After several hours of preperation the Summer fete was finally ready, although not all went to plan I think everyone who attended enjoyed the event.
Proceedings began with the steady flow of guardsmen entering and taking a seat at our makeshift outdoor bar, Rulk was running freely on tap and several other options of drinks were also available. Kas showed his impressive bar tending skills to all and kept the mugs filled faster than people could empty them. A group from Trinsic turned up as things were getting under way and helped to add numbers and conversation to the crowd.
The boxing was the first compeition to be played out, though the lack of teams put forward was a little disappointing, Cove showed the way though by putting through two teams. The teams names were The Red Tornado entered by Melior and Cowin, Kado Pleasures Ises by Gael and Abrafo and The Crimson Jowls by Aylmer and Corwin from Trinsic.
The first bout was fought by Kado's team verses the Red Tornado, the fighting was fierce and Melior found herself beaten back into a corner many times by the Celt, tapping out to her partner brought some reprieve but Kado seemed too strong for both of them and soon had him on the ropes also. Next up was Team red Jowls to face the Celtic duo but they swiftly met the same fate as it seemed none could stand against Kado's punches.
We had a break from the boxing for a different game, the Rulk and Pie race. This was a novelty race with three stations the competitors had to run to, the first consisted of a drink of rulk and a pie, the second a drink of rulk and a hat, the third a drink of rulk, another hat and another pie. They then had to run or mostly stumble back to the finishing line. Sadly again the number entered was low and this time only by Covians. With Rulk Industries' own Thomas Aylmer coming first place
The final bout of the boxing took place between The Red Tornado and The Crimson Jowls to see who would be placed second and third place. To which the Crimson Jowls came out victorius.
Finally was the prize giving, although by then many had left. Kado eagerly accepted his prize for the boxing champion alongside his partner Abrafo. The best dressed awards went to Mordred for best dressed male, Melior for best dressed female, Cowin for best dressed singleton and Corwin with his partner Brynhild for best dressed couple. Aymler then accepted his first place award for the rulk and pie race. Kas then helped to make the final speeches of the night before people were left to finish off the drinks and pies that hadn't been eaten.
