1  Element boards / The Church / Knight Errant: By the Will of the Church and might of the Order. on: October 27, 2018, 11:12:57 pm

Brothers,

I write this report to address my decree that I shall be embarking upon a most divine quest of holy errantry, using the skills of the knight to spread the word of our Lord highest, praise him, and with the sword blessed to me strike down his foes who Harker the Ballard of the Guardian, let them fools be damned, for they are beyond redemption by now, the Avatar looks out for all of us, who be faithful it is our sacred duty to remove the taint that is not of the Ankh.

It was the eve of yesterday where the good Inquisitor of Yew did inform he that Avatar willed, I be raised to Initiate, and so I stood a better man and a better servant to Faith and Order, I have been armoured befit my rank and now with the recent matter of the damned under vast control the still remnants of Guardians taint do roam the realm, let it be known from Cove to Yew, to Britain and Jhelom, and across the realm, the Templi do hunt the evil that plagues this beautiful land.

I take with me only the tools of my trade prepared for war and peace.

Should I fail in my mission and be slain then it was willed so allow a better man to rise up and take my place.

In Hoc Signo Vinces.

Signed

Mordred Cassiuel, Initiate.

OOC-

Naturally the best move was to call a halt to roleplay on Ultima Online, because my career in the Army is just starting off now, I have decided that with the Church of Cove on break, and myself having to depend on the Yew chapter for advancing my trials that being in either guild right now was not needed, as I would not be online. I will perhaps return in the future, but naturally my hand in forced right now.

Sir Mordred however will be acting as a Knight Errant of the Church, travelling far and wide and solving quests and such to spread the word of the Avatar as is the nature of his character to do such in a good way.

Below are the two screen shots for proof of my characters promotion, pushing that aside I've had a fantastic time roleplaying with the Cove and Yew and Vesper roleplayers of Europa, and would not hesitate to reccomend them.

Anyway thank you for now, and perhaps see you folks around Smiley

2  Element boards / The Church / Templi Scouring of the Realm; A Matter of the Damned. on: October 14, 2018, 02:17:23 am

Brothers,

I write this letter in good faith and prey it is delivered whole and that the messenger reaches the bastion of our chapter unharmed, for the contents you are about to read do list my report on a matter of the damned. The aftermath of the battle fought within our own borders of Cove agaisnt the undead flock of the Guardian had led me to address our Preceptor, and request permission to scour the realm and make sense of the undead rising power.

Alas I can not make sense of this renewed strength reeking from the ranks of our foes, this taunts me it stirs me and leaves me restless the peasantry believe it is the month where they are at there strongest, the minor nobility and fighting class think alike, the faithful true of heart do believe we are being tested, perhaps it is a mixture of both for we are always being tested. Below I have listed the fiefdoms I have visited and scoured thoroughly to find the root of our problems.

Barony of Cove: Whilst the Undead are strong here; the presence of our own Chapter and the Baronial Forces keep them at bay; failing that our fortifications are strong and will hold should they decide to sally out and besiege us.

Republic of Vesper: Strong, there numbers here match the same as Cove, alas I believe the heathens have little fear and would welcome the Guardians flock with open arms, we should pay higher attention to the border now, until this problem withers away.

Royal Britain, Capital City: The Royal Army keeps the undead penned here and controlled, whilst I did see a heightened threat I have no doubt the Kings men will find struggle and cause to muster anymore aid other than sell swords to free up there own men, we need not worry about the capital city, though keeping contact will do no harm.

Shire of Yew: I stood upon the battlements and gazed down from the tower towards the sight of there undead burden, I have not spoken with the junior officer since I set out on my errant, I shall attempt to make contact when I can. The citizens of Yew are devout and faithfull they field a Militia yet lack the fortifications I shall make my way there in person soon, unless another can make haste before me.

The Valorian Isles; Jhelom: Whilst the undead presence here is strong this fiefdom boasts many warriors of the sell sword status, young and old and with much experience, after surveying the defences I believe this location is firmly contained for now, a veteran Serjeant at Arms, has reassured me this I have noted the Ankh around his neck and I am content with this routiers words.

The Verity Isle; Moonglow: I had come here for the faithful the farmers the workers and the lower classes, who lived outside of the stone walls. I have seen the undead numbers here, and I currently still remain here holding training, to tutor the basics of the spear and what swords there folk can field, for whilst the undead remain contained, some are pouring out of the graveyard and exploring the farmlands, so be it let it be known the Templi Order does not abandon the faithful in there time of need; I shall remain here when I am satisfied the fyrd can at least defend there selves; I am confident a member of there cities men at arms, shall replace me soon.

Duchy of Trinsic:
The city of honour fields more Paladins than any other of the realm, these knights shall keep the city and it's people safe alas the real threat is within the untamed jungles, fortunately very few venture out here and what territory is claimed is fiercely guarded by many a landed Lord with his own forces; strong in faith and arms I had no reason to remain for long.

March of Minoc: The frontier town remains and devoid of the damned, I have noticed they boast men at arms, well equipped and well guarded with no threat other than that looming mountain pass, I have no fear Minoc shall be harmed nor its citizens who pledge there faith to the Avatar; praise him.

With this list comes my reports and findings my activities and my worries, I urge any Brothers free and able to investigate the fiefs I have placed concern upon.

In Hoc Signo Vinces.

3  Element boards / The Church / Report: A Matter of the Damned. on: October 01, 2018, 10:05:28 pm

Preceptor,

On this day the first of October did Captain Raiden Harper Moranda, lead a great host fielding the men of the Baronial Forces, and the men of Yew's Militia Guard, with the purpose of assaulting the graveyards of Cove, I write this letter personally to yourself so you may know, that the dead walking there are not the weaker flock we have dealt with in the past.

They are iron, a greater flock armed for warfare with the tools of trade carried by our own, there Lich's command them as always, and they nest within the cemetary of Yew also, the Militia Lance Corporal, whom I spoke to on this night did tell me such. and I take her word as true, let it be known she spoke further that the dead of Yew posed a greater threat.

Yew lacks the stone castles of Cove, it lacks the walls and is held safe only by it's fighting men, alas the affairs of the realm do not concern me the oppisition of the Guardian to our faith does, we as the Avatari Militant, must respond to this threat the faith of the populace does seem weaker, perhaps we are all being tested by the Avatar or mocked by the Guardian.

I know not the answer to that for I am but a humble servant to Templi and Church, I ask permission to scour the realm and witness for myself the gathered forces of our foes, for if they be not only in the fiefdoms of Cove and Yew then we have a greater problem at hand, I shall if you accept my request report to yourself and any of my peers so that a council may decide on the course of action.

I do fear for the lives and safety of the faithfull who are scattered and isolated, I prey you receive this message swiftly Preceptor for I believe swift action must be taken.

4  Element boards / The Church / Report: The Treasures of the Trinsic Woods. on: September 24, 2018, 09:41:37 pm

Templi Present:

Mordred Casseiul, Squire.

Date:

Twenty Third day of September.

Location:

Trinsic Moongate; Muster Point, Outskirts of Trinsic Jungles, and Forest for the Hunt.

Preceptor, I write this report to yourself to inform you of the activity's of the Baronial forces, led by the good citizen Elaine Crow, for on the day of this report, she did request fighting men to accompany her upon a treasure hunt, from which she gathered information of the lost wealth with the use of her map reading ability's.

Accompanying her on this expedition, Captain Raiden Harper Morana, and a handfull of the Barons fighting men, myself present to ensure the Church receives it's tithe in all equality and that we are not cheated from the riches discovered this day.

I shall report to thee that the treasure was located on three occasions, and with each chest discovered did the Guardians flock, damn them, appear and assail us only to be slain with fire and sword, the will of the Avatar, praise him, carried out there and then.

On each finding did the good Elaine Crowe offer fourth the Churchs fair and just share, in gold and item from which I did make the decision, to take the coin as the arms and armour and trinkets discovered prooved better melted down to the forge, and recycled for the equipping of our forces both Church and Baronial.

All gold taken has been accounted for and placed within the chest of the Cathederal, praise the Avatar highest, these alms should be put to good use for our sacred cause.

Elaine Crowe, has mentioned a chest remains present outside a Shrine, though I know not the virtue which this Shrine represents, I have stated this will be for the Church to retrieve with her aid due to the connection, none of the Barons forces did dispute.
When time becomes available I shall set out with a small force to retrieve this chest, should it still be there I trust it shall be waiting for us.

I conclude this report Preceptor.

5  Element boards / The Church / Squire Trial: A Treatise on the Seven Virtues of the Avatari Faith. on: September 18, 2018, 04:30:13 pm
Mordred Cassiuel, Reflections on the Seven Virtues of the Avatari Faith.

'Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloria'.

Preceptor It is here and now I as named on the title, do pen my reflections upon the seven virtues of the Avatari Faith and what I have learned of the virtues, how I as a servant of thee church do embody them in my life and where I find myself wanting improvement, so that I may champion the seven as a Knight of the Templi should.
So I shall begin with my treatise of the faith and what I have learned of them during my time as a Templi Squire.

Sacrifice.

The Avatar, praise him made the highest of sacrifices when he did follow this virtue and give his life so we may be free of sin, it is our duties to remind the folk of the realm from the highest noble to lowest of peasant, be the sacrifice in the form of wealth or with body it must be done, and it should never be easy, for then it is not truly sacrifice.

To embody this virtue like all squires before me in tribute we present our wealth and possessions before the Church of the Chapter we choose to swear fealty towards, for myself and my forbearers this is the Church of Cove, as I have said there is more to sacrifice than wealth.
Our greatest test comes from the physical realm, when we enter the fields of strife and must place others before ourselves, to take hits that could cost one of there life in defence of a brother who would of been laid low otherwise, nor to forsake a brother wounded on the field to save ones self like all others who have fought under the Redcrosse, I have also taken such blows, on the battlefield of the recent Crusade, to the incursion into the Doom Gauntlet, yet I do not boast or speak of such for Avatar was merciful to preserve my life so I continue to do his work for if the Avatar himself praise he, would not fear to make the sacrifice how could I be afraid, it is the will of our Lord that we champion this virtue.

The virtue of Sacrifice is marked by the symbol of a tear and the colour orange.

Valour.

Valour is the sword that defends all of the seven virtues, forever tested time and again, built upon the principle of courage, to demand and practice valour is to set the example for others, for in our war against the Guardians flocks we shall have much need of courage, and valour shall inspire the lowest to raise higher and be of service to church and land.
For it is the Avatar, praise him who sets the foundations for our valour, his courage to stand against the Guardian is legendary and we follow example, be it against the tides of the undead, or the hosts of monsters who dwell in the unsettled lands, or even against the hosts of the pagan, do we brandish the red sword and champion this virtue.

To show I have embodied this virtue, I need no words, I have more battles to come but those which I have fought in others can say I have displayed my valour, when the guardians damned set upon us I chanted the mantras of our church and felt no fear, where my courage would be example to any disheartened guardsman by my side, or where I would take the burden of leadership and lead such an attack as of recent.

To stay true to our teachings also when we did follow the defeated Vespian host, and offer salvation the courage to even forgive our foes and bring them into the true light, as a militum of the church I will continue to show my valour but never allow it to consume my mind, my actions are in name of the faith and not for myself to boast.

The virtue of valour is marked by the symbol of the sword, and the colour red.

Honour.

Founded upon the principles of courage and truth, honour is to stand for the truth regardless of the circumstances, it may be your honour is tested when the majority stand against you but to stay true and be unmoved is to display this virtue as a paragon, as our Lord Avatar did so during the darker times of Britannia.

An example of honour displayed physically, would be not to strike first at a non-evil being, for to do such a assail the weaker helpless folk would be most dishonourable, the virtue keeps us humane and in order and prevents many a good knight from straying to a darker path.

To embody honour in person, I may use the example of serving to the Church as a Squire, and not abusing the power laid before me, should I do such not only would I disgrace thy self but also tarnish the honour of both parties, for it is a heavy mantle of responsibility that rests on the shoulder of person in the Templi Order.

It is my duty to faith and order to continue my practices in an honourable fashion, I can only hope I am viewed in such light and continue to be so for my living days.

The virtue of honour is marked by the symbol of the chalice, and the colour purple.

Justice.

A virtue fiercely essential to conduct the workings of our Avatari faith, despite the Avatars most highest sacrifice to render man from sin, traces of such still remain, and we must exact Justice in form of law and punishment, as well with martial action on those who refuse to render there selves to the fairness of trial.

Justice is founded upon truth and love, the need for answer and the love that goes with correcting unlawful behaviour, it must be pure and raw and real and nothing must effect the decision, it is the wisdom that perceives what is right and wrong in human action.

To embody my justice let us say I was just in my right to make war with the Vespian pagan, for there sacrilege and slander towards our Avatari faith, for it does require strong casus belli to war our fellow man in an age where the guardians evil does still plague our realms.
Let us not forget our lawful branding of the Wytches, who we justly mark, for a greater good.

The virtue of justice is marked by the symbol of the scales, and the colour green.

Honesty.

Founded upon the principle of truth, what is the life a dishonest man but that of a sinner, a virtue there for the high respect of being truthfull to ones self and to his fellow man, it is most important to remain true and never to fall to the sin of the deceiver and to fill the air with lies, as a dishonest life brings only temporary gain, but forsakes the permanent.

I quote from the sources found within the scrolls of our Cathedral; Journal IX.

''To the self, be true. Honesty begins with the will to regard the Truth in one's heart. A true heart spreads its warmth to the home and across the entire world. In seeing the world in true form''.

The Authors name has been withered and lost but there words are well placed for we do set the example with out own behaviour that the lost and unguided may find salvation in following our example.

To embody the virtue of honesty, I can only remain true of my word, and to my character and never allow personal feelings to choose my decisions, for this will impact my honesty, though I feel I have been nothing but honest with my answers to my peers and brothers, may I be struck down should I stray from this path.

The virtue of honesty is marked by the symbol of the open hand, and the colour blue.

Spirituality.

Founded upon all three principles, Truth, love, and courage, spirituality is the focus of the inner being, to main the spiritual balance with ones self and the world around them, It is also the awareness of the love that unites one's own inner being to those around one.
Balance is important so that we may not stray to far from the order we create within ourselves, for to lean to far to one side is to lose that balance, fall victim to more malicious tones, to find true balance is never easy, allowing ones emotions to come into play can thrawt the composure achieved.

To embody this virtue meditations, are best placed and spiritual advise from my brothers and sisters, good prayer and confessions and spiritual guidance help maintain this virtue, my balance is often in check though when in combat I may stray though I have since learnt with good practice to keep it well in check and continue to work on my strides.

The virtue of spirituality is marked by the symbol of the most holy Ankh, and the colour white.

Humility.

The opposite of Pride, and independent of all the principles of virtue, humility is about coming to understand one's place in the world, not according to the deeds won on the battlefield or through society, but by realising where you naturally belong as an individual, humility recognises the worthiness of all faithful beings, and how one views there selves amongst them, regardless of there choices made in the world.
To remain humble is no easy feat in such a world we live in but through the faith and understanding this can be achieved, I shall quote the sentence found within the scrolls from where much of my research has come.

"Claim not to be that which thou art not. Humble actions speak well of thee!"

To embody this virtue, I hath learnt to take no pride in my victory's personally nor by the incursions I lead I do not label them as deeds done by myself but under guidance from the Avatar for it is he who preserves us all on the fields of duty that we Templi champion.

The virtue of humility is marked by the symbol of the Shepperd's Staff and the colour Black.

On Compassion the False Virtue.

Though not a sin, compassion is not a virtue. The bane of vigilance and justice, where one could allow there feelings to corrupt the true verdict of lawful trial. Compassion is most certainly not considered holy and exists only to test the will and piety of true Avatarians.

Fortunately we are tutored upon this and can continue to correct any led astray by the false spreading of this action.

Conclusion and final words:

With all of the seven virtues described and my own understandings presented, with how I embody the virtues and where I wish to improve my own furthering of knowledge, I conclude my treatise on the virtues and the false virtue, I pen this to you Preceptor on the hope that you shall review this and accept the treaty as worthy towards my Initiate trials.

Signed.

6  Element boards / The Church / Squire Trial: The Purging of Vesper's War Dead. on: September 18, 2018, 02:04:23 am

Templi Present:

Mordred Casseiul, Squire.

Baronial Guard Present:

Evelyne Thenasa, Senior Guardsmen.

Guardsmen Militia of Yew:

Aries Harper, Lance Corporal.

Ellister, Footman.

Date:

Seventeenth day of September.

Location:

Barony of Cove, Muster point. Republic of Vesper; Vesperian Cemetary.

Preceptor, on the seventeenth day of September and within accordance to the order of my trials, I have assembled a unified force of men at arms hailing from the Barony of Cove and the Militia forces of Yew, where we did muster in good number for a night of holy labour to grant peace and freedom to the risen Vesper dead.
I had chosen to venture into the realm of the Pagan to bring enlightenment, upon there populace so that there folk, high and low may know the Avatars gauntlet is extended to offer them salvation.
First to the muster came good Evelyne, senior guardsmen of the Barons men at arms, second the faithful character Aries Harper, Lance Corporal of Yews Militia, and last to join this assembled host was a footman named Ellister, familiar faces who did partake in Crusade and incursion unto the Doom Gauntlet.
We ensured firstly we had been well provisioned, with bandages and supplies common for a march to battle, lastly to join the packs two torches, soaked in holy oil to ensure the glorious fallen would remain such when our swords and torches ended there enslavement.

MILITARIS VIR LUMINIS

Equipped adequately, and briefed properly by myself to all of the nights incursion, we made our way through the great forests, arms borne and armour worn, for the forests remain still plagued by monsters, we had halted four times I count to bring the verdict of death upon the harpy and the troll kind, whom assaulted us on our path, alas the Avatar would guide us in warding away such evil, already keen to see us fail.
It would not be this day because such a host though small in size, remained high in faith.

Militum Avatari.

Ruins, did greet us as we halted a former encampment no doubt, laid out with stone walls and elder chairs from better days, alas a quiet place to make prayer and remind the assembled, not to show malice towards any Pagan we would encounter, the scars of the war still lingered upon many who had lost friend and loved one during the conflict, sacrifice it must be reminded, no matter how hard the loss.
With the mantra of prayer upon our souls and the sign of the Ankh made, we had come closer to the Republic of Vesper, the sights of there buildings present, with no folk paying us mind or challenging our being we soon came before the wrought iron gates of the Vesperian Cemetery, and before all our eyes did we sight the walking corpses of the war dead.

Sigillum militum Avatari.

We four did make a battle formation, two to the flanks, men of Yew in mail and plate, and beside myself in the centre the senior guardsmen, in the armour Barons choice of plate, regardless the shield of faith defended us, I stepped fourth to challenge the Wytch or whatever Lich did control these minions, but all I received back in answer was the jestfull reply of a goat, a living white goat which did but mock us in the voice of a woman, never to matter we do not play the mummers farce, open did the gates swing and forwards came men of iron driven by faith, and the slaughter of the Wytches minions began, the Guardians flock were numerous, pouring from elder buildings, in small droves they came, unorganised like a peasants rebellion.

But just as I have been tutored by my peers they did attempt to flank us alas our weapons worked the labours of our faith, and again fell the dead, free of the Guardians servitude.
We spared no animal we found wandering that cemetery, for we knew the Wytch had her familiars present, and they did to join the growing pile of her scattered forces, we sought out the source of the Wytch, scouring the crypts till we came upon one with a staircase that descended down.

Together we went and were greeted such heresy, praise the Avatar for I know he shielded our souls from what shocked are gathered eyes, a nest of Wytchcraft; the symbol of the pagan carved into the wall and fed with the corpses of the fallen, torsos the brains the limbs, yet devoid a Wytch or Lich.

Testis sum agni.

Driven by our fervour to annihilate this evil we decided we would pass through the old stone halls, in such hope of locating the source of this bedlam, and so we did and we entered a dark cavern where only the light of our faith would pierce through, and past these ancient halls we came up to witness a land of plenty, as Aries Harper pointed out, Delucia, devoid of much undead and a vast realm, as Ellister of Yew remarked, he had seen almost all of Sossaria, from the corners of the known world, but never had he roamed such fields.
I had decided whatever lurked here it was not the Wytch we hunted, the trails of corpses did not exist here, though I mark it as a point of interest other priority's come first.

Back through the caverns, back through old stone halls, and halting at the site of bedlam, where we did sight a floor board, with a strange sign Evelyne did remark we should not press it and I could not agree more, we had a hunt to continue.

In hoc signo vinces.

From the slits of my helms visor did I take in the aftermath of our fighting, we had rendered the Wytches forces low and piled them all together, as we re-entered the elder building, I spotted a white shroud, a woman's shroud, and it called to me in insult, and I knew then this was the item keeping the Wytches spirit here, for her physical force was now gone.

I yanked it with my shield hand and placed it upon the heaping pile, where Aries Harper had prepared the kindling with Ellisters aid, with the assistance of Evelyne, we struck the torches of faith and allowed there fires to form, where I chanted a mantra of holy prayer and put the foe to the torch, the second flame followed, and the last taunting of the Wytch filled the air only to be killed away as the shroud burned.

With our duties done we departed together, I am confident we struck this location at the correct time, had we delayed the Wytches flock would have only grown greater.

I conclude this report Preceptor.

Signed

Mordred Casseiul, Squire.

7  Element boards / The Church / Re: Squire Trials: Mordred Casseiul on: September 09, 2018, 11:56:23 am
His gloved hand raised to his face and up came up the hounskull visor of his basinet helm, the cool fresh breeze of the Britannia morning greeting him, he lifted the helm of war from his head, and removed his gloves well used from training with the sword and shield, he soaked his hands within a plain bowl of water and washed his face, his militant training of the day concluded for now, sword and shield the tools of the Templi trade sheathed and slung.

Presentable, the squire took his place before the alter for his morning prayers, Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini Tuo da gloriam, echos of the churches tounge, through the hall of the Avatar, praise him. And as he finished his spirutal tribute he rose from the cold stone works, and turned to be greeted by a priest of the Order.

A scroll handed to him, the parchment containing what he assumed marching orders, the squire made the sign of the Ankh and the priestly father returned the action, he dismissed himself and went to his chamber to begin to read the words of the Preceptor and now here it was as his Brother Danaeyl had spoke himself the trials of the Initiate.

Mordred reached for parchment and began to pen his reply.

Preceptor,

His will be done, I shall set thee commands into motion and answer with action, and accomplish these most holy duties.

8  Element boards / The Church / Doom Incursion: Templi Battle Report. on: September 04, 2018, 10:12:28 am

Templi Present:

Roland Dagorian, Knight Templar.

Mordred Casseiul, Squire.

Date:

Second Day of September.

Location:

Barony of Cove, muster point. Malas, the Doom Gauntlet.

Preceptor, on the second day of September following mass and the prideful victory parades to conclude the Baronial war with the Vesper heratics, did a host of volunteer soldiers from the Alliance of Cove and Yew muster outside the barracks with the intentions to begin armed incursions into the Doom Gauntlet, located within the region of Malas.

Sir Roland Dagorian, and myself Mordred Casseiul did accompany this said host to provide strength of arms and spirit with sword and prayers, our faith to guide them and our swords to support them, praise the Avatar for his knights would be required on such a ardous path.

We hath began the incursions with the muster and stepping through thee summoned portal to find ourselves within a dark and uncertain location, the Doom is by all means a most wretched hive of the guardians villianry, the scent of evil and malice filling the damp sickly air we breathed, the walls of the dungeon ancient and latched with old webs and chains, a dungeon once now a bastion of the guardians damned.

Torches were lit, the bright flames fighting the enroaching darkness that sourrounded our companions, and sword axe and mace drawn, vigal to do battle with the hosts that awaited, and soon to come they did as melee broke out through the ancient hallways and passages, combined with our mantra of prayer did we free the walking corpses that came our way from the guardians servitude, praise the Avatar for no matter how vile this nest was he was with us in spirit and lent us courage and valour to continue the fight.

As the melee's died down our host found ourselves before a most bewitching sight the pentagram, carved five times into the ground and stones of a bygone age sourrounding them, we had little time to catch our breathes, for the guardians mad flock descended upon us again, the walking dead from all angles as tutored to me in my martial training, came upon us wildly, we applied the tools of our trade and with fire and sword dispatched them, piling there red bones high to bait fourth a greater evil.

In Hoc Signo Vinces!

Come fourth it did and as the last of the corpses fell did the atmosphere grow with heightened evil, and from the pile of bones did emerge a servant of the guardian, greater in height than any of the host, battle is a confusing sight but I swear I saw the black cloak of my peer charge first, the sight of a templar knight in warfare is one to behold and aspire to, his warcry that of the churches tounge ' Non Nobis,Domine,Non Nobis, Sed Nomini tuo da Gloriam!', I followed the example of my peer and did the crashing sound of our hosts arms and armour follow suite, a wave of steel and divine action carried by the might of the Avatar enougth to destroy this greater evil.

As the evil slowly dispersed and the dust settled, we found ourselves the victors, giving our joint prayers to the Avatar and pleasing him I hope with our displays of courage and valour, the first victory was but a slant to cleansing our world of the guardians taint.

The combined forces gathered our strengh and pressed onwards, again melees erupted through the ancient hallways and passages, the undead comming from the shadows to assail us bringing only the desire of death with them, and receiving there own offer back, freeing them of the guardians servitude, the doom gauntlet consists of many older hallways and passages but always concludes with a new chamber, and within each chamber expect to find little rest but much opposition. We found ourselves through such a chamber and the size of the foes we now did battle with grew larger than any man I have seen, relentless and savage describes these foes the best always unholy in sight.

They came upon us again and our militant host was beset on all sides, they crashed against us like water does rock, our mantra and prayers lending us spiritual strength as we held the tide clear refusing to yield the foe unlike man never tired Sir Roland Dagorian again organised the forces and we charged with the divine fury of our faith, cutting down the relentless adversary and gracefully granting them to rest.

With no opposition we took time to rest and replenish ourselves, arrows needed gathering and wounds needed tending to, some broke out whetstones and sharpened there weapons, then we said prayers and continued to the next chamber no doubt another one of the guardians upper echelon awaiting us.

The next chamber was very odd I sighted a lifeless vessel a boat under here docked, close to it a shrine of sorts with a bell. And with this bell one must summon a ferryman forwards, the cost is weighed in gold though I did not pay the fee another did a leader of our host, and we crossed the lake and when we landed no foes awaited, I understand this is the part where the Doom adds on the name of Gauntlet and where the fighting would only grow more vicious.

And more vicious did the fighting become where despite our prayers and force off arms did we take many hard blows, I write this from a desk with the aid of a brother much more learned in writing, for my body has taken many a wound, I thank the Avatar praise him for his protection, as the rest of the nights events become more unclear to me, I remember fighting hard pressed within another chamber emerging victorius only to enter another where we were set upon by multiple beasts that only doubled as you slew them, where there was much chaos and disorder, and many a fighting man was struck down hard, myself included in the lists, regardless we had won that encounter this is as much as I know but my fight ended there and I departed with Sir Roland Dagorian, and others of the host not in defeat but with tactical withdrawel.

There shall be much more bloodshed before the Guardians flock are laid low here, I have faith it can be achieved.

I conclude this battle report Preceptor.

Signed

Mordred Casseiul, Squire.

Through the slits of his hounskull's visor the squire, weary from his martial training allows his eyes to soak in the words of the Initiate, the matter of warfare against the heathens taking his highest notice.

He knew full well the righteousness of his brethren, and there holy quest against the foes of thee Avatar, and as he scanned the words pressed on the parchment he mechanically nodded his armoured head.

With a neutrel tone he spoke the words muttered by many a templar before him, then followed with words of the task. ' His will be done, if it is supplies we need then we shall have them'.

He sheathed his broadsword into his scabbard, and lifted his helm from his head, slung his oaken shield and pushed open the great wooden gates of the Cathederal, lux ostio, sacred ground where he would prey this morning, before departing again to continue his knightly training, and later embark on thee said quest for the orange petals.

A Miles in Bello, to be ready for the battles to come.

Commanding Templar
Danaeyl, Templar Initiate.

Squires in Attendance
Joachim Charron
I, Mordred Cassiuel

Clergy in Attendance
Augustine Sumner

Good, Father.

I, Mordred Cassiuel, Squire to the Templar order have been tasked by Initiate Danaeyl to report to thee in letter the matter of events that concluded last night.

It was after your holy precense left us at the chapel Father, that myself and Squire Joachim were gathered by Brother Danaeyl and informed we would be under his trusted command to seek the owner of the Necromatic Scrolls, accompained by the good Augustine Sumner who aided his judgement in deciding we would attend to him and follow his command in battle.

Fearless and secure in body and mind our souls protected by our faith and our bodies by the armour provided by the order we descended upon the graveyard, rightfully armed we feared no foe before us and with the tools of our trade we banished the flock of the Lich. And when the corpses fell and peace settled are eyes sought clues to the location of the vile fiend, the good Cleric Augustine Sumnar, tracing the foul magic for the Lich's location.

As the cleric performed her duties the Lich's flock began to rise again, myself and my brother squire Joachim Charron barred the door, and firmly did we hold turning back the foe away and allowing our brother to oversee the good clerics holy ritual, our time on the training yard put to practical use rightly stopping the advance of the undead strays who came upon us.

His will be done, praise him as the Lich did expose it's self to our presence, no doubt forced out of hiding by the clerics holy ritual and with our fervour did we descend upon the fiend and enforce the will of our Avatar with the tools of our trade, fire and steel bringing all but ruin to the agent of darkness, leaving naught but bones and ashes in wake of victory.

Brother Joachim did wisely light up a torch and before he set the Lich to flame, the good Cleric Augustine blessed thee fires sanctifying them, the foul creature upon contact shrieked and in pain succumbed to divine judgement, praise the Avatar highest, with the Lich defeated we took are leave back to the holy chapel, where we rested are bodies and received spiritual nutrition on thee subject of Humility.

Are answers were accepted well and Cleric Augustine tutored us on the subject, we are most thankfull of her guidance.

This concludes my report good Father, on all the nights events.

Praise the Avatar, Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!

Signed
Mordred Casseiul
Squire to the Templar Order

11  Element boards / The Church / Report: Wytches branded. on: August 10, 2018, 01:23:32 am
Dear Templar Brethren.

Tonight, I Mordred Casseiul, Squire to the Templar Order under the guidance of the Avatar and good Father have carried out most holy duties.

It is with the tools of are trade fire and steel, did the guardswomen, Aralin Eroecia and Hope Tyrell, submit to the Avatars just will and allow his flames to purify there flesh, the first to be branded was Aralin Eroecia, who showed her devotion to our Avatar, may he be praised highest, it was a swift branding and well executed with no doubts to raise concern.

Alas thou must now press concern to the subject of Hope Tyrell, for though she did give herself willingly, upon the branding of the flesh, she did but collapse and faint, I swear I witnessed the evil of the Guardian leaving her body at this moment, if she was such tainted before, will her bloodline or kin be the same, I ask for any of my senior Brethren to review such and educate me on this matter.

To conclude my report, and summarise with the exception of my concerns to the Tyrell bloodline, I am glad to report all is in order and the brandings have been swiftly executed, myself will return to my martial and spiritual training.

Praise the Avatar, Deus Vult!

Signed
Mordred Casseiul
Squire to the Templar Order.
