Ilyana, Garrison, and myself where at the barracks gettin ready fer a hunt. Ilyana was done with how cold it was in cove and wanted to go somewhere warm and the fire cave in serpents hold was the hottest place we could think up. Apparently there is an archanist, Kas or somthin', who hates all types of horses so we decided to honour him by killin' a fire horse. right when we stepped inside the cave we felt the extreme heat of the place. The cave was like a mini maze so it took us a bit to find the fire horse. While lookin' fer it we fought some mages who built a house down there, evil cats and dogs, fire elementals, and other types of firery beasts. We also had to traverse many obsticles such as a tight rope bridge, a wall that was in our way and the strange house filled with crazy wizards. We were easily able to kill everything due mainly to the awsome magic of Ilyana. When we finally got to the horse it was fairly easy fight and we promtly left the fire cave. When we got back we got about 20,000 gold. Garrison and I bolth donated our shares of 12,500.

Watchman Hawke caught up with me in the barracks and asked me to help him practice going through some parade and battle drills. The first thing that he had me do was Sound Off. I had stepped out of the line to to sound off for the other recruits, who happened to be boxes, so he made me run two laps around the barracks. when I got back he had us Number Off. We did a few more parade drills such as Ready Arms, Parade, turn Left. Parade, turn Right, etc.. After we finished doing some more basic parade drills we left the barracks for some combat drills. The first thing we did was a trackers line , and that was followed up by targeting specific targets. We ended up seeing an ogre so that is what we targeted. He also went over the proper way to Form up in the Box Formation, they must cover the front, to the left/right, and to the rear of the guardsman in command, in that order. We then did Charge where we killed yet another ogre. That was followed by being ordered to hide, something that I am some what of an expert at. Helping Watchman Hawke taught me a few useful things at this training that I hope will make me a better Recruit.

We were Standing at the front step of the barracks While Ilyana was tellin' us what we where goin' to be doing. She said we would be doin' somthin' called Drow Hunt. I didn't know what it was but she said that we would have to go 'ta New Haven for supplys. She gated us up 'ta New Haven and she went to the fabric shop and then to the provisioner for supplys. We then went to the ice dungeon where we would be doing the game. When we got inside she had us line up and she 'splained the rules of the game and setup the bag balls.




 
I fought mainly Rat men because they where close to the balls and easy to manage but I haven't the slightest idea what the others where fightin'. Xavier ended un winnin' by a fair margin and I came in last, so maybe next time I should try for somthin' a bit bigger. We came back to the barracks where Xavier and I donated 7,300 each and Thomas kept his share. Overall this was a very fun event and I am very grateful that Iyana held it.

 I was walking through Cove when a man asked me if I wanted to make some money. I do want to make some money, so I walked over and asked what he wanted me to do."I seek a worthy esscort. I can offer some small pay to any able bodied adveturer who can assit me. It is imperitive that I reach my destination." he told me. This seemed like an easy enough task so I excepted. I didn't run into any trouble except for an ogre, but that wasn't to hard to handle. When we got to his destination he thanked me, gave me my pay, and I left to return to Cove. With how easy this was to complete, I wondered if there where any other Covians in need of an escort. I found two others who where in need of an escort, both willing to pay a fair bit of money. One of them wanted to go to Britain, on which I experienced no interuptions, and another to Moonglow where the only trouble I got was from some pesky mongbats.

 I was eager to complete some recruit tasks to try and get promoted and the sollen hive seemed like an easy enough task to complete. I went to the barracks to see if anyone was around, and Garrison just so happened to be there. We talked for a while and then we set of to the hive, not knowing just how challenging it would be.

 When we got to the hive it was some what hard to navigate the tunnels, but we searched until we found a Queen. We were able to kill it but as it died acid splashed on us, and as if that wasn't enough a solen warrior charged from the shadows, spitting acid on Watchman Hawke and knocking him out. When he came to  his helmet was no where to be found. I had been able to kill the warrior and get Garrison  back on his feet, when another queen came into the nest. This time we where much more careful of the acid and knew about the warrior that would inevitably come to defend it, and were able to kill then both. We got the gold off the Queens, workers, and warriors and marched back to the barracks. The total amount of gold we got was 12,000 (I need an officer to put the gold in the coffer for me) 6,00 for the coffers and the Watchman and I both agreed to put our shares in the coffer.

This is my survival kit. It includes a bedroll, bandages, a torch and lantern, an axe, scissors, a skinning knife, a saw, food and water, a sewing kit, and a cup with dice.
