“Another Watchman after the Covian Cap, eh? Let’s see what I can cook up for this one…”

Watchman’s Trial: Star Summers

Task One: Dealing with Dragons

To demonstrate your leadership, you must travel to the dungeon Destard, slaying all dragons in sight. A large part of this task is that you must collect a total of 20,000 coins on your travels.

Requirements:

*At least four other guardsmen must attend this hunt.
*If possible, dragon scales and/or leather must be gathered, also.
*The gold amount must be gathered as either an exact number or more, not less.

Task Two: Encouraging their Exercise

A main component of being a good guardsman is to keep physical exercise up to scratch. Because of this, a good exercise is in order for the guardsmen. A training session shall be held in the mountains, preferably near Altmere or near the Orc Fort. You shall use your imagination for this task, only using natural resources and your surroundings as fuel for ideas referring to your exercising tasks.

Requirements:

*At least four guardsmen must attend your training session.
*You shall provide non-alcoholic drinks for attendees.
*Tasks that you give them must be physically challenging.

Task Three: Protecting the People

Citizens need to feel safe in and around Cove. Your task is to interview three citizens of your choice on their views on their own personal safety on Covian soil. Make a report on your interviews. After yours interviews, you must produce a short handbook which concludes the findings of your interviews, including the positives and negatives of the Covian Army’s protection for them.

Requirements:

*You may complete this task alone.
*You must be polite with the citizens whom you interview, and attempt to provide constructive answers for constructive criticism they may give.

Final Requirement:

Full reports including sketches must be written below for each task.

Good luck, Watchman. Hope to see you in that Covian Cap soon!

*An encouraging sketch of the Guardsmen at the parade is drawn*

*Signed*

[OOC: Sorry I haven't posted my usual examples for these tasks, Summer. My computer is having a minor disagreement with me. If you are confused about anything, just send me a PM. I'll be happy to answer any questions. Smiley /OOC]

Encouraging their exercise

Attended by

Grenadier Sergeant Torrak Keres
Officer Cadet Kal Shadowhand
Officer Cadet Elizabeth Martin
Senior Arcanist Kas
Junior Grenadier Delferium (joined at end)
Junior Guardsman Gabriel Drachen
Watchman Ruby Whalebiter
Watchman Jassi Cowen

Last night I decide to try and do two tasks of my trials together.  First exercises to get us ready for fighting dragons.

I had everyone chop ten logs and bring back to the barracks to use for weights.

First exercise - lifting logs.  I showed them best way to lift to help muscles and stop injury.  By bending knees and lifting up and then standing and straigtening knees.

Next was rolling the logs in front of them whilst kneeling down.  This help build back and stomach muscle and arms when rolling logs back.  Can be hard work.

After we did sit ups, using logs to hold feet steady.  I show them good way to do sit ups with knees bent and then sitting up to touch knees with fingertips.

Finally we did cool down and some stretches to stop the muscles tightening up and causing stiff arms and legs.   After the training we went to Destard to kill dragons so was not time for refreshments.

(ooc I realised after I did not do training in the right place for requirements.  I will hold this another time if needed?)

Dealing with Dragons

Attended by

Officer Cadet Kal Shadowhand
Officer Cadet Elizabeth Martin
Senior Arcanist Kas
Junior Grenadier Delferium
Junior Scout Keane Wakefield
Junior Guardsman Gabriel Drachen
Watchman Abigail Keres

After the exercises we went to Destard to tackle the dragons.  We had to run a  guantlet as there was many large dragon.  One very big dragon moved too quickly for us to escape and we had to regroup outside to pick ourselves up.  Once everyone caught their breath we ran back in to gather things we had dropped to run away faster.

We almost ran into a whole nest of dragons and had to rely on the Arcanists to keep us hidden to confuse the dragons.  We stayed by the east wall where we found lone dragons to kill.  We thought we were going to be okay but then a big dragon appeared infront of us.  It had been hiding in wait and had us running for our lives again.  But we kept on coming back and killing the ones we could get to.

I not manage to make many sketches this time because it too dangerous to draw and was little time to catch our breath.  And it went very dark suddenly.
