Patrol to investigate rumors concerning Shame Dungeon

Rumors have surfaced that the creatures dwelling within Shame Dungeon have undergone some sort of transformation. Jassi and I decided to scout the caverns and discover whether the rumors were nonsense or a genuine threat.

As we made our way into the caves we were attacked by the earthen creatures as we expected, however there were also smaller beings I've never seen before. They were man shaped and seemed to be made of thick mud. The muck stuck to our blades and slowed us down some but we pressed on!

After bringing down a number of the creatures we came to the conclusion that they have indeed changed. Their strikes are much more potent and our weapons had trouble penetrating their defenses.

The coin we returned with was divided into shares of 3,000 which were then deposited into the coffers.

I'm sorry to hear that Keane. 

As for my ICQ I only use it for UO and I haven't been on much in the last while.

I'm not sure who's home it was next to the barracks but I've preserved the plot with an alternate account. It's ready and waiting for its previous owner or perhaps a new one if they're not interested.

I just went for a quick run down the shoreline and counted 18 homes (not including several bare plots and one IDOC). My first gut feeling for banner placement would be outside the barracks. Or in Hoagies yard.

I heard someone was holding a training course at the barracks so I headed over. Only after lining up did I find out that the training was for finger wigglin' wytchy types. I had no intention of learning that sort of thing but I figured it best to stick around and find out what I could for future reference.

Elizabeth began by teaching us the basic concepts of how emotion can influence spells. Two of the attending guardsmen were feeling rather rambunctious though and the lessons were... interrupted a few times.

Our brave band set out to construct a sentry post at the ruins near the Cove/Vesper border. With the assistance of carpenter Damien Tinks we constructed a solid barricade and began our watch. A friendly duel between Me'an and Kelban took place, but aside from that all was quiet in the Covian shire.

After breaking down camp to head home, we found our supplies much to heavy to carry. Rather than allow them fall into the hands of the enemy, Me'an set fire to them. Moments after, a rather battered man appeared from the brush. He identified himself as a man of the Church. He had been robbed and was slowly making his way back to Cove so we offered him an armed escort back to safety.

Our grand floating sentry set out from the barracks to secure and protect the area around the dock. We commandeered a vessel near the dock and set up a blockade at the entrance. After constructing proper defenses, we began drinking and fishing carefully watching the surrounding area.

After a little practice with my crossbow, we decided to move on to larger more effective weapons. Once ashore, we began construction of a large ballista, one large enough to rain destruction on our neighboring enemies! While the ballista was effective, it's range and accuracy were... dubious at best.
