Why are they adding new crap, when they have not fixed the stuff they have?  Its like buying a $200 junk car and putting a $1200 stereo in it!  Sounds great, does not run for shit! 

I say fix what we have before moving on!

At the end of the day, without sounding like a disgruntled player, companies are only interested in your money. They will hook players on content that will have been pushed to a release date and thus incomplete, the players this content draws in will cling on waiting for a fix for this pushed content only to find more content is being released to boost the sales and subscription life of the game, and the cycle continues - The publishers push for a release date to get the money whilst interest is still peaked, and as soon as they have your money they'll do what they need to do to keep you interested, rather than go back on old news that doesn't pay at all.

A bit like television. Adverts aren't there to insert a break between the programs, the programs are there to get the audience to sit down and hope that they sit through the adverts so that people buy what they see and those companies and keep on advertising with the channel - If anything, the PROGRAM you're watching is the advertisement, to entice viewers to sit through adverts. Sky One is a classic for this, their adverts are about 10 minutes long each interval - They'd happily show you an hour of adverts but no one wants to sit through that, so they throw on 15 minutes of whatever happens to be on hand to keep up your interest (and hope you'll want to stick around and not miss the next half) in order to get you to sit through the adverts.

Game or not someone is still (presumably?) paying real-life money for the experience, and for that to be wiped is apparently an offense. If he gave her the account details then I don't think any prosecution will occur, maybe a minor fine...

In the UK this would be a civil issues dealt with through the courts, or more probably just thrown to the side for the moronic claim that it is; point being is it wouldn't be taking up the police's time, though other countries operate differently, and assuming there is no 'civil court' to deal with these matters and the police are dragged in, I'd conclude that there are more police over there on average than over here to account for there 'civil' cases.

But bottom line is you're right - What a dumb dumb

People have roleplayed gargoyles in the past; not too common but they have - Dwarves and Elves aren't so far fetched and whilst you might find them more prominent in high-fantasy guilds like Vesper, DoT etc, their appearance (at least as a game mechanic) is unheard of in guilds like BoC & Grd.

I can pretty much assume gargoyles will be a write-off for the two guilds above, and may only appear as special characters - In both cases, I think the churches will be pretty keen to get them swiftly executed!

Far worse has happened, such as people actually murdering players in the real-world for something that happened in a game. It's particularly prominent in Korea where internet cafe's are plentiful.

It might sound stupid that the police got involved for an online murder, but lift off the context and it's simply hacking someone's personals, which is a crime!

It's too early to say without specifics; even the website only features one skill so far.

As for the Gargoyles, I doubt they will make an appearance in the community due to their horse-galloping speed, if not that, then for reasons of high fantasy.

She also can not sit still for more than 10 minutes. We decided to watch 'In Bruges' last night after being advised to do so on another P.H thread.

The films starts

10 minutes in.

Her: "I am just off to make a cup of tea"

Me: "Do you want me to press pause on the DVD"

Her: "No, it's fine, don't worry. I'll only be a couple of minutes".

She finally gets back to the living room after around 15 minutes. Where she has been, I do not know, but I do know that, as a blonde, she is easily distracted and that she has probably happened upon something that grabbed her attention and took her into La La Land.

Her: "I'm back"

Me: "So you are"

Her: "Did I tell you about my meeting with the Managing Partner today?"

Me: "You mentioned it in the car earlier"

Her: "Did I?"

Me: "Yes"

Her: "Well, it was a productive meeting and he agreed to sign off the proposal I had sent to him last we...."

Me: "Em, I am trying to watch the film"

Her: "No need to be rude, I was only trying to talk to you about work"

Me: "That's fine, but I am trying to watch the film"

Her: :a pause: "what's happened so far?"

Me: "2 men have been sent to Bruges"

Her: "Why are they in Bruges?"

Me: "I am not being funny, but if you have let me press pause earlier I would not have to press pause now in order to explain things to you"

Her: :silence:

Her: "Not a lot happening with this film, is there?"

Me: "You need to give it some time to get going"

Her: :silence: :gets up:

Me: "where are you going now?"

Her: "The cat is at the door. He wants to be let in"

Me "You only let him out a short while ago"

Her: "But he wants to come in"

Me: "FINE, let the damm cat in then"

Her: "There is no need to get angry. He is only a cat"

Me: "I am not getting angry with the cat. Can, can we just sit down and watch the film, please?"
