Well met, Commander. We began some investigations into your disappearance. We more or less ruled out Yew as an actor in this particular international incident, although curiously they had not had any of their people kidnapped. Vesper, on the other hand, fell victim to the same agenda as yeself it would appear. Serj raced through the Baronship Household and climbed the stairs to the Barracks two steps at a time. Bursting through the door, he made immediately for the Army Noticeboard and identified a note with his name on it.
WATCHMAN TRIALS: SERJ EASON
Serj initially grinned at the note, but as he read it his face turned to one of seriousness.
“Alright. It’s on.” He nodded, and walked away.

(OOC: These case notes have been submitted to Command for review)Thursday, 8th November 2018 - Initial Incident logged Miss Axiana Masteen was found left drunk and vulnerable at The Cardinal Feather following interaction with an unknown male. The incident is being treated as suspicious. The victim was discovered whilst on patrol in the Baronship Household. After being taken into care by Senior Arcanist Ilyana Drachen and Citizen Yukina Kazami, Miss Masteen briefly mentioned a man that had been drinking with her. She was unaware who this man was and did not seem to recall what he looked like. There appeared to be no witnesses and the victim was not in able condition to give a statement. Tuesday, 20th November 2018 - Statement from Miss Axiana MasteenFollowing a Covian Army training session, I sighted Miss Masteen and took the opportunity to take a statement. Statement taken by Interview* The night before the incident, Miss Masteen visited a Mr De Blaze of Vesper to make arrangements for the forthcoming Jousting Tournament. Mr De Blaze took his leave and Miss Masteen ventured to the well known Vesperian drinking hole, Swaggers Inn.
* Miss Masteen was offered a vial of clear liquid at Swaggers Inn by a female Vesperian guard known as Ayseh. Another female by the name of Mischief was present.
* Miss Masteen did not drink this mysterious vial but was quite drunk, and brought to a room in Swaggers Inn safely by Mischief.

* Concerning the incident at The Cardinal Feather, Miss Masteen recalled very little. She mentioned again an unknown male who was drinking with her.
* The unknown male apparently arrived after Miss Masteen had been drinking, as she cannot remember what he looked like. But she can remember his voice.. “Smooth like chocolate.”
* Victim described the man as very charming and polite. She said his accent was ‘not Covian’. But he continued to pour drinks for her when she was unable to do this herself. It is my belief that our patrol interrupted what were malignant intentions. Miss Masteen may have also been offered rare and unstable substances at Swaggers Inn. Whilst substance abuse is no surprise at Swaggers Inn, I fear for the safety of Miss Masteen. Her visit to Swaggers may have resulted in her being marked as a vulnerable target and pursued to Cove. I do not have much to go on.. but I request authorisation to investigate Swaggers Inn discreetly as a wandering mercenary, and without Vesperian permissions, to obtain further information on wished to compromise Miss Masteen’s safety that fateful eve at The Cardinal. This eve, I conducted a Training Session at the meadow outside the Covian Gates. In AttendanceSerj Eason, Watchman (Training Instructor) Leanne Martin-Melior, Regular Scout Tyrael Styx, Junior Grenadier Tsukiyomi Mori, Junior Guardsman Sheriam Palmer, Junior Guardsman Axiana Masteen, Patrician (Observer) Subjects Covered* Basic Drill * Parade Drill * Healing and Movement * Response to Orders The attendees, all Junior ranks, were excellent and extremely responsive to orders. They fared very well on an exercise I created whereby they had to follow the raked snow whilst hitting and healing each other.. AND responding to movement commands (stopping, changing direction, etc). It tested the mind and the body!  Parade! LEFT FACE! Parade! Salute to the fore! SALUTE! Emphasis on HEALING (and Hitting!). Training squad prepares to move! Commands mid-movement! A bloody training trail.

As we now have two Covians missing from our fine town I thought it prudent to open up a formal investigation into the matter. My understanding is that Regular Scout Martin-Melior is going to progress this on Thursday so I make the following summary in good faith. MISSING PERSONSHoagie Grayer, Commander - Identified as missing as of Friday 09/11/18 Khaelieth, Burger (Citizenry) - Missing as of Wednesday 14/11/18  Khaelieth being ‘arrested’ at his residence.We ventured to Stonekeep to enquire about the whereabouts of Citizen Khaelieth (with the title of Burgher on Baronship records) and Commander Hoagie Grayner. Following our encounter with supposed Yewish forces on Wednesday at Khaelieth’s residence in Altmere, it was confirmed by Captain Radek Wilkes that the men we described were not on the Guardsmen Militia roster - neither as Guardsmen nor Templi. This confirmed our suspicions that the Yewish force was in fact a group of imposters. To further strengthen this conclusion, the Templi we sighted wore black cloaks. It was made clear that Templi of the Yewish chapter wear red cloaks. Captain Wilkes suggested that we perhaps drift our gaze toward Vesper to discover the fate of Khaelieth. With respect to Commander Grayner, the tale we recounted to the good Captain returned our attention to the young woman we met whilst patrolling Altmere on Friday the Ninth of this November. She had supposedly witnessed the Commander being led away by Yewish guardsmen under duress. We found this report laughable. The Yew Militia are our allies and they would never commit such actions against Cove. Again, this witnessing was refuted by the Captain. And so, we are left wondering who this woman is and where we can find her. She was local to Altmere, and a Healer allegedly. Investigation Objectives* In pursuit of Khaelieth, we must focus our attention to Vesper. Perhaps opening up a dialogue with the Vesper military and also the regulars at Swaggers Inn. Particular enquiries should be made with respect to the acquisition of Templi uniforms. * In pursuit of Commander Grayner, some information may be gained from Vesper. But we would be wise to bring the wandering healer happened upon in for questioning. * General patrolling of Altmere, and a search of Khaelieth’s residence, may produce some leads. * Following the Training Session those interested should report to Swagger's Inn for the Battle in the Lost Lands!
One of my last requirements to 'earn' my Watchman's Trial is a Training Session! As we seem to not be having many of these lately, I shall be running one myself. An opportunity to pick up on those old commands and prepare us in our duties as guardsmen. Citizens also welcome for the experience!

Happy to report a fine expedition was completed as requested, sir! In AttendanceSerj Eason, Watchman (Leading) Tyrael Styx, Junior Grenadier Carolin Kazami, Commoner Expedition Notes* We were able to slay many more than the required number of Golden Harpies. * 25,115 gold raised. * 2000 feathers retrieved. * Junior Styx demonstrated how to give orders in the heat of battle! * Carolin is continuing to impress as an able archer! * At the suggestion of the Citizen, we withdrew from the Harpy Nest in a slow, orderly fashion. * Dropped a banner at the entrance to the Nest as the many corpses displayed Covian prowess!
