please excuse me as im still a little flustered and nauseous having seen the cap'ns knees!
attendees were
ludwik blookaxe recruit
raiden morana  -the boss-
kelly sanderson sargeant
hoagie sargeant
visitors from buccs den and vesper

sargeant hoagie as the winner of justice's last event agreed to help out at the refreshment station

the athletes arrived and then changed into their running gear.
I explained the rules to the gathered competitors and then opened a portal to sarge hoagie's new and handsome abode and said the magic word  - GO -

i then shot off to the first checkpoint and saw a very close race between ludwik and the cap'n. followed closely by sarge sanderson asking if we had started yet!
about this time our guest runner had to drop out.
the athletes then attended the refreshment stop and received encouragement (i hope) from sarge hoagie.
i then waited to see the runners at the station outside the cemetery fully expecting the two men but no. to my surprise the cap'n approached but will sarge sanderson in close (very close) pursuit and despite making myself i a portal i only just beat them back but ...........builds up tension....
the winner was..........can you bear it?..................
SARGEANT SANDERSON BY A HEAD!
a very very close and exciting race indeed and ludwik wasnt far behind.
after checking all athletes had collected the random items we went to the parade square where i placed a golden box in the corner.
in the tradition of events that i run i had placed 3 items chosen by sargeant hoagie and the winner would select their prize.
I announced the winner as sargeant sanderson and in true sporting fashion we applauded here though im sure i saw a prod in her ribs by the cap'n though that may have been an illusion!
the sarge seemed pleased with her prize and well deserved!
next up was the captain himself and again thunderous applause greeted the announcement.
third prize to ludwik, he seemed disappointed by coming 3rd but iwill reiterate that people that challenge themselves will always win. and he was well applauded.

we indeed have athletes in cove and perhaps further on this year they may get the opportunity to prove we can be the best in the community
