I found myself being the only Officer about on Saturday, until Keres made an appearance later on.  Things started off quite slowly and it seemed an unfortunate set of circumstances were to befall the market.  Firstly I found out from the Duke of Trinsic that Saturday was the memorial service for Clanin and they had gone to attend, it seems they had not recieved the invitation to the market in time.

Secondly there was an assailant at the market who seemed determined to upset not only our citizens but those visiting from Haven.

As mentioned above, the Duke of Trinsic arrived with a small escort and gave his apologies, I said that you and the others were holding a meeting about tonights battle.

I felt I should at least spend some time talking to him in your place, so we exchanged pleasentaries about how the towns are.  I informed him a little about Vesper's recent actions towards Cove, he added his sympathy which I suppose is all we can expect.

Towards the end of our conversation, Amelie was attacked from the shadows by the Assailant so I rushed to her aid, along with Kado and Keres.  She was not badly hurt so I took the opportunity to speak with her in regards to our recent contract.

It seems the one who was attacking at the market had also attacked the citizens of Haven recently.  She felt as though she was to blame for his presence at the market but I assured her she could not be.  It seems her confidence must of taken quite a knock recently as she also stated her worry at falling on bad terms with Cove.  She said they have not quite made up the money for our fee and will not be at a position to hire us again.  She also said that terms with Yew have improved somewhat and hopes that her friendly attitude will ensure it continues that way.

Just as the market was ending another attack occured, this time to Axiana, again the assailant was brought to the ground.  I decided that the civilians should head to the barracks as the Trinsic guard who was helping against the attacker could no longer lend his support.  There were also no other Mercinaries around at this point other than Kado and myself.

Whilst we sat talking in the Barracks a Yew Waywatcher arrived wishing to speak with yourself or someone else in charge.  She did not seem to take kindly to my presence and refused to speak with me, for some reason she thought I was going to eat the civilians inside.  She handed me a book, of which she believed you would find interesting, I will deliver it to you at the nearest convienent time.
