Faden sat in the Goblin slowly reading through his mail when he opened an order from command. Gather as many guardsmen as possible and head off to Tokuno to gather at least 30,000 gold coins.
The guardsman left the goblin without even having an ale and gathered 7 well trained guardsmen to aid him in completing his task.
Faden his fellow brothers and sisters of the Baronship headed to Isamu-jima. Hoagie quickly announced that their was ice wytch type of lady at the top of the long road so Faden decided they better head off in that direction. They walked for some time but encountered nothing but a few Birds and Rino type creatures. The came upon a house which was fine but recently abandoned, it would make a nice Summer home for the Baron.
They left the house and travelled East towards the coast. There was a rumour of a Dungeon near here. When they reached two huts near the coast only a few of the guardsmen could actually enter the Dungeon so they headed north along the coast instead. They were attacked by quite a few big boar/lion type creatures with sharp teeth.
Heading further north they found a few ruins and then a few wolfmen camps. These giant 3 headed wolves were a horror to be seen and they kept coming in waves. The guardsmen had to leave after while because the wolvemen were not giving up.
At this point Raven had to leave the group but he gave his remaining bolts to Faden which had ran out. They travelled north and encountered more wolvemen around a ruined shrine. Leaving the area by going north again the team were ambushed by thousands of lizzardmen which were efficiently slaughtered.
Time was pushing on now, nearly 2 hours had passed and the group were standing near a cave, ronins jumped out the trees and offered a challenge to the guardsmen. Upon reaching the Cave Hoagie needed to eat an apple or something so the guardsmen waited. Khaelieth started showing off his neon glowing stick... quite weird indeed!
They headed through the cave and entered a area that was freezing, a massive change from the lush green woodlands of Tokuno. Ice Witches appeared along with their snow elemental daemons. These creatures along with their mistresses were tough indeed. Someone found a boat at the furthest point North and the group headed off towards Zento. Their bags were bursting with gold.
When they arrived back at the Barracks the gold was collected and a massive sum of 57,200 gold coins lay shining in the sun on the steps.
30,000 gold was given directly to the coffers to complete the task (we had so much I doubled what was required). A few kind guardsmen donated their earnings to the coffers and the others left quite a bit richer.
It sure was a glorious day!
