Raiden had made it home safely. As he returned to work, Railen set about cleaning and organizing the Goblin in preparation for the crowd that usually came in late in the evening.  Buisness had been good as of late. She counted out their earnings for the past week and whistled. Awl perked his ears and sat up by the fire. "At ease little soldier. At ease* She chuckled as the pup wagged his tail and settled in to chew on the stew bone she had given him. Then she sat down over a cup of tea to write a note.

Dear Penny.

Kiran's worries over the income at the Goblin seem to be for naught.
I would like to meet with you soon to make payment into Coves coffers, for there is more than enough now to meet the needs of the establishment, and as the Goblin profits, so should all of Cove.

In good faith,
Railen Morana

She rolled the note and affixed it to a messanger bird and sent it on its way. Next, shecounted out the coin that would be needed to cover expenses. The staff had not come by on Saturday to pick up their wages, nor to work at the Casino. Hopefully this would not be a trend. She rubbed her belly as the child within her kicked again. She rubbed her belly. "Settle down there little one...we will go home and rest soon enough."

She double checked the Strong box, and secured the Key. Then washed her hands  to attempt once again to make the days bread. Mixing water, flour and yeast she began to kneed and shape the dough. She rubbed oil on the outside of the bread, as she had been shown to do, and placed it in the Oven. Then, she took her cooling tea to the couch.

...sometime later she awoke to Awl barking and jumping into her lap. She coughed and spluttered as smoke filled her nostrils.  "Shite! Tae bread!!" Quickly she got up, and grabbed a bar towell, pulling the tray from the oven. She went out the back door, propping it open, smoke from the burnt bread billowing from inside.  She set the tray aside, and propped open the windows and doors to clear the room.

"Good job lad" she said, scritching behind his ears. "Only next time, ye mind tellin me when its done, nae o'erdone?"
