit more difficult than speculated, as several of us were knocked down a few times on the way to the exit. We managed to make it out of the temple safely and decided to head back to the barracks to count the booty collected. We ended up with around 25 thousand gold pieces, and anari proceeded to pass out everyones share of the loot. Myself and Talpa donated our share to the militia pile, which ended up being over ten thousand gold pieces, and we were finally dismissed. *posts a couple of sketches* Overall, the hunt was an incredible success. -Signed- Dias Redd

Dias was born on the outskirts of the town of Yew in a small house. His father was a guardsman of Yew and a well known swordsman throughout the town. He was a generous man who believed strongly in his government and fought hard for his country. Dias' mother was a tailor and made her money through selling her dresses to the local merchants.
Dias was always picked on growing up due to his dark skin, many of the other children called him drowish and other names to anger him. Coming home with bruises every day, his father decided to teach Dias how to fight. Being too young to properly wield a sword, and not wanting to actually kill anyone, Dias learned how to fist fight from his father. After several months of sparring with his father after work, Dias finally wished to test his skills. Although he was only 15 at the time, his father decided to take dias to the local pub to pick a fight with some drunk locals. Dias decided to insult the fattest, drunkest Yewian in the bar and it took only a few words to get the drunkard on his feet. The drunk sped for Dias with his right arm pulled back ready to swing, but Dias calmly stepped to his left and gave the charging madman an uppercut to the gut, than a swing to the jaw, and the drunkard fell to the ground knocked out cold. Instead of kicking Dias out, the bartender decided to give him free ales for the rest of the night.
Three years later, Dias' father was returning home from a late shift patrol through the city. He was walking with a friend of his who lived in a house not far from his, when the two were stopped by three bandits armed with daggers. One demanded the two throw down all their money and walk the other way, but being a proud man, Dias' father unsheathed his sword and charged for the closest target. The thug shrieked and thinking quickly, threw his dagger at Redd which ended up through Redd's throat. His body dropped to the ground, lifeless. "Look what you've done! Now we'll be wanted for murder!" One of the thugs shouted at the murderer. "I...I didnt know what else to do! What d'yer 'spect? I wasn' gun' let the bast'rd slice me up with that there sword!" he replied. "Bah!, your a damned idiot! I knew we shouldnt of taken yer along!" the other bandit chimed in, and soon the three were standing over the body arguing with each other. Frozen in place for a minute in shock, Redd's friend finally regained his senses and pulled out his kryss, throwing it at one of the bandits backs. He than ran up and grabbed the kryss from the limping body, slashed the thug in the throat to his right and stuck the kryss in the murderer's chest, twisting the blade to cause more pain to the target. The man than ran back to Dias' house and explained to the family what had happened. Shocked by the death of his father, Dias decided to leave his home and Yew to explore the world and find a purpose to his life. In shock, his mother had no complaints and Dias left the day after his fathers funeral.
After wandering the world for two years, sleeping on the streets, in the forests, wherever he could find lodging, Dias finally found himself in the city of Moonglow. Here he met a man named Raistlin Ma'jere, who took Dias into his home when he found Dias begging for food on the streets of the city. Raistlin was a tall man, well over 6'6 and had a large, white beard and long hair. His house was a library, the only furniture he had was a table, chair, two beds, and the rest was bookshelves completely filled. Having no prior schooling, Dias was fascinated by all the books and Raistlin decided to teach Dias how to read and write. Dias became Raistlins personal scribe, writing whatever Raistlin asked him too in exchange for lodging and food. the day came when Raistlin asked Dias if he had ever heard of magic. Dias had heard of mages and rewad about wizards in books, but he had never seen one in real life. Raistlin smiled and began a chant in a whispery voice, of a language Dias had never heard before. soon Raistlin's hands began to slightly glow orange, and Raistlin quickly spun around and shot a small fireball out of his hand toward a candle wick, lighting it instantly. Amazed by this performance, Dias begged Raistlin to teach him the ways of magic and Raistlin replied he would be more than happy to take Dias as his apprentice. For seven years Dias trained with Raistlin, learning as many spells and combinations as his master could teach. Finally, Dias felt ready to go out into the world again, so he said his goodbyes and left Raistlin and the city of Moonglow.
First Dias found himself in the port town of Skara Brae. Here he didnt find any use for his skills to be put to use, as the town was filled with mostly fishermen and traveling vendors. He than decided to hop on a boat, not really caring where it took him. As day turned to night, than day again, Dias began to wonder where he would end up. Suddenly, the boat began to shake violently, and knowing this wasnt a barrage of waves Dias ran up to the deck to see what was happening. He found a row of archers on one side of the boat firing arrows at a plethora of large tenticles waving from out of the ocean. "A KRAKEN!!!!" a man shouted as he emerged onto the deck, and suddenly was hit by a large tenticle and was knocked overboard. Knowing he had to do something to stop the beast, Dias walked up next to an archer still firing arrows and closed his eyes, holding his plams facing up. He began to chant and the skies began to darken as clouds began to form over the boat. The archer stopped firing and slowly turned to see Dias chanting his spell and shouted to the other archers "We 'ave a wizard on board! 'E'll surely 'elp slay this beast for us! Nay give up 'ope men! Aim fer the eye!" The archers than began to concentrate their fire on one of the large eyes of the beast and Dias than pointed at the Kraken. A large lightning bolt shot from the sky hitting the beast right in the beak, and the Kraken began to spasm uncontrollably in the water, and than was still. "Thank ye lad! Ye sure did 'elp us out...although we could of done it on our own...None the less, I nay let such an act go unrewarded, so 'ere" The archer captain handed Dias a puch filled with one thousand gold pieces. Dias smiled and decided he found a purpose in his life. The ship came into the port of the city of Cove, and Dias was amazed at the beauty of the town. He loved the surrounding forest and mountains, and decided he would settle in there. After several months of lodging at the inn, Dias decided to go out and join the cove militia, to give his aid for the country he now calls home.
