Having said I was quitting UO before and then coming back again I have, once again, suspended my account. Truth is I'm full of good intentions to get involved and play regularly but can't seem to find the time. Really sad but after eight years of playing UO this may well be the end...or not....only time will tell.
Regards and best wishes to all BoC Phil Aka Edmund Rufus / Charles Fenwick

When: 20:00 Hrs 14/06/08 Leading: Eve, Grenadier Corporal In Attendance: Raiden Morana, Grenadier Captain Kelly Sanderson, Sergeant Garand, Junior Scout Edmund Rufus, Junior Scout Delferium, Watchman We were to search for the grave of a Henry Bartlet who, reportedly, had been buried with a precious ring belonging to our beloved Baron. Unfortunately there are quite a few Henry Bartlet's buried around Sosaria and so it was we set off on a tour to locate the graves and do a spot of digging. We set at a brisk march toward Vesper where the few inhabitants of the graveyard were easily dispatched and the headstone located. Fortunately Eve had brought some shovels for the rest of us had not even thought that far ahead and some set to work digging with shield or axes The work was hot and, once the body was exposed, extremely smelly but, for all our efforts we found nothing. It was much the same at Britain and Jhelomn, We took turns digging, fighting off the few spooks that appeared or opening the caskets and searching for the ring but nothing was found. Each time we re-intered the body leaving fresh flowers on the grave. Finally we made our way to Moonglow, here there were many more spirits to overcome but overcome them we did and once more set to work. This time success! Spotted sparkling in the grave was the Baron's ring. It was quickly recovered from the corpse and we returned to the barracks where upon emptying our packs we found we had collected a surprising amount of gold for the coffers. OOC Boards / OOC Board / Retiring from Game

|
Well you may have noticed that I have been in game very little over the past few months and have decided that it is time to call it a day and retire from the game. I don't want to go into any detail but RL has unfortunately got in the way.
I just wanted to thank everyone in BoC for all the hours of enjoyment I have had. It was a chance encounter with Gregor Eason that brought me to Cove and it was great to find such a friendly and fun guild.
My game time runs out on 5th April so if anyone wants to take over my house in Cove then let me know.
All the best to you all Phil. AKA: Edmund Rufus / Charles Fenwick

In Character Boards / In Character Board / Clearing Troubled Waters

Time16:00 Hrs, 29th December 2007 In AttendanceEve, Grenadier Corporal (Leading) Edmund Rufus, Junior Scout Jon Trent, Watchman I was ambling by the barracks when Corporal Eve called me into line next to Watchman Trent and announced that we were going to sea. Apparantly the good fisherman of Cove have had problems with sea monsters tearing at their nets recently and were in fear of their lives. Our mission was to clear the waters of these undesirables. Having secured a boat, all be it with a somewhat surly captain, the Corporal set us at our lookout positions and we set off to sea. With ne'er a hint of sea sickness we were soon far from land and set about casting out some strengthened nets. Before long we were in battle with fearsome Kraaken and deep sea serpents. Indeed, at one point, I lost my footing in the onslaught but had no fear with my comrades beside me. Having slaughtered a goodly number we returned to shore knowing that the fishing grounds were safe once more. Signed Edmund Rufus, Junior Scout

In Character Boards / In Character Board / Patrol to Altmere and Cove Town
|
on: December 20, 2007, 11:05:48 pm
|
TimeDecember 20th, Approx 22:00 hrs In AttendanceRaiden Morana, Grenadier Captain Gregor Eason, Senior Guardsman Kelly Sanderson, Corporal Edmund Rufus, Junior Scout (Leading) Thomas Scarr, Watchman Ghefest, Citizen At Corporal Sandersons request we patrolled to the Altmere outpost and around the town of Cove. We encountered a few undesirables present; an ogre, Harpie and a group of bandits all quickly put to the sword. All was quiet at Altmere but the outpost had been left in a rather untidy state. The beds had not even been made! Standards are slipping I think. Then it was back to Cove town to check out the docks and watchtower where Senior Eason reminisced over his part in freeing the town from the Orcish horde. All was well in Cove so I promptly dismissed the patrol. Signed Edmund Rufus, Junior Scout

Command Boards / The Thieves' Council / Re: The Whack List
|
on: August 09, 2007, 04:50:21 pm

Dear Mr Lynch,
I wish to apply for a name to be added to our enemies list. I accuse Church Servant Shadowhand of being an enemy of the hats for the following crimes:
1) An unprovoked attack on brother Straeban 2) The wrongful accusations of murder and robbery against Charles Fenwick. 3) A vicious attack upon Charles Fenwick. 3) The wrongful imprisonment of Charles Fenwick for the wrongfully alleged charges against him.
May I humbly suggest that, as Mr Shadowhand likes to bandy about accusations, we fit him up in some way? Maybe with sins against the Church? Let's see how he likes a taste of his own medicine.
Signed Fenny

A Wrongful ArrestI was walking about Cove minding my own business when I was starled by the appearance of a stranger bearing the badge of a servant of the Covian church. I was shocked to the core when he started accusing me of murdering a young woman who had fallen, lifeless, into a nearby thicket. This was clearly a man not in his right senses due to his missionary zeal so I ran for my life only to be knocked down, chained, and roughly marched to the barracks jail. Demanding to know my tormentors name he simply replied "Shadowhand". Straeban Lends a HandFortunately you are never alone when you a member of the "Hats" and, shortly after the vicious Shadowhand had left a hatted and robed figure appeared at my cell door. In the wink of an eye I was free and we set off to return to the warehouse. This I later found out was Straeban, a man of whom I had heard much but never met until now. We Will be Avenged!Back at the warehouse Straeban told me how he had watched the whole episode from the shadows and, furthermore, this "Shadowhand" had attacked him recently as well. Clearly this religious lunatic is an enemy of the free trade that we "Hats" have grown to love. He must be taught a lesson. Signed in a flowing hand Charles H Fenwick
