A Bug Problem - Report (recruit task)

Finding myself alone again I decided to make good of my time and deal with those ants that had been causing the villagers a problem.   I set out to find one of the enterances to the tunnels and headed down it.



It wasn't long before I found myself face to face with the inhabitants of this dark realm, just glad these tunnels are not deep enough to be faced with any drow patrolling them.

I set about fighting my way through to find the nesting chambers where I knew the queens would be.



With the many twists, turns and layers of the ant's nest I found myself disorientated for a time.  I took a short time to gather my senses and listened to the sounds of the nest before deciding which way to turn.



As I turned the corner I spotted the eggs and a Queen tending them, melting into the shadows I prepared myself before leaping onto the back of the Queen and digging my weapon deep into the thick carapice.  Once I had dealt a deep enough wound I was left to dodge her acid attacks until finally she collapsed through lost of blood.



Claiming my prize I quickly headed back towards the surface, killing whatever stood in my way as I rushed to get out of those tunnels.




Coins gathered - 4500, coins given to the coffers 2250.
