Today was very eventful. First I was given a cadre training by Captain Morana and led to the Orc fort. Then on our return we were duped into cutting up drugs in the guise of pot-pouri bags. Following this an arrest was made on the perpetrators who attacked two officers in their attempt to escape arrest. Eventually the criminals were put in jail whilst some of us stood guard. Unfortunately later that evening Miss Harper and I were tricked into believing another guardsman was going to continue to watch the guardsmen so we could get a drink at the Swaggers. On our arrival there we found it empty so hurried back to Cove to find the cells empty and one of the criminals sat outside the Goblin. We questioned him and he told us that he had paid a fine and was set free but didn't know what happened to the other two.
Some time later Commander Hoagie and Regular Kobra arrived to say Vesper had taken one of the criminals prisoner and were willing to hand them over as a good will gesture. So we headed off to Vesper and waited as terms were discussed and agreed on.
Kobra and I were left to bring the prisoner back to Cove during which I was asked to record what was said and make a report.
The prisoner spoke of a Vesperian warship armed with 12 cannons and named Twothumb.
It was noted that this Twothumb was a past Mayor of Vesper during a previous alliance with Cove and may be a sign of a possible attack on our shores.
