You've a fine reputation amongst the Army's Veterans, but it is likely that many of the newer troops aren't familiar with you. This trial will serve not only to judge your abilities and prepare you for service as a Grenadier, but also to introduce you to many of the newer soldiers.
Brotherhood
As stated above, while you've years of service more than the majority of the Army's currently mobilized troops, you're relatively unknown to them due to your time on leave. You are to design and run a training or other exercise of your choice focusing on teamwork, knowing each others' strengths and weaknesses, and reading one another's movements to aid in coordinating attacks. The format of this task is entirely up to you.
Ability to Fight
Your service in the Highlanders and Dragoons makes it clear that your abilities as a warrior are of the highest order, but even a top-notch fighter has a breaking point. You will lead an expedition to the daemonic lair known as Blood Dungeon in Ilshenar, slaying one of each of the following beasts; - A Blood Elemental - A Balron - A Succubus In addition to this, at least one of the above must be Golden. Be sure to include sketches documenting each kill.
Discipline and Loyalty
With the world being the incredibly dark and dangerous place that it is, Cove constantly finds itself facing one former ally or another on the battlefield. Amidst this maelstrom of shifting allegiances and false friendships, only one other nation has remained a steadfast and honest partner of Cove; the Duchy of Trinsic. With the Baron having named me as Steward of Cove, tasked with governing in his absence until an heir is decided upon, it is necessary to assure the Duke of Trinsic that Cove intends to honor the tradition of cooperation established in past years.
You are to Organize and Lead a Caravan stocked with many of Cove's finest wares, bringing it to Trinsic safely by foot. When you arrive, you will, acting as a formal Envoy of the Baronship, deliver a message reaffirming Cove's dedication to maintaining the peace between our nations. You will be tasked with ensuring that all Guardsman and Civilians present behave with respect and discipline.
It is up to you to gather and prepare the wares being shipped to Trinsic. You will likely need to enlist the aid of several people to complete this task. If you require assistance with notifying the Trinsicans of the Caravan, I will gladly supply you with the pigeon cage numbers of the appropriate officials.
Don't start any wars.
*Signed in a rather formal manner to which he is obviously not accustomed;* Torrak Keres, Steward of Cove
