After some happenings in Cove I had to leave to clear my head, Everything that happened had done so in such a quick manner I did not know how to take it so I layed my weapons aside while packin my belongings for a journey to find my self again. Seeing Commander Raiden in the shape he was in and the Grenadiers fallng apart with his absence was too much to take, Was far from what the Grenadiers use to be. I threw on my pack and headed to the Lands of Ilshenar. The land of Chaos and Beauty, The land od Danerous creature and peaceful creature.

There I wondered arounds taking in all the sights and fighting its Dangers. Living amongst them all I was becoming at peace with my self. Loosing my sons was becoming easier to deal with knowing one day they would seek me like I saught my Father out. But somethines I wonder if seeking my father out was really worth the troubles, as he is still not around much to give me advice or to halp further my Knowledge of my forgotten Homelands. Demarian Tel'var seems to be further from me now as he once was after leaving me and my mother to die in the wars with the undead.

Afrer a year has gone by now I desided it was tme to return to Cove, the place I call home now and return to my Grenadier Brother. The trip seem to have taken another year but once again I am back in Cove and much has changed. Commander Raiden Morana has stepped down handing his possition down to the New Commander Keres. Least a Grenadier still holds the possition. Before making my return I passed through and stopped at the Swagger. Now back in Cove I stopped in the Green Goblin wich now hold a different look and Mizuho still runs things, I talked to her for some time. She was telling me about some new Recruits being Mouthy in Line ups, Smart mouthing higher ranking Members.

I sat back taking in all she was telling me and I was trying to figure out what to make of it all. What happened to the chain of Command? Why are these Recruit allowed to get away with this? Back when I was a Recruit I got punished for speaking bad to a higher ranking member, or speaking out of turn in a line. My fellow Brother Grenadiers, It is time restore this order we once had, it is time we instill Order into the Recruit and teach the to respect the higher ranking members. On my return I make this pledge, Any Recruit showing dissresper for a Higher Ranking Mamber will be taught a less n Humilliation and punished for his or her outbursts.

I am BACK, I am HOME, and Order will return to the Covian Army once again.

After arriveing at the Barracks, Miss Sanderson had gathered the men I needed to go forth and claim my first Trophy. The victom I have chosen for my first trophy was the lord of the blood dungeon, the Baldron. after filling them in and running some Vesperns from the Goblin we then set forth to the Covian Portal where we went through to Spirituallity.

Once there we then head to the dungeon and soon as we arrived we were met with Hostility. We fought our way to the opening of the Dungeon I sent Junior Bersi to go play tag with the Giant Winged beast. As he ran off I had the other for the Arkay Manover, as Bersi was not long in bringing back my soon to be Prize.

Bersi quickly took to the middle behind us as we quickly applied bandages to him to make sure he stayed up for the fight. The fight it's self was really not that long soon having my prize lay flat on his back waiting for me to hack off his Jaw.


After claiming my Trophy and not being intent on what we have done I ordered the rest to follow mw and he headed in further and layed several more to rest for good messure collecting a nice sum of coins for the coffers.

We awoke this morning Talking and I thinking o fthe resent attacks on the Goblin and the loss of a loved one I desided to ack Mister Quinn who is a Captain of his own Ship to Marry Kelly and I. He agreed to Marry us on his ship and I then went back and told Kelly to get ready. I sent out a pigeon to Straeban the new owner of the Bakery in Cove to be witness to the first day of my life.









After the vows I payed the Captain and Kelly and I headed off for our honeymoon

After I made my rounds of all over Cove making sure all was as it should be, I returned to the Barracks where this person was waiting out side. As I passed him I did notice the Dark Skin and the solid white hair and then dawned my Armor and drew mt mace and shield. He then spoke, "I seak this ShadowHand" And I replied, "Why".






After tell me that he owed ShadowHand something, He then started to raise his bow, I leaped off the steps at him hitting him a good one as he hit me with a bolt. After a short time the Drow took off in a fullout run and I dared not give chace as it could have been a trap and did not want to fall for it. Instead I went and awaken Mister Mat to fasten me some crates so I could quickly buils a Sentry. After some time Mister Mat had made me enoug crates to build a nice Sentry that was secure.
I started the building as a Man come up wareing a Covian uniform and I then set off a Pigeon. Soon after Sergeant Keres come up and they went inside. I finished the Sentry and took my Place at the steps with my Battle gear on incase more Drow showed up.

Sergeant Keres and the Man called Micholi come out and joined me to secure the Sentry fully.




After some time keepen watch and talking about things I figured the Drow was gone not to return anytime soon I then asked Sergent Keres if he though I should pick up the Sentry or just leave it. He told me to pick it up and save the Crates for futuer Sentries.

As for the last of me Grenadier Trials I had to lead a group to the Giant Ants to collect the bronz ore the carry. With the help of Captain Morana the men needed was gathered at the Barracks. Cutting to the point I quickly told them why they had been gathered. I then told them to arm up that there was nay gtime to stand about whilst the bronz needed for me arm wasted away down with them Gialt Ants. The next order I gave was Follow Me.



Was nay long after leaving the Barrecks we had to stop as some had wondered off and got lost. We stopped and waited on the road for them to catch up. After all of us was togther again we then headed out once more, finding the entrance to the Giant Ants home but one of many, we stopped to check ot out before entering.



After entering we mad our way through the twists and turns to another and deeper hold, where I then ordered all to enter so that way if there was a surprise waiting for us we wouldbe ably to quickly back each other up. Seen nothing we headed forwards to find the sandy nests of the Giant Ants with one quickly on us before all was ready.



One after another they came up from the ground just to be squashed by the power of the Coveian Army. The ore found was taken and trhe rest set aside.



After an Hour Seeing how we were too much for em Giant Ants and seeing how we have what we came for I ordered everyone back to the entrance to return back to the Barracks. Once back at the Barracks all the ore was placed down to be finally counted. The bronz arms will indeed be mine at the nest Promotional Perade.

After dissmissing the men and women, Captain Morana ordered all to the Barracks rooftop. After putting the ore and little coins gathered away I made me way to the Roof with the others only to be called forth by the Captain. I approached the Captain and he told me to repeat after him.







After being sworn into me new upcomming Rank I saluted the Captain and returned to ther line just to be dissmissed.


I now will add, I will go forth to being a better Grenadier than me Father Demarian Tel'var. I jess hope that he will finally be proud of me for a change.

Marcus's Grenadier Trials

As part of the last of me Grenadier Trials I am tasked to lead a group of men to the tunnels where them bloodi giants live and disect the bronz ore them eat and as much as we could carry. I need Three or more good brave men or lass's to join me in my deed so i can now move on to be a better Grenadier that me Father Demarian Tel'var.

As per me next of me Trials everyone was called to the roof of the Barracks where she handed us some pizzas for our dinner, then she explains that I Marcus would be holding a training session whilst she did her paper work.

I ate me pizza with haste so I could quickly take the line after she had gone. Takeing the line totaly unprepaired to do anything for me trials I had the men warm up with some good old fassion press ups.



After they had finished them I had then rune ten laps around the arena as so I could think about what I was going to train em on this day. They soon finished their running I then led them in a healing training for the box formation will nay work if ye can nay heal the person next to ye or the Commanding officer. At first they did well, then we had to stop as to let watchman Takeamada join in. I then took my stance and continued the healing training. Watchman Takeamada was nay ready I guess nor the others as I hit the Watchman, and he soon went down. I then had them armor up to see if it would better their healing.



I then went to useing a flurry of attacks and to my surprise they were all ready as nay one fell this time.

After the healing training satisfied me we then went on to talk about the Box Formation, and how if was to be formed,



We covered how to form the Box and who would stand where as per their skill and weapon of choice. Shielders to the fore and sides, Archers and Magic Users to the rear. After awhile of disscussing the Box Formation, I had em line up. From their we then started up on the Arkay Veriation of the Box Formation.



I begain to ask them if they knew of this Formation. Some have heard of it like me, but the Captain raised his had and then asked if I wanted him to show us this Formation. After I told him that I would be happy if he did that, he then went to the back corner and ordered Watchman Takeamada to stand in the very back of the corner and then placed the rest as him self in the place they needed to be.



I then armored me weapon of choice and me shield to test this formation. After a few moment I seen I could nay do much dammage to the Watchman I then backed off suprised that it actually worked well. We then talked about the full purpose of this formation, To keep the archer inside heald without attacking the beast we were protecting him from. Afterwards I had then line in the proper place and then talked more of the benifits of the Box Formation and about the best defencive attacks that would be best. The best defencive attacks are as follows,

Dissarm them of their weapons,
Make em bleed badly where their bandages would have trouble stopping,
Put them in a shocking gaze, ( Mortal )
And if a scout be in the box with the ability to poison, well ye get the message there.

All these attacks work well, as so ye will nay miss yer chance to heal the one next to you with the time that is given for the enemy to recover.

With all I could cover was covered I ended the training with a nice free for all where Drill Instructor: Carcer then joined in. After the last man was standing all was healed up, I called out for them to line up.



After they lined back up I then Dissmissed them for the rest of the evening.

As for this Trial I was to lead a group of men to thew lands of Illshenar to gather some feathers and what ever loot we could carry. I arrived at the Barracks to find a few men standen around in line with Miss Arelle. I took the lead and told them we were to go forth and pluck the feathers from some of them winged wenches known as Harpies.



I then ordered them to force march to the public traveling gate as we had no mages about to aide us there. Once there we all stepped through to the lands of Spirituality where them can be found in a large nest just north from where we entered the place.



We then travled the long didtance there to find the entrance unguarded as no one just goes there to play. I then told them we are here to hurt lets get to work.



On the way in the foul smell of their dropping could almost kill the ones that aren't use to it, but we are Coveians and we quickly addapt to any situation that arises. We quickly found our selves sorrounded, but no real threat came from them for as fast as they stepped up, they fell at our feet to be plucked.



We fought and plucked their feathers and collected gold along the way deeper in. We could hear their angry screems as more came upon us each time we layed em to rest. After awhile I took a count of the feathers, seen we had what I was required to gather then ordered a retreat as we did punish them enough this day and hope they finally learn that us Coveians are nay the ones to mess with.



Back at the entrance I handed out some feathers for them to help me carry them back to Cove then asked them to make their way back if they could and line up once there. I then headed to the nearest stable to fetch me pack horse to carry the coins I gathered and had sent to the bank with me magic bag.

Back at the Barracks I had them place their feathers and coins down so as we could make a final count of our deeds.




After getting the final count I then started handing out their shair of the coins when Takeamada and Bloodaxe both donated their shares of One-Thousand each to the Coffers.

I then dissmissed them and headed up to place the coins and feathers where they needed to be with the help from Watchman Takeamada.

After we all gathered at the Barracks and lined up, the Captain begain to tell up about some travelers that were attacked by some savages there in Compassion and that we were to go forth and make sure that it is safe for travel by all the desires to go there.



He then called forth Watchman Forums to open one of her magic portals to one of the public portals as so we can travel there. Stepping through the magic portal and then through the public portal we found ourselves in the land of Compassion in Illshenar.



We then lined up and the Captain had informed us that we will be joined by the Commoner Miss C'lil and that we were to keep her safe from harm. We then headed out to go find these savages and teach them a lesson that they will soon nay forget this time. Along the way we came up on a Gypsy camp and the Captain had told us to check it out. So far all that we checked out was in order and nothing amist could be seen. As we then turned to head out we were met by Sergeant Hoagie who then joined in our quest to teach the savages a thing or two.



We then headed out to make our way to the Savages when we found the portal in te mountain and entered it to be met by a savage guarding it from any outsiders. He greated us all and we inreturn greated him with Death, Coveian style and Grenadier Swagger.



After schooling him in the Coveian manner we then headed towards his village to see who all we could then school in the same manner as him. The trail that lead there was not hard to find as it was well traveled and mark well. We could see the gates now and they were opened with no guards attending or they were changing shifts, eather way their mistake as we approached.



As we entered the village we were then seen and they rushed over as we made ready for battle, they then attacked and fell so quickly that is was almost pathetic. They were supose to be fearce warriors, but they only fell after a few swings of our weapons.



The deeper we went the more that came to us and the more fearce the Battle got. They came at us from all dirrections and even had their Shammans try to stop us.








We faught battle after battle and the more that came the faster we had to fight and the more thay fell the better we felt. The captain soon called out for us to make our way back to the entrance, and we then headed for it knocking all the tried to stop us. At the entrance we were then ordered to make our return to our on home. Now leaving wasn't that bad as they did finally stop to tend to their wounded and left us be. We then made our way back to the public gate where the Captain then had us line up to take a head count and to ask Miss C'lil if she was okay.



After the head count we then were told to return to the Minoc public portal where we then were told to force march back to the Barracks. After the long battle we had with the Savages I was too tired for the long run so I took me a short cut back to the Barracks where I was soon to be met by the Captain. Was nay long before the rest has caught up with us at the Barracks and the Captain had ordered us to drop any loot collected from these savages.



The Captain the started handing out our cuts from the loot. Takeamada and I had told him to put our share in the Coffer as forth to our Promotional requirements. Our shares totaled 1500 coins each.

We were then dissmissed into Sergeant Hoagies hands.
