1  Element boards / Citizen Board / Getting up to speed on: September 02, 2011, 08:14:00 am
Hello everyone!,

I have just returned to Cove some week ago and since my return I have heard a lot of complaints that the Citizen system is not really up and running nor being overseen by anyone.

I would very much appreciate a recap or summary of some kind as to what has happened and to get an idea who is actually still around here. *Smiles*

If someone needs or wishes to contact me, please send a bird my way.
My cage number is: 345-345-654

Hope to see you all soon

Hello everyone!!!,

I am still not playing UO and my absence has been too far stretched out and after losing my house and all my belongings I kind of couldn't care.

But anyhow, you guys in BoC have always been special to me, so I wanted  to at least come back to the forums and give you all a big warm hello! =)

How are things doing with the guild, and who is still up and about ?!?!?!?!?!!

All the best!!

Dear Ovtivous Von Richter,

I come to you with a humble heart and an open mind to answer your bidding for it has come to my attention that you are looking for a fellow lady and baroness in the court to accompany you through your many endevours in life.

After many years of loyal service to the township of Cove I would like to think my reputation as an upright and compassionate lady has been noted amongst the devoted people of Cove whom both serve and work here and whom I all I know very well for I like to make it as simple as possible so I can keep a good relationship to the general masses.

With you in my thoughts and the wish of a flourishing Cove I sincerely hope you would consider having me at your side when you next plan to meet the world in public.

Truly Yours forever and ever.

Jessica sat calmly by the working bench in her workshop, twisting, fiddling and adjusting small metal parts into items like sextands and kegs.

After a long times work she finally had finished making them all, and stoved them carefully into a box and securing the lid ontop.

Jessica took the package, leaving it at the Naval office and checked off her list of things to do.

- 2 Chairs
- 5 Wooden Benches
- 1 Clock
- 5 Axle With Gears
- 5 Hinges

- 5 Barrels
- 5 Lanterns
- 1 Sextant
- 2 Kegs

Only five barrels missing.

Looking through her storages, Jessica picked out a wide array of tunics, leggings and gloves in different sizes, piling them up on the counter in her workshop in order to count them up.

She ponderd to herself before storing them into a big chest, setting it aside whilst awaiting final delivery

Work done, the remaining 8 sets of leather armour is awaiting you at the workshop Sergeant Arkay.

Jessica read through the task, nodding to herself.
She quickly scribbled down a message on a piece of parchment before rolling it together and sending it off with one of her white doves.

Some months later...
Jessica received a message back from Raul telling everything was set and ready and that he was just awaiting final payment.

Jessica went up to her office, taking out a fine metal chest.
Opening the chest she retrieved some payment checks that she would bring along on her voyage to Skara Brae.

Sorting out a parcel with food and warm clothes for the sailingtrip she then ran off to the port where the local harbourmaster was awaiting with a prepared vessel that would ship her across the sea to the Skara Brae port.

Arriving at the late hours of the day into Skara Brae, Jessica went into the town, looking for the man helping her with the resources named Gorg.

After a while searching, she did find him.

Jessica spoke in a friendly manner to Gorg before handing him the check, making her way back to the port.

Thanking the harbourmaster Raul for his efforts aswell she paid him well for his services and some extra for having her belongings stoved under deck before continuing onto her journey that would take her back home to the town of Cove.

Arriving back in Covian waters Jessica was greeted by some bored sailors who would not refuse some hard work in pulling her resource barrels ashore for a small shilling.

Day 1, Early Morning.

Jessica begun in the early hours before sunrise, bringing shovels, rakes and other tools to the farms where she begun her chores, clearing the old farmlands from rocks, dead plants and vegetables in order to process the dirt, making it really soft and ready for plants and flowers.

Day 1, Noon.
After having finished clearing the farmlands of abit of everything Jessica took her seed pouch, walking around the farms, dropping them around into the ground and then raking the dirt over ontop of the burrowed holes to give the seeds a great place to grow in a dark and humid patch of dirt.

After having coverd up the holes with dirt, Jessica took a big keg and poured a special liquid down into the dirt, over all the places where she had planted the seeds knowing it would help its growth rate.

Day 2 late night.
Having waited over twentyfour hours Jessica returned to the farms during the quiet dark night to find the flowers having bloomed as if magic had been present.

Looking very pleased with herself she slipped on her gardening gloves and got to work.

Working ferociously like an animal during the long calm night that never seemed to come to an end she dug up all the grown plants and placed them into a neat row along the border of the farm to keep them under observation in one location instead of having them spread all around her.

As the night was coming to an end, she sat herself down on one of her stools to rest her legs and watch the sun come up over the bay.

Looking back down, she gazed over the work she had done during the last two days with the flowers, clearly proud and pleased with herself.
She then gatherd up her tools, taking them down to the water and gave them a proper cleaning before returning back to her own cabin.

Browsing through some paperwork Jessica found a small wrinkled piece of parchment that she lifted up, reading closley.

Appearantly it was a note to remind herself of unfinished buisness.

Letting out a soft sigh she stood up, leaving the pile of papers behind for a later time.

As she walked down the creaky staircase in her workshop she suited herself up with a good blacksmithy suit that would come in handy in protecting her from the heat of the forge and accidental blows from the hammer.

She wanderd off to the Covian smithy by the barracks and started to heat up the forge using a single bellow.

After some times work when the forge was well heated enough she begun working the metal into shape and hardening it against the anvil.

Bending.....shaping....bending.....shaping......heating....shaping...the work never ended.

5 Waraxes completed as requested.

*Pins a small notice ontop of the board*

After having watched the sunset Jessica wrapped her warm soft fur cape around her shoulders, wrapping it tight around her body to keep herself shelterd from the cold sea winds.

Walking back from the shore, hearing only the loud sea breeze and the gentle snoaring of the covian guards in the barracks, besides a few still being on duty playing cards.

Jessica walked into her shop, dropped some thick logs into the fire before resuming up on her work with attaching the wooden carved legs to the flat tables and stools.

After some hours of intensive work, Jessica dusted off her hands, broomed off the floor from all the saw dust and yawned lightly to herself.

Putting out the fire she then headed off to rest peacefully in quiet as the early morning started to creep up, upon Cove.

Jessica woke up, yawning to herself before stepping into the tavern getting her early meal.

After having read through the board she nodded, tearing down one of the posts, folding it together and tucked it into her pocket.

Jessica prepared herself by strapping on her mining gear and getting a good supply of pickaxes.

Stepping out through the door from her workshop she headed first towards the Glenmore mountains going up along the sea.

Working her way up along the mine she found only a small vein of gold, but she kept her motivation up and kept herself busy...But after many hours as night was closing up quickly, she brought along her tools and went back for a nap in Cove.

The following day...

Jessica woke up, after having fallen asleep in full mining suit at the tavern sofa.

Quickly she recoverd herself a new pickaxe due to the other one breaking during previous day of mining.

Her first location was, Covoteous mountain.

She spent her entire day working and mining, prospecting and smelting...a task she would normally not trouble herself with, but the need of exercise was greater than the need of riches this day.

...After a long tiresome days work along the long Covoteous mountain she finally decided to pack up her things and wander off as it was already dark outside, one day gone she thought to herself...

When arriving in Cove back outside her workshop she set aside all her tools and pickaxes for later cleaning, and tossed down the hefty sack of gold bricks taking them out, laying them on the ground.

Another day is to come for me to continue this gruesome work unless a more fitting man shall take over.

This was all for me...
