In Command: Marcus Kobra, Company Medic

Reporting: Leander Le Blanc, Company Arcanist

In the morning on this 12th of April,

What with the increase in Undead activity around Cove lately, Marcus and I headed off to the motherland of Undead, Dungeon Deceit. Together we decided to smack some sense into the thick skulls of this vile Guardian spawn.

I wrought spells and Marcus wielded both sword and arcane magic to squelch these hideous abominations. I was repulsed by these creatures, but the mortal in me also felt fear. Seeing death staring you in the face is a most unpleasant experience.

Several of the rooms near the entrance showed evidence of sinful wytchcraft and necromancy.

As we traversed Deceit and made our way down to the lower levels we came across several prison cells. We checked for survivors but regrettably there were none to be found. The skeletons and remains of the virtuous lay scattered throughout the the dungeon. I pray for their lost souls.

As we ventured deeper we came upon many shrines no doubt devoted to Guardian. Using a fireball conjured in my hand I set flame to each place of worship we encountered. As the magic using Undead descended ravenously upon us, we kept our healing and curing very tight.

I hath included some sketches of our excursion below:

Several mummies came after us as well. When we pulled off their wrappings they were nothing short of disgusting. Words can nay describe them. Their bodies looked sort of like a boil or a plague-sore, perhaps... or an embossed and pus filled carbuncle. 'Tis seeing things like this that make me overjoyed to be alive.

We discovered that there were a series of levers throughout the chambers. Upon depression they yielded new paths to explore. We threw skeleton after skeleton back into the abyss, but they just kept coming. Their bones reanimated and they grew twice in number for each one we cut down. We decided to slowly work our way back to the entrance, proudly surveying the damage we hadst done to their shrines. We hadst made our lesson known.

I forced open a portal to the barracks. Between the two of us we hadst raised 12500 gold coins from the Undead pillage. Nay a bad haul! Marcus hauled it up to the coffers and dismissed me.

For Cove and the Company! And may Avatar protect our souls!
