Greetings Summers,

Seems you've steadily made good progress and feel ready ter try out fer the Grenadiers eh?

Let's see what yer made of. Here are your trials:

Ability To Fight ~ Trophy Hunt.

Grenadiers are fearsome warriors. Let's see if ye have what it takes in both strength of arm and knowledge of combat to venture to Tokuno and defeat some of it's most formidable beasts.

~ Lead a hunt for the "Axe Of A Yomotsu Elder" trophy.
~ At least 4 other Covians must accompany you, however I would suggest more.
~ Retrieve the trophy and also collect 30,000 coins for the coffers.

Loyalty.

On completion of these trials (if you don't die first) you will be welcomed into the Grenadier brotherhood. However this means the army will need replacements in the main block. You will lead a recruitment mission to New Haven and encourage adventurers to join the Covian army.

~ You will lead a recruitment stall and parade/tourney in the town of New Haven for no less than 45 minutes.
~ At least 4 other Covians must join you on this mission.
~ Decorate the town and portal with recruitment banners and place another 20 at your own leisure at prime locations throughout Sosaria.
~ Pin a full report including drawings beneath this notice.

Brotherhood.

The only way to fully appreciate the bond between fellow Grenadiers and also the relationship they share with the Baron is to witness it first hand. You will humbly seek to contact the Baron and arrange for a Grenadier escort to the location or event of his choosing.

~ Contact the Baron and along with yourself and our liege you will also rally at least 3 other Grenadiers or aspiring Grenadiers to carry out this duty.
~ You will escort the Baron wherever he wishes and ensure his safety at all times. Perhaps he'll wish to visit the Templar's winter faire or partake in the trinsic Rose's finest wines?
~ You will make a full report of whatever transpires on this mission, especially any insights you may gain into the Grenadier's brotherhood.

Discipline.

You will oversee the construction of a vast sentry post at the Altmere Guard tower. You will ensure those under your command work tirelessly in it's construction and then keep them busy once it is complete.

~ Construct a sentry post in the Altmere.
~ At least 4 other Covians must take part in this exercise.
~ You will despatch patrols along the road westwards to the crossroad's guard tower and eastwards to the Vesper crossroads to ensure the highways are safe for Altmerians to travel.
~ You will keep your party entertained whilst manning the sentry, through song, games or perhaps a good old fashioned fitness training. It is getting cold now afterall.
~ Post a full report below.

Once all these tasks are complete all that is left is the swearing of your oath and promotion into the Grenadiers.

Loyalty

There were a few of us doing not much at the barracks so I thought it be good time to get a start on things.  We headed to New Haven were I placed three of my first lot of banners, I will put up sketches of them all when done.

I sent everyone off to look for people that would come and watch our parade but it was very quiet in the town with just a few onlookers that didn't look that interested.

I started with some basic parade commands and everyone did really well with them.  After the parade I asked if anyone wished to have a duel, Sergeant Keres and Junior Scout Zakery stepped up to compete.  I felt the best place for the duel was on the tavern balcony because it had good obstacles and people could watch it safetly from the ground below.   The fight went of for a good while as they both seemed well matched but the Scout used poison to get the better of the Sergeant and finally got the upper hand in making him fall over. 

After the duel, I gathered everyone back up and dismissed them all.

Torrak and I headed to the mines first as the Scout group were still somewhere doing something.  We began to clear the forest on the way to the road and the mine when we were joined by Celuvian.  There seemed no end of the strange turtle creatures and earth monsters coming out of the woods at us.  We kept the healing tight and dealt with them as they came at us but it was hard work. 

In the mines we were joined by Zakery and the fighting got well underway.  We worked our way through the tunnels, pushing forward whenever we could to get away from them coming back too quickly.  As we got further in Raven managed to join us before we met with the Elder Yomoto.   Things didn't go too well at first and the healing got hectic but we pulled together and managed to do what we set out to do.

We then had to fight our way back out again because Celuvian had to leave us so our safe transport back to Cove was gone.  This helped us make up the required gold amount so when we finally got of the mines we could head back to the moongate and home to Cove.

Sorry I didn't get my sketches of the monster we went in for but the fighting was too much to be making drawings of.
