The golem engineers were raking in the coin, charging thousands for their constructions and the contestants were checking their fighters for any last minute problems.
The golems stood solemnly at one end of the arena before being called forth one by one by their operators and ordered to fight until the death. The crowd shouted their appreciation for the contests, their disapproval of mechanical malfunctions and their terror as one of the golems escaped the arena and trundled towards the the bleeches.
